    Sleep Country is TERRIBLE

    I purchased a mattress with a 10 year warranty. At the halfway mark, I called in and requested someone look at it, and they told me that the mattress has to sink 3 INCHES in order for it to be replaced! So, now we gotta wait and suffer till the mattress sinks another inch? Are these guys serious?! DO NOT SHOP HERE! Go to The Bay. They are more customer satisfaction friendly

    mattress set

    We purchased a set for our daughter to go to university and requested a certain date for pick up at a particular store close to the school. We made the arrangements 3 weeks prior to this day. This was our only time window to pick it up and get it to the house. It was not in the requested store when we arrived and was apparently in transit. The store staff were helpful and tried to get a date for delivery but no promise could be made. Our daughter would be without a bed for possibly several days. The store staff were very kind and tried to be helpful but we called customer service to complain about the inconvenience this had created and there was no apology, no solution offered other than going to the warehouse and picking it up ourselves. My husband made the point that this would cost us gas we did not expect and they offered us $50 towards gas even though we said we would not go since we wanted the set delivered to the store within 5 minutes of the school (for ease of transporting the mattress set on top of car). We told them that we would rather have the set delivered to the store and we would rearrange our schedules to allow us to come back another day and would they still offer us the $50 gas money to which they replied no, you won't go to the warehouse today so that is not our problem! We had driven for over 4 hours to get to the store, and still had another 2 hours to drive home, we were tired, it was rush hour, and we did not think that we should have to go and pick it up at the warehouse. Finally my husband said that we were going to cancel our order unless they gave us $100 for gas costs to drive 2 hours one way the next day and that we wanted to have the mattress set delivered to the house. They agreed! However, an hour later we got a phone call that they would not deliver to the house as promised and that we would have to come to the store after all! We are now looking at mattresses elsewhere and seriously considering cancelling the order. The customer service is very poor and we will not shop at Sleep Country again!

    new bed

    when i went in looking for a bed i was sold the top of the line model and a little while latter i noticed my back was really sore.when i went back to the store they blew me off ,and gave me a 1800 number when i called they were no help at all. I would not buy a bed of these guys,they do not stand behind what they sell totally a rip off . rob skujins

    box spring and mattress

    I foolishly responded to a good ad campaign and a very aggressive sell on a Kingsdown mattress. I'm a senior on a limited income and this set was way beyond my price range. I was maneuvered away from the bed that I found most comfortable and towards a much more expensive set. I requested a soft mattress and ended up with a hard one that hurts my back and is much less comfortable than the bed it replaced. I was sold a mattress cover that doesn't fit properly and a box spring that was too high. I had to exchange that just so I could get into the bed. However when I decided to exchange the mattress as well and go with my original choice I found that my account had been closed early due to the exchange of the box spring. They wouldn't allow me to exchange the mattress. The mattress is also an inch higher than most beds and it is difficult to find sheets to fit it. I am unable to afford another mattress so am extremely unhappy with my experience at Sleep Country and with that particular sales person.

    Mattress

    We were looking for a new mattress for a new home and thought we give sleep country a try. The salesperson allowed us to try many different beds and seems to be very knowledgeable on the mattresses. We went with the Serta icomfort because it was the most comfortable one to us. The salespeople are a bit pushy but did give us a decent deal. Overall the shopping wasn't too bad unlike the horror stories we keep hearing about the company.

    Product

    Bought a new bed and their service was pretty good until we had a problem as per the misunderstanding for a pillow exchange. overall service was decent and we would return.

    Credit Card Refund

    Was issued credit refund slip but told would take 5 working days to be processed. Seemed weird. Followed up a month later not processed due to "clerical omission"!!. Hoping not everyone will remember to check statement for the credit refund. DD

    Great company and mattress

    I am surprise to see such negative reviews. I had such a wonderful experience with them. I bought a mattress during boxing day, which was part of their joyful collection. It was discounted and I needed it for my bad back. The mattress was amazing and my back problems literally vanished. But after 2 or 3 months unfortunately the mattress failed and started to sag. Now the store has a 60 day exchange policy free of charge, you only pay delivery costs which are only $50. But sadly by the time I called 4 months had gone by. Nevertheless the Sleep Country team was so helpful and said don't worry we will waive that restriction and get you a new one. Just go into any store and pick up a mattress of your choice. I live in Toronto but happened to be in Ottawa visiting family and went to a store there and they were so helpful and were able to accommodate me from there. I got the upgraded version of this mattress and no additional charge. And in the fee of $50 for shipping they threw in some pillows as well. So in all i'm a very happy customer and the experience was great. Customer service matters so much and they really delivered. And this upgraded mattress is so nice, it has a gel system that doesn't heat up your entire back. Love it.

    Purchased bedding

    I purchased a queen bed sheet set. The quality of the bedding was good but I wasn't happy with the PVC packaging (it's toxic). The mattresses were very well marketed but seemed low on quality and wasn't a purchase I was going to make for longevity. Overall was not impressed with the commercialized and not-very-caring-about-the-product-itself approach :)

    Matterss

    We bought a bed through sleep country and the warranty everything. 1year ago I started the warranty claim. Had pictures taken. Warranty was approved and here we sit 1.5 yes later and nothing. Have had delivery set up and then cancelled. Many problems many promises and still waiting
