after experiencing substandard roof installation process 14 yrs ago (2002) with half dozen leaks over that time which resulted in labour costs. After obtaining 3 vendor estimates we engaged SMART ROOFING (based in our area for >25 yrs) in late spring 2016. Their thorough analysis including send us e-pictures of inside attic as part of the daily updates was most helpful in making decisions about repairs needed. the crew were very professional and efficient. The upper roof was removed on day 1 plus larger updated metal vents-fans installed, rotten joists sistered up (remediated), a few rotten deck boards replaced and new shingles installed on day same day. The lower roof process the same but no attic trouble so by end of day two the crew were in full clean up mode and their bin was removed a few days later. Efficiency in the form of 3 very professional installers & a single site manager for both days was very much appreciated and much different from our previous roofing experience. The work was quick and efficient and entire job done in 2 cool but sunny days in May. Because we are unable to do our own roof repairs we also purchased a 50 yr warranty on materials and 25 years for all repairs resulting from other damage to materials. Now that is roof security given that wind, weather, and animal damage often result in caulking and shingle cracks or other damage over the years. At this point it seems like we dealt with a very a 'smart' roofing company.

Very happy with Smart Roofing - the quote was reasonable and the job was able to start a week earlier than they first estimated. They put in long hours - after 6pm every day - to get the job finished quickly, and cleaned up after themselves every night as well as at the end of the job. And they were still speaking to us after we decided to relocate one of the downspouts, forcing them to remove about 30ft of just installed eavestrough. They come highly recommended from me.

Excellent work. They arrived when they said they would. They did the job fast and efficientiently. They cleaned up all around the house so that there was no left over mess. Very professional.

My house is only 10 years old, but the roof was installed by the builder using low-quality material and terrible workmanship, leading to frequent leaks. Since we plan to live here indefinitely, we decided to get a roof with a lifetime warranty. First, we looked online for a good product, and chose Certainteed. Then we picked three local certified installers from the Certainteed website. All three companies were reputable and their quotes were similar. Any one would have been a good choice, but we chose Smart Roofing because of the frank honesty that Bob displayed, and the understanding and patience he showed when explaining his recommendations. Simply put, my wife and I believe that Bob and Smart Roofing can be trusted by even the most cynical home owner. Furthermore, the workers were experienced and competent, and were very friendly and considerate. Most importantly, I went up on the roof with Bob to do the final inspection, and confirmed that the installation was flawless.

Bob Morgan came to give us a price and was very knowledgeable about roofing.We asked for a certain date for the start and Bob came through for us.His crew was exceptional and the clean-up afterwards was fantastic.As for the price it was not the cheapest price nor not the highest but was very reasonable.To finish up here Bob made it very easy and is a great guy to deal with.

This company was very professional and did a good job from beginning to end for us. The crew were experienced & attentive and worked hard to complete the job during a favourable weather window. No problems following a good rain this week so we'll look for a long run on this roof as warrantied!

Great service! Bob came out in December to fix raccoon damage, and we decided it's best to redo the roof in the spring. Along with new eaves, we had guards installed. Bob was always on time, great to deal with and answered all my questions. Extremely pleased with the service I received. The guys showed up promptly at 7am to start on the roof. They stayed until 6pm, and the shingles were all done! They did a fanatic job of cleaning up around the house. The eaves guys showed up the week after and again finished the installation in about 10 hours. Barely noticed they were there because the cleanup was great! The house looks fantastic, we are incredibly pleased. As well there price was extremely competitive to other companies we compared to.
