    LG Refrigerator

    LG fridge now replaced 3 times and Tasco has been really terrible in follow-up or making sure things are taken care of - CS team has really poor staff. Will never shop from again

    Kitchen appliances

    Tasco is a great local company, and I've bought from them a few times in the past. We recently purchased a new round of kitchen appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave) from them, and they absolutely have the best prices hands down when it comes to competition. As I said before, they're a great company and I would go back to them in a heartbeat.

    Bought appliances

    I bought appliances from Tasco in December 2012 and must say I was really pleased overall with the service I received. Kam at the store was just great — he was so on top of things and quickly handled any little requests we had. I've actually already recommended Tasco to two other people (specifically because of Kam) and will continue to do so. The delivery went fairly smoothly, although the delivery guys literally just dropped the appliances in the house (my only 'service-related' complaint, but it really just depends on who is doing the deliveries on any given day). Overall, I would definitely purchase from Tasco again because they offered better pricing than their competitors, and of course, due to Kam's excellent service.

    Appliances for new house

    We recently purchased 4 major appliances from Tasco for our new home. Unfortunately, the Kitchenaid dishwasher we received did not work out of the box. We called Tasco who directed us to the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent a technician who determined that the motor (one of the primary components of the dishwasher) needs to be replaced. Given that it is a brand new machine and has never worked, our perspective is, we did not pay for a refurbished machine but a new one and therefore wanted the machine replaced, not have a major component repaired. We told the manufacturer this and their response was, we purchased the machine over 7 days ago (we purchased it early in May but the delivery date was not until May 29th) AND the serial number is showing the machine to be over 2 years old and so they would not replace it. As Tasco sold us and delivered a product with a major defect, we believe it is Tasco's responsibility to replace the unit with a new one and then they can deal with Kitchenaid (Maytag) regarding the defective product. To this point, we have been given the runaround from both Maytag and Tasco who are playing a game of pass the buck. Neither accepting responsibility even though our Tasco sales agent has stated that he agrees with our position. The reason I have not given Tasco a lower rating is because of the sales agent, who appears to be truly trying to help us resolve the matter. But to date, we are still stuck with a brand new dishwasher that has never worked and has a broken motor. At least it looks nice.... I'm hoping in the next few days I'll have reason to return to this site and change my rating but at this point, I'm not holding my breath. UPDATE: As per Tasco's reply below, I'm happy to report that the matter has been resolved and our dishwasher will be replaced with a new unit. I'm still a little frustrated that it took over a week to get to this point but none the less, Tasco customer service did work with Maytag to have them replace the unit. We should hopefully receive the new unit soon.

    appliance purchases and repairs

    We originally bought our appliances in December of 2011 and we received them in 2012. We bought 6 pieces and I have to say that 4 out of the 6 we had to service, so I wasn’t pleased in the beginning because they weren’t small things, they were large things. Our fridge stopped working on New Year's Eve and we didn’t even realize it until a day and a half later. Aside from that we had a fan (a top of the line ventilation fan that goes over the range) that we paid top dollar for and we had to have it serviced 4 times. It was a nightmare! However the person we were in contact with at Tasco, Flora, assistant to one of the VPs at Tasco (I think his name was Tony), it was on her insistence that she reimburse us for the food we lost in the fridge (close to 800 dollars because we were hosting a New Years party) because everything thawed out. She was kind enough to offer that reimbursement right off the bat whereas the maker of the fridge gave me an awful time. So I was very grateful and appreciative of what she did. I will forever be a Tasco customer because of what the executives did at the executive level (especially Flora). It’s not Tasco’s fault. It’s not all the same products (they were all different brands) so I realize that Tasco is just a distributor.

    kitchen appliances (second visit in a few years)

    Last year we purchased a washer/dryer and everything to outfit our kitchen (dishwasher, fridge, combination gas electric stove, and microwave) for our cottage in Muskoka. Years ago we had also used Tasco when we bought appliances for our house in Toronto. They have a really good selection, so you can go in and find what you need. Our experience is that the salespeople have a lot of expertise, so they can steer you in the right direction. I have to admit that some of the salespeople drive a hard sell, but the woman we dealt with this time seemed more relaxed, though she really knew her stuff. My husband went in that day and stated that we were just looking and would absolutely not be buying anything (he's an analyst who likes to think things through). However, he was so impressed by the saleswoman that we made our purchases then and there. When the delivery people came to the cottage in Muskoka, it was very awkward to get the appliances in because it was still under construction, but they were polite, unflappable and efficient.

    Dishwasher /Fridge/ Washer dryer

    Having been using Tasco for my appliance needs for many years. They provide excellent service.

    New appliances

    We had put down a deposit about a year ago for a suite of new appliances for a planned renovation. It was positioned as a "builders" package meaning we could make any manner of changes we wanted. As it turned out, our renovation had to be put on hold. Tasco refused to give us our deposit back (they had not ordered any of the appliances). After an enormous amount of grief they finally agreed to let us put it toward a wine fridge (which was overpriced - $200 more than the posted price on another website). Horrible experience overall, we will never buy there again.

    New Washer/Dryer Set

    Washer broke down and with a busy house, two working parents and laundry collecting quickly did not have time to go in person to the store. Sales person as Tasco was very professional and provided a lot of guidance and advice to help direct me to right product and then got me the right price!

    purchase and installation of cooktop, purchase of washer and dryer

    This is our second purchase with Tasco because we were very pleased with our cooktop purchase previously. They couldn't install the washer and dryer because we were completing renovations on the laundry room at the time. In regards to the cooktop, it came with a special offer of a non stick frying pan. The special offer had actually expired but they happily still gave it to us. The other company that we were debating using at the time didn't give us any such offer so we went with Tasco. They always went above and beyond what was asked of them. We also were very impressed with the extended warranty offer, wherein you could either use the warranty or be given a large credit to the store. The only problem I had was in the location of the store. I found that in coming from the south the right turn on the light is very tight and difficult to manoeuvre. Otherwise I would give them a perfect rating.
