Review from HomeOwner Review left on 5 Sep 2014Rating: 5 out of 5My husband and I decided to renovate our 100 year old home. It was a very old style house with 3 separate rooms on the first floor and 3 rooms plus one bathroom on the second floor. We wanted an open concept on the first floor and additional bathrooms. I had trouble getting contractors to call me back. Gabe answered the phone the first time I called him. He explained how he and Joe worked and what we could expect. We were impressed with their work ethic and hired them. The work they did was amazing to say the least. Their high standards made our home modern and yet still cozy. We love what they've done. We're planning some work in the basement and will have them back again. Awesome work guys!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We were happy to welcome back Gabe and Joe for our second project with them. With a baby on the way and starting to running out, we had to call in the pros to ensure that our multi-floor renovation would be finished ahead of time. The guys were extremely helpful in every aspect of the job, communicating initial design concerns, working through small bumps along the way and celebrating project successes. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the results. The basement bathroom, though a small footprint, looks great and feels large and the top floor bathroom has a perfect layout and looks fantastic. If you're looking for a trustworthy crew with outstanding workmanship in your home, then look to Palmeri construction for your next project.Answer from pro:

Review left on 4 Feb 2013Rating: 5 out of 5Exterior wood cladding work
Gabriel and Joe were very creative in resolving tricky exterior woodwork (exterior wall cladding, fascia trims, new porch columns with wood encasement) on our 100 year old house. They are very professional, true to their word and their estimate, and importantly, schedule commitment. Gabriel and Joe are also excellent with their craft, and my wife and I are very happy with the quality of the work that they provided to our house!Answer from pro:
Frank, Thank you for such a wonderful review, Although we work on quite a number of century homes within the city, this one in particular was tricky. With out of level walls and mother nature hitting us with bad weather, it was quite a challenge to say the least. All in all it turned out beautifully moreover we enjoy a challenge.

After many attempts at finding a Contractor to come in and quote us on our renovation needs, (and not being called back from most of them!) I went onto Homestars to look into hiring someone who would assist us with our drywall project. I called 2 people on Homestars. Both called back right away, but one cancelled his home visit on the day he was scheduled to arrive. Gabriel stuck to his word. He came in, was the utmost professional, listened to what we wanted done, asked thoughtful questions, and got back to us with a quote within a week. What struck me about Gabe was his honesty and the feeling that I could trust him. His quote was reasonable, not the cheapest of the two that we received, but well worth it after we started working with him. My husband was home while the work was being completed, and he called me everyday to give me a progress update, and went on about how much he liked Gabriel and his partner in crime, Joe. They went out of their way to impress us, adding little touches and details free of charge, and always checking in to make sure that we were pleased. If we questioned something, he listened. And if we wanted something done a slightly different way, he listened and accommodated us. Gabe and his brother in law Joe were pleasures to work with. The project looked great when it was done, and we won't hesitate to contact him again with several more projects that we will need done within the next year. Gabriel can do a mean drywall but he knows how to do so much more than just that. We plan on contacting him for our kitchen reno, bathroom reno, and floors once we have saved up more money. We trust them and they do excellent work.Answer from pro:

Review left on 10 May 2012Rating: 5 out of 5Kitchen backsplash
We love our kitchen backsplash! We renovated the kitchen a while back but never got around to finishing the backsplash. After Gabriel and Joe came and completed the backsplash, we felt that it made a significant difference. They were hardworking, professional, and very honest people. We really enjoyed working with them and will definitely call them up if we decide to work on other areas of the house.Answer from pro:

Gabriel and Joe did an exceptional job on the drywalling and finishing of our living room and front hallway. Gabriel was prompt in showing up to give us a quote, which was honoured by the end of the job. No surprises. We were so pleased with the drywalling that we hired them to finish the window and door trim as well as baseboards -- which they again completed on time and to a degree of perfection that my late father, a carpenter, would have appreciated. We are planning on having them back again soon to do a stone floor as well as work on our porch. As do-it-yourselfers who have done much of the work in our home up until recently, my wife and I have had much trepidation about hiring contractors (and we have had some unhappy experiences) but Gabriel and Joe at Palmeri have put our fears to rest. We recommend them highly.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Gabriel and Joe were great to work with - professionals from start to finish. They provided us with honest advice. They certainly weren't the lowest estimate, but their attention to detail, craftsmanship, responsiveness, and professionalism were well worth the price. They finished the job on time and on budget. They showed up when they said they would and when we thought there was a issue post renovation completion they showed up the same day to investigate. I recommend Plameri Construction.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 18 Jul 2011Rating: 5 out of 5Kitchen renovation
This is the latest review for the work Gabriel and Joe did for us. It was our kitchen renovation. We waited to leave on vacation so that most of the work could be done while we were away. We obvously trust Gabriel and Joe very much to do this and left them in our home for 2 wks. They were very conscientious about their nightly close up and the situation worked very well. Although we did not order customized kitchen furniture, we did our measurements over and over to make sure that the stand-alone Ikea cabinets for our new kitchen would fit and were aware that there would be a significant amount custom cutting done to fit the pieces into place. Gabriel and Joe certainly had their work cut out for them. Theyfirst demolished the upper cabinets so that our kichen would be more open and let in more light and then replaced an unstructured bulkhead and partial dividing wall as the lathe and plaster was falling apart. They laid a brand new, beautiful hardwood floor in for us matching it as best they could to the adjacent living room floor that existed previously, and then began the gruelling task of assembling and finally custom fitting 2 large, oddly shaped, pre-fabricated Ikea base cabinets. This was no easy task as plumbing and electrical had to be altered and the cabinets had to be custom cut in various places. The expertise required to handle this oddly shaped and very old kitchen challenged these men and they effortlessly seemed to rise to the challenge and completed it in a reasonable amount of time and with a beautiful outcome, especially given the level of difficulty they were faced with. We were significantly impressed. The final result was a seamless and fresh looking kitchen that offered more light, ease of use and ultimate function. We are very happy in our new kitchen and wish we had done it sooner. We will be calling them again to help us to replace a few doors and do some custom wood work sometime in the Spring.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
Review left on 16 Jun 2011Rating: 5 out of 5Ceiling leveling + drywall and more
My wife and I live in a 90-year-old semi in East York which was in dire need of some work. After it was stripped down to its bones and we ran out of steam finishing the kitchen, Gabe and Joe came to the rescue to finish off our wonky ceilings. I felt at ease from the first meeting with Gabe, as he was open and honest about his work on other houses, provided us with pictures of his other work, referred us to his homestar reviews and was recommended by a friend of ours and previous customer of Gabe's. Things only got better from there. Gabe and Joe were on time every morning, insisted that they clean up at the end of each day and offered countless suggestions about my own renovations as well as those they were working on at the house. And they were in good spirits the entire time they were working and that goes a long way in my books as a consumer. The house looks 100 times better now, so we're completely happy. Quality work by quality dudes. A definite recommend.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Very reliable company, always on-time, in-line with quotation and did not cut corners to speed up the job. The work quality is very professional and we are pleased with the overall end result. We would highly recommend this company to our friends and already have done so.
