    Simmons mattress

Simmons mattress defective...slumping over In less than six months. We have a stain on the mattress so we are unable to use our warranty. Customer service has been a nightmare from our first phone call. Rude, rude, rude. Why can no stain be on a defective mattress? Obviously they re-use??? Disgusting. I had no cover as I did not intend to return.....am only returning because it is DEFECTIVE. I will continue to use word of mouth to complain about this company. Such a nightmare. Christine Magee...what a poor company. Way to go.

    Mattress

I have been involved with a warranty claim for our mattress for over a month now and still they have not replaced the mattress. We are waiting yet again to see what they will do. Our mattress is only 6 years old. From the initial photos (which is not how the inspector measures the indents and shifting), to the subsequent photos requested, to the wait for an inspector to contact me, to having the mattress professionally cleaned as required to, to waiting for a further response and another inspection the sleep country warranty claim process is a time consuming hassle meant to exhaust you. We were told that because there was some minor discolouration on the mattress from sweat that we had to have it professionally cleaned and it is still quite possible that the claim would be rejected. We have an expensive mattress pad on our bed, but there is some very minor discolouration. If you want to have any chance at a successful warranty claim make sure that you put a fully waterproof mattress pad on your bed as even the slightest mark will result in a denial of your claim. There response time is also horrible - it always takes 3 days to get a response and an inspection takes 2-4 weeks to get.

    Purchase

My husband and I purchased a mattress last week (April 13)only to find out after the sale it can't be delivered until the Saturday after Easter Long weekend unless we'd like to pay an additional $50.00 for delivery at a specific time which cannot be after 6:00p.m. During the week we had an unforseen circumstance arise whereby we need to get a refund on the money. My husband went into the store to get the refund only to be told they cannot refund the money on the spot however they can only process the refund by cheque which has to go through Corporate Office which takes 5 business days. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Even Walmart refunds money on the spot through interact why cant they???????? Tell everyone all your friends family, not to purchase from sleep country. If this is the customer service provided even before we received the mattress I cannot imagine the problems one would have if you had issues after the purchase.

    Purchase of a bed

This is my second purchase at Sleep Country and I should have learned the first time. They sell you on the fact that you can exchange the bed if not satisfied but they do everything they can to discourage you from doing it. I bought sheets both times. My bad. They are ill fitting, wrinkly and the pillow case seam split on night 3. I will be taking back this last lot of sheets, exchanging the bed and never, ever going back.

    Mattress purchase

Purchased a mattress a little over a year ago when it started to sag. Warranty has denied my claim as impressions need to be 1.5 inches or more. Their customer service used to be outstanding but not anymore. 10 year warranty what?

    Mattress

I recently purchased a new queen set at sleep country in Burlington. The store is quite small and they didn't have as many display models as I would have liked (they had most of the tempurpedic which is what I had originally been interested in). The sales staff seemed knowledgeable and were pretty helpful. I am not sure if I would go to this location again, simply due to the size. Overall pleased with the purchase.

    Bed

BEWARE!!! They promise a 10 year warrenty on beds but make it virtually impossible when you hold them to it!! I went through head office and sent them over 15 pictures of the mattress which showed how it had deformed over time . Head office ok'd that my bed was defective and said they would give me a new one. Upon delivery date of my new mattress these delivery guys came in and told me that my warrenty was most likely void cause my staircase was too small to get the bed up and that I must of ruined the mattress originally getting it upstairs and then they continued to point out non existing stains!!!! What waste of my time !!! I have never written a review about any company but this was so ridiculous. If you buy from sleep country consider that 10 year warrenty non existence because they will make it impossible .

    Box Spring and Mattress

I have NEVER received such bad customer service. Our box spring broke (on a knot) a couple of weeks after we bought it, and they declined our warranty as well as Shirley refused to help us at the Royal Oak branch in Calgary..the store we purchased it at. Talking to her was like speaking with an automated useless robot. I highly recommend to shop ANYWHERE but Sleep Country.

    Sleep Country

Bought a Mattress and Boxspring, boxspring was torn on delivery they said it would be replaced. I asked for it to be replaced with a 6" box spring, And they charged me 56.50 because it now became a comfort exchange….Shysters..back to Sears next time.
