    Moving

The guys were very pleasant and worked hard. I don't think that they put a scratch on any of the furniture. My only complaint was that some boxes were not labelled and some were mislabelled. I would definitely use them again.

    apartment move

I just moved on Friday May 24, 2013. I was happy to have hired Tender Touch Moving as I had heard so many wonderful things through friends and online reviews. Although I was only moving a 1 bedroom apartment not too far away, it was still a stressful event for me as this was my first time hiring a professional moving company. The crew arrived 15 minutes before their scheduled time and started to lay floor runners and wrap my furniture. They got right to work and I was surprised to see that they were in complete uniform. They were on time, very polite and careful. I felt right at ease and my stress was gone. They made sure to do a walk through with me once they were loaded to ensure nothing was left behind. I was so very impressed and relieved to know that I was in excellent hands with them. Upon delivery at the house, the crew offered the same protection to the hardwood floors, banister and railings. I was more than happy with the crew, the staff at the office, the cost and quality of the overall service that I received from Tender Touch Moving.

    home move

I recently used the services of Tender Touch Moving for my home move. I searched at least a dozen moving companies before choosing Tender Touch. Reviews from Homestars was very helpful. My first contact was with Maria who was very helpful in planning out what I needed and helping to keep costs down. She recommended that I get a second truck because of the amount of items I had to move.I really thought I would only need one truck, I was totally wrong. Thanks Maria for that. A phone call or e-mail from Maria on any changes to our move was nice. On moving day the crew came in and started to cover my stairs, railings and wrap all of my glass items up. We have to give a big thanks to our movers Phil, Pedro, Nick, and Vess. These guys were amazing movers. Very careful, yet fast. There was no stress to deal with during the move. We worked these guys hard over 12 hours total. My wife keep on giving them water and feeding them to keep them going. I could not believe how hard these guys worked. Phil packed up all my glass so nothing would break. Pedro did an excellent job loading everything tight into the truck.Nick had the energy of three people and didn't stop.Overall the move went perfect. I've moved six times over the past thirty years and if you want a competitive, professional move really consider Tender Touch.

    Moving

This company presented very professionally over the internet. This move included a number of very expensive pieces of art and glass art. When i questioned the method used for moving these products the supervisor for the moving consultant suggested that all items should be crated. No insurance was offered .In discussions with local galleries both felt that bubble wrap combined with individual boxing would be sufficient for this short distance ( 2 block ) move. I requested this and Tender Touch agreed to use bubble wrap and made a clear note on the bill of lading that the packing and shipping crews should use caution and use bubble wrap as requested by the customer. Sometime during the packing the packers from tender Touch ran out of bubble wrap but the crews continued to pack using bunched up paper . It wasn't until they we started with the pictures that they disclosed that they were out of bubble wrap.On moving day the lead shipper was in a rush to have me sign the form to get the move started and advised me that I had up to $15000 of insurance so my delicate pieces would be covered. leaving aside the fact that they missed a number of items in the showers and cupboards the move was finished at 3X the quoted price. I had expected that the move would cost more due to the many small items and careful packing necessary in this small 2 br condo. Nonetheless it was expected to be higher than the estimate using Tender Touch's online formula which is now suspect to me. During the unpacking in our new residence one of the packers called me over to look at 2 Susan Rankin vases recently acquired for $2000 ea that were broken in a variety of places. The packers apologized and showed me how they were not wrapped in bubble wrap as I had requested and secondly that the paper was far to tight and lastly that the two vases were packed in one box rather than individually as the others had been . I requested that they take the vases and establish a claim for these items with their insurer. I waited until after lunch the following day before I was advised by email from one of the owners Maria Botelho ( after calling them ) that I had neglected to buy the correct insurance and the vases were not covered. Maria told me that it was my fault for not crating the objects the $4000 vases.. I later discovered a damaged corner to a palazetti laquered chest of drawers and a small Ipod nano was missing . After a lot of pressure ,Maria made a variety of offers to deal with this but it was a very small amount in relation to the replacement cost This company did not do what they said they would do , did not follow my directions for packing and in typical fashion took longer, broke things , and hid from any responsibility for the broken vases. This could have been solved with the right materials and a little effort by Tender Touch to do what they were asked to do. I have decided to seek relief from the courts to recover the monies paid to replace to the Rankin vases. I will also be taking this matter to consumer affairs to insure people get clear and accurate info on moving day and to force movers to be responsible for poor work .

    Moving

I booked my move with a moving consultant who was very thorough and friendly. She explained the details of the moving cost and insurance which made me feel comfortable with using their services. The moving crew arrived on time on Saturday morning in uniform. As the driver was signing me up the others starting laying down floor coverings and wrapping my banisters (as I lived in a house top floor) Then they all proceed to protect my furniture in pads, they were quick but safe. I was very happy with the overall team, moving consultant. Hope I don't have to move again for a while but if I had to again Tender Touch would be my first choice. Highly recommend!!!!

