When I bought my house 7 years ago, the building inspector said that the roof would need replacing within a year. Needless to say, after 7 years the shingles stated falling off with each windstorm. I consulted Homestars and contacted several top-rated roofers. Russ from Smart Roofing was very prompt and knowledgable and explained all my options to me. Apparently, my roof had a layer of old wood shingles along with two additional layers of asphalt shingles (which probably explains why it looked so bad, but didn't leak). There was also some soffet repair that was needed and Russ wrote this into the quote along with a cost. As I was happy with Russ' servivce and price, I called and indicated that I would like to accept the quote including the upgrade shingle ($350 extra). My new attached neighbours expressed interest in replacing their roof too, so contacted Russ and agreed a quote to get it all done at the same time with the same shingles. The work: Quality work throughout. The entire job took 4 long days with the guys working hard, long hours, often to 9pm. Cleanup was excellent and the finished product looks fantastic. Issues: Small issues, but a little annoying. The lead time turned out to be double the estimate communicated by Russ. Nothing communicated. The soffet work detailed in the contract was not done and Smart Roofing seemed surprised that there was additional work to be done. Smart had to wait until Russ returned from vacation to clarify, even though it was clearly written in the contract. Several weeks later, soffet work was completed to the expected high standard. Overall: The issues were minor and the work did end up being completed to a very high standard (which is all that really matters). The price was very competitive and fair. I would not hesitate to recommend Smart Roofing to others (I have already recommended them to my other neighbours).

I hired smart roofing about 1.5 y ago. I supervised the job every minute from start to finish to ensure everything went according to what I paid for. I would say that Smart Roofing did an absolutely perfect job. Not a single small mistake at all. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

Smart Roofing installed a new roofing system over our entire house. We had no problems with the service from the salesperson to the roofers. Of course you will have to pick up nails for a few months, but they did a pretty good job. Everything seems to be fine for our roof and hopefully we don't have to use the guarantee.

Jerry and the team of installers were professional and did a great job. The work was done in a timely manner and a couple of minor issues were qucikly dealt with. Darlene in the office provided great communications and was prompt with all of the paper work.

Just a short note to commend the folks at Smart Roofing on the excellent work they did installing a large, new roof. I got at total of 8 estimates for the roof, including 3 from Home Depot and 3 from Home Services. Bob from Smart Roofing gave by far the most competent and professional estimate. He answered simple questions, was personable and pointed out the problems and solutions for a leaky and worn out roof. The estimates from the other companies were amateurish and untrustworthy...either much higher or much lower...a red flag in either case. The workers that came out were a pleasure to have around the house and gave 'top services'. They worked long days and cleaned up every day. They didn't leave on nail behind and cleaned all the gutters. This wasn't an easy job but they finished it in good time and it looks fantastic. They also gave a couple of good suggestions on how to avoid animal problems on the roof. Graet job guys! Thanks Bob!

I called smart roofing and Bob Morgan returned my call the next day. He made an appointment to come to my house and I was impressed by the punctuality, he went on my roof and actually measured it I had a few other quotes but nobody else went on the roof to measure it. His estimate was competitive and he assured me it was quality work. With in two weeks he had a crew at my house. They were very cautious about my gardens and yard. The crew worked very hard and I'm completely satisfied and would recommend this company to anyone. Thanks again Bob this was a fantastic job.

My roof was leaking in one of the bedrooms, and I called several roofing companies, but Smart Roofing was the one company who responded in a timely fashion, and answered my questions I had over the phone. I was then scheduled to have a roofing specialist come out and inspect my roof. Jerry came out, and was able to locate the problem, which was from racoons. Jerry had suggested that I still have a few years before my whole roof needed to be replaced, so he quoted me on a new roof, and just replacing part of the roof. I decided to go with the whole roof, as the price was fair, and I was very impressed with Jerry and the staff. The crew that did my roof was exceptional. They were careful not to damage anything, and they were tidy, and very professional. If I ever move, and find myself needing a new roof, I will absolutely be calling Smart Roofing.

Received several quotes for my roof but decided to go with smart roofing because smart roofing was the only company to go on the roof to measure and inspect the roof. The crew was quick tidy and very professional. would definately reccomend them.

Happy Customer. About 2 months ago I had my roof done from Smart Roofing and it was the best choice I ever made. The staff and crew were very courteous and proessional. My roof never looked so good and I am very pleased with the results. Would recommend using Smart Roofing.
