The service went from slow and poor to nonexistent and now they are "insolvent" with our money. And obviously the money of others here. Used them last year and they were decent. Signed a contract again this year, pre-paid of course. First snow fall the cleanup was slow but they came. Poor workmanship - i.e. lots of snow remaining on steps. Same thing with last snowfall. There was a huge snowstorm in late January. About a foot of snow. Days passed and no service. I wrote; I called. Nothing. I sent four emails, all of which wen unanswered. I eventually had to hire another contractor on an ad hoc basis. Another snowfall came and went with no service and no communication. I decided to send a letter demanding a refund of our money. About two weeks later, I received an email notifying me that the company was "insolvent". Not bankrupt but insolvent, We are considering our legal options - not sure there is any way to speak to other reviewers here directly but would be interested in doing so.

Rosedale Snow Removal's method of avoiding customer service questions or complaints is taking their phone off the hook and not replying to emails. They did not bother showing up at all after the most recent large snowfall, even though they were paid in full in advance for the service. No one came to clear the snow, they did not communicate - they are not a legitimate operator - stay away.

Worst service ever! Came a couple of times and did substandard job. Have not shown up after last snowfall which was more than 48 hours ago. No response to email or phone calls. Wondering if they took people’s money and left town.

They are expected (based on their own contract) to clean the snow in 12 hours after snowfall stops. Last weekend, they showed up after 24 hours. This time around it has been 48 hours and they are still a no-show. They don't respond to calls or emails. Our car was blocked in for two days until we cleaned up our driveway ourselves. Never use them!!

Have not shown up 2 days after snowfall. They do not respond to email or phone. Last time they came they did a sloppy job. A truly an uneccaptable bussiness ethic.

I cannot tell you how many times I have contacted this company over poor service/removal & how completely inefficient they are. I can’t believe they are still in business. Tjey do not answer their phones after a snowfall & have not come to remove any snow whatsoever 48 hours after the huge snowfall we received. Do not waste your time here as waiting for spring would be a better option for you.

UPDATE - RECEIVED LETTER DAtED FEBRUARY 20, 2019. - SAYING INSOLVENT AND CEASED OPERATING Second season using Rosedale snow Removal. They are sadly not reliable and seem overwhelmed when have to provide snow removal service. First major snowfall since started using them was on Monday January 28. It is now 4 pm on Wednesday January 30 and they still have not come to do any snow clearing. Deep snow so cannot use my driveway. I cleared my own sidewalk on Tuesday since they had not showed up. When I emailed on Tuesday to find out if coming, they said out serving properties - which I assumed meant would get to me. Still haven’t showed up and no longer returning emails. If they had told me that could not come then I could have shoveled myself before the extreme cold weather which is now here. Contract says guarantee snow removal within 12 hours of end of snow fall. Many recent google reviews sadly shows that I am not alone. Many customers left without the snow plowing and shovelling they paid for. Very disappointed that they are unreliable and not providing service. And not communicating. UPDATE - they did come and clear snow in afternoon on Thursday January 31 (3 days after snowfall). Happy that they eventually came but answering emails / some communication would have kept me from major efforts to try to find replacement to plow driveway.

Do NOT use this snow removal service. They come (if they come at all) 1 to 2 days past a snowfall, I've had snow removal service for 11 years, and switched to Rosedale this year (what a mistake!). Our other company stopped doing residential. Find another company with a better rating. I wish I checked Homestars before I paid them.

My neighbour and I contracted Rosedale for snow removal on our joint driveway and entrance areas. Service was expected to be max 12 hours, 4-6 hours as advised by email. The clearing does not happen for up to a full day from snowfall. Often they do not come. When on property, clearing of stairs and key areas is inadequate. They are impossible to reach by phone. Do not recommend.