    Moving and Storage

Tender Touch Moving and Storage moved the contents from my home into their long term storage facility in October 2011. I paid approx. $4000 for the move into storage and approx $600/month for storage. I moved into my new home in February 2013. This part of the move cost approx $3000. I had become a $17000 customer. There were five men moving furniture and boxes into the house, the garage and the backyard that day. As they took items off the truck, they would yell out the corresponding number which my daughter would check off the storage list and I would direct them where to put everything. With five men going in five directions with five different numbers, it was a hectic day. I had one large armoire that was to go to the rec room in the basement. They brought it in and decided it would not go downstairs so they recommended that they leave it packed up and in my garage. I signed the papers and paid the moving fee. Big mistake. After they left and over the next couple of days, I began moving things around and began to notice damaged furniture legs on several pieces of furniture. One outdoor table had been taped back together by Tender Touch. I also noticed that my new front door had been damaged as well. I had another moving company here the following week to deliver some new furniture and at that time, I asked them to measure the armoire to see if, in fact, in would go downstairs. They assured me that it would so we unpacked the armoire and it was completely ruined. The door and hinges had fallen off and the side had caved in. This piece of furniture was worth $12,000. I contacted Tender Touch and they told me that since I had signed the contract, they were not liable and could not help me. I persevered and then I was asked not to threaten them with any possible online reviews. They finally agreed to have their repairman take a look at the armoire and he said he could fix it for approx $2000. I also had two other repair quotes for $4000-$5000. Tender Touch was not willing to pay for this repair and offered me $500 as a good will gesture. I would need to sign a release and agree not to publish any negative publicity on any media. I chose not to sign the release or take their $500 so that I might alert the public to the fact that Tender Touch Moving and Storage is not a company I would recommend to anyone. The piece in question was not packed properly in the first place and this is why it was damaged. The fact remains, Tender Touch is responsible for the damage to the armoire and would not take responsibility for it or for any of the other damages. My advice to anyone moving is this: when items are coming off the truck, NO MATTER HOW RUSHED AND BUSY EVERYONE FEELS, stop and check every corner, every leg and NEVER let them leave without unpacking every piece of furniture. Even is this prolongs your moving day by a couple of hours. I cannot begin to describe my resentment and anger towards Tender Touch Moving and Storage. I put my trust in them and now I'm out $12000+ A very expensive lesson.

    Second move in 6 months

Second move with Tender Touch in 6 months and we are just as happy the second time as the first. Awesome job - friendly, professional and stress free, from Maria in the office to our crew: Phil, Pedro and Chris. Thank you for making a rainy, stressful day so much more relaxed. The care of our antiques and 100+ year old piano was most appreciated. We highly recommend your company without hesitation. Special thanks to Maria!

    Moving

I have never had such a quick and pleasant moving experience. They arrived on time? CHECK. They actually (get ready) arrived an hour early?! Who has movers that arrive early? They got stuff done quickly? CHECK. They were in and out before I knew it. They got to the new house in their truck faster than I did in my car. They were careful? CHECK. Nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged, at all. They were fairly priced? CHECK. We made it under the two hour minimum, and tipped well, and it was still $100 under their estimate. All in all these guys are the best movers I have ever used, or even heard of. After reading countless reviews on Yelp, I chose these guys out of necessity. My move date changed at the last minute, these guys were the only company that could fit me in on the new day. I had to use them, and was expecting them to arrive late (appt was 2-6pm, they were there at 12:45), be tired, take a long time, etc. NOTHING could have been further from the truth. Best.Movers.I've.Ever.Had.

    Moved from Brampton to Toronto

Overall, we were really happy with our move from the burbs back into Toronto. The crew was friendly and communicated well with us. There was some damage to some furniture... but, they were honest about what happened and most of it was Ikea furniture and not real word, so not really their fault it got chipped or damaged. They did damage our floor while moving our piano in, but to be fair, the piano is EXTREMELY heavy (has steel insides, so it holds a tuning great, but is awful to move). They were a good company to deal with and had very reasonable rates. I do recommend them to friends and will most likely use them again... if I ever move... which I do not plan on doing, so they may be out of luck. ;)

Long distance move from Mississauga to Calgary

Maria and the team (Trevor, Big Mike and Pedro) were fantastic with my move. My move was from Mississauga to Calgary and it took place in mid Dec 2012. When I was looking to hire movers, I narrowed my choices down to Bronte movers and Great Canadian Van Lines (Tender Touch as an agent). I was in a rush to arrange the move date and I decided to go with Bronte as they were the first to contact me. Lo and behold, somehow, Tender Touch became the one doing my move. Both companies are agents of Great Canadian Van Lines, and I think that Tender Touch already had a truck going Westward so there was room for my shipment. Well, the entire experience was incredible end to end. I want to make it clear that this is all because of courtesy and professionalism by Maria and the team. (I had very little contact from Bronte). Before the move, Maria phoned me to explain the process and just to ensure everything before the move was ok. On the date of the move, the crew arrived at 9 am sharp and they worked hard to get the move complete. My stuff arrived in Calgary the following week and the driver was great too. In terms of the price, it was a bit less than the estimate and I was very happy overall. I would definitely use tender Touch again and would recommend them. I should also say that Homestar.com was a great help in choosing a mover that is reliable and trustworthy. Steven Y.
