Mike is great. He will do my basement soon. He is very patient, as i ran into a family crisis (my father died) and he told me to take my time, and when I was ready to get started just give him a call

We chose Sonoma Contracting for our recent basement rennovation after getting a very strong recommendation from our neighbour. Now that the job is done, we can't say enough about our very satisfying experience working with Mike and Aldo. Their quote on the work was fair, and they stuck scrupulously to it -- absolutely no surprises on the final bill. The quality of the workmanship was impeccable. They listened to our concerns along the way and promptly dealt with anything that wasnt exactly what we wanted to make it right. They stuck to their schedule, and always advised us of any minor delays. They were proactive in giving us advice on design/material alterations to improve the project and to help us avoid problems down the line. In the end they created a whole new space that we are extremely pleased with and that has added significantly to the value of our home. After hearing many rennovation horror stories, we feel lucky indeed to have discovered Mike and Aldo.

We had Mike and his team finish our basement. Right from the initial meeting he was better than the rest. He provided suggestions that other contractors didn't, like moving our hot water tank so that we could accommodate a bathroom. Mike was also willing to move the plumbing and gas lines so that we wouldn't have to lower our ceiling and frame around everything. Mike and his team worked hard every day and were finished well before the estimated date. Mike was always in touch and was willing to do what it took to make sure we were happy. We would definitely recommend and use Sonoma Contracting again.

My husband and I hired Mike to renovate our basement. We decided to enlarge our basement windows and insert a new window. Aldo and his crew did a great job. We were very happy with Mike. Mike is a great guy and nothing was more evident than keeping his customers happy. He was very easygoing and accomodating. Our basement looks incredible and definately does not feel like we're in a basement. Workmanship is top notch. Everyone that sees it, is in awe! We have already recommended Mike to our neighbors, friends and family. When we are ready, we'll be calling Mike back to do our main floor. Thanks Mike!!!

We hired Mike in March after having interviewed 10 different companies (all from Homestars) and were impressed by Mike's competitive price and friendly nature. After having been disappointed by different trades people in the past, I was very skeptical at first but Mike and Aldo's team proved that they knew what they were doing and were professionals when it came to basement renovation. Despite several changes to the original plans, they were able to finish the project on time and we have now hired them to do our kitchen! I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat. These guys are the real deal.

When we decided to do our basement renovation we chose several top rated contractors from Homestars. Mike did an excellent job during the appraisal of discussing our options and showed a lot of flexibility on what we wanted to do. He submitted a very competitive quote and based on our comfort with him along with his quote we chose him and his crew. We were very happy with him and his team. They were all very friendly, were flexible with a few design changes on the fly and most importantly they did an outstanding job. Care was taken in the construction and we were very pleased with the result. Although Mike and Aldo had several other jobs on the go, our project was never delayed and was finished on time. I would highly recommend Sonoma to anyone considering a renovation. They are great people to do business with.

After comparing several contractors, I chose Sonoma Contracting, largely based on their Homestars reviews, and I’m pleased to say that Mike, Aldo and the rest of the crew are definitely a 10 out of 10. On-time and on-budget, they transformed a “do-it-yourself handyman” constructed basement rec room and bathroom into bright, modern works of art. Their craftsmanship is first-rate and the two rooms are better than I ever thought they could be. They also did a great job installing crown moulding in two upstairs rooms. The team keeps working until the job is done, and I felt totally comfortable giving them a key to the house. Mike has a winning attitude, is extremely personable and was very responsive to all of my questions, even while I was emailing him late at night. He also spent the most time with me, out of all the people I had look at the basement, in discussing options, taking notes and ultimately delivering a completely accurate quote. I’m already thinking up other projects for Sonoma to do and won’t look anywhere else when it comes time to do the rest of the basement.

Basement project nice quality of work. Very neat. When finished, great job on clean-up. Polite and seemed honest and very willing to talk through many options to help us decide what was best for us. Hardworking guys. I have nothing but good things to say for these guys. Nice to know there are honest and hardworking people in this industry. John
