    new roof

    They did a new roof last summer on a rental home. They were extremely professional. Quote was what was expected. They cleaned up after themselves. Job was finished on time. A year later no problems.

    Reroof

    Explained I wanted the roof done before a certain day due to guest over the summer: otherwise to be done at the end of the year. I signed a contract with a 10 day cancellation but at about 15 days I canceled; they kept 10 % of the total value of the project back $1,364 from my deposit; explaining they had the right to keep 20%. I should never of signed the dotted line so beware. They had a 40 dry day wait which was way too long. They said they keep the money back for allocated resources? which I'm sure won't go to waist; so why keep any $$ back at all!! In response to Shaun Mayhew Penfolds Manager I was clear when I signed the contract that the work needed to be completed before June 8th arrival of my visitors. This date should of been written in an addendum to the contract. Deposit paid April 25th. Once I learned your were working 40 dry days out, the contract should of been cancelled by yourselves as you were unable to fulfill my request that only had a 36 day window; so you were unable from the beginning to complete my project. This was an expensive wast of my time. Surlang Roofing were very clear in that they had people still waiting from last year as the weather had been so wet. They do not want you to sign a contract so far out with no hope of getting the job done in a timely manner. I do not believe Penfolds were out of pocket from my allocated resources do you? Man up and pay up if you want me to shut up.

    Hi Suzie, This is a very unfortunate set of circumstances. We do our utmost to meet timelines under usual circumstances. This year started off with extraordinarily wet weather and has created long delays in regards to scheduling. In fact, we set many records with the amount of rainfall we received. When factoring the rain with the long accumulation of snow we did not have more than two consecutive dry days which exacerbated the scheduling even further and especially flat roof scheduling. Your project is a flat roof that requires dry weather to complete along with all flat roofs. With such a wet start to the year, there have been scheduling delays. We never made a guarantee at the time we signed the contract to a specific start date or timeline. Had we been told that the deadline was mandatory we would have been upfront letting you know we could not make it. Only after we had invested resources into the project did it become clear that the project had to start and be completed by a certain date. We wish you all the best with your project.     Repair under warranty

    Penfolds installed a flat roof and a cap sheet a few years back. When cleaning the roof I noticed a build up of water under one layer where there had been a failed seam. James from Penfolds was right onto the issue and spent extra time ensuring the rest of the roof was holding up. The warranty was fully honored. The company is looking good.

    Roofing

    They promised a lot before sale. They are expensive company and they are not good in details. I called them many times to take care of deficiencies and each time they send a person who is qualified to take care of deficiencies and he promise to report and send some else but it never happen. When it raining ,we have so many problem to clean the drainage which was set unprofessionally by people of Penfolds. I dont recommend them at all.

    New roof

    1st class service 1st class workmanship quality materials , it's rare in this day and age to have a company do exactly what they said they would do plus leave the place spotless . I can't remember ever giving a company 100% but this one deserves it

    new roof

    I was about to install vent piping and I noticed the through roof rubber boot was damaged, I called Penfolds as this boot was installed less than 2 years ago with the new roof. They dispatched a repair man and replaced it the same day! Now that's what I call service! Thank You Richard Burbidge

    Roof replacement

    Leak in roof which was needing replacement. Received quick emergency tarp service in rainy, snowy weather. Work done in rapid time and cleanup was impeccable. Great attention to detail eg flashings which solved drip problem.

    New Roof

    I recently had my roof replaced when I discovered a leak during a rainstorm. Jason Pistawka, from Penfolds, came out very quickly to asses and stop the leak. After comparing other companies quotes, I went with Penfolds. Rey and his crew were fantastic. They did a great job on the roof and kept the job site very clean. Once the snow melted, they came back to do another clean up of the job site. I was very pleased with the job they did and would highly recommend Penfolds to friends.

    Metal roof

    We had our old cedar roof replace with a metal one at the end of october. The crews were fantastic at working efficiently and keeping the site clean and safe. They stayed late, arrived early and were always cheerful. They worked through miserable weather and made sure we were water tight at the end of every night. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the market for a new roof.

    Home roof replacement

    Penfold's replaced my storm damaged, clay tile roof, with their Eco-rubber roof, completing the job at the end of Nov 2016. I was so impressed with the roofers, they worked tirelessly even into the early darkness, wearing head lamps to complete the tarping and securing for overnight. The wind was howling, the temperature was -8C and still they worked diligently. They cleaned up every night, they arrived early every morning. The finished job looks fantastic. The roofing supervisor visited every couple of days to ensure that I was satisfied with the progress of the job, and answered my questions along the way. Penfold's office contacted me by email for any changes to scheduling, enabling me to live a normal life. I would definitely recommend this company as I found them reliable and very competent.
