This is the third time I use The Floor Shop to install hardwood floor in about fifteen years and I have been perfectly satisfied each and every time. This time I had to install a wood floor in the dining room and entrance of an 1883 Victorian. So I turned to the Floor Shop again for their unmatched selection of floor styles. The Floor Shop provided suggestions, gave us advice on flooring types and price options, and allowed us to take several samples home. The estimate was done on site when I was available after work and was a good opportunity to get feedback from an experienced professional about the problems to face with the install. The three installers came on time on the agreed day and finished on the same day -- the place was left clean and without mess and there was only minimal dusting to do to restore the living area to its function. Wojtek and his team were especially excellent at installing the high baseboards and did a perfect job in spite of all the many corners and turns in the room (including a fireplace and the inside of a small closet), and the uneven levels.

Our experience with the Floor Shop was very positive from start to finish. We were looking for a one-stop shop to replace all our carpeting on our upstairs bedrooms, hallways, and staircase with hardwood. After reading up on The Floor Shop on HomeStars, we decided to set up an appointment. Our representative Debbie was knowledgeable, patient and definitive in terms of guiding our selection of woods and the job overall. The start and end date they promised, they delivered on (which is hard to come by these days). The cost of the job was significantly more expensive than two other comparative quotes I received from independent contractors (the reason I scored a 9 instead of 10)... but this turned out to be a no-hassle, as promised renovation, and we were very pleased with the service received and the end result of the job. We would go with the Floor Shop again, and would wholeheartedly recommend them others, if you are prepared to a premium for quality and peace of mind of an established bricks and mortar shop vs. independent contractor.

We had to replace the floors in our condo due to a water leak and were told about The Floor Shop from a friend. Allen, Andrew and the entire crew couldn't have been more helpful and professional from start to finish. Allen patiently helped us understand our options and the pros and cons of the materials we were considering. As the sales lead, he never pressured us, or made us feel any question or concern was too trivial to be addressed. Andrew coordinated the install with their long-time crew and the tear-out, disposal, materials delivery and installation went down in short order. The crew worked very clean and their craftsmanship on the many difficult angles of our floor was superior. They took care to not only do the work contracted, but to go the extra step in fit and finish. The difference in the quality from our previous floor is very noticeable. I would highly recommend The Floor Shop for your next flooring project. Their selection, prices and quality of service are all excellent! Thanks, Floor Shop!

The Floor Shop is amazing. The crew were a pleasure to have in our home. They worked efficiently and cleanly, and provided solutions for problem areas of our 100 year old house. We are thrilled with the job.

Company hired to repair/feather & install new oak - excellent job Also hired to sand existing and new floor, stain and finish Sanding job very poor - shows topography marks Debbie (Manager) explained it was cupping. I had 2 other flooring contractors independently inspect and they agreed the sanding job was very poor and it was not cupping. The stain job had some green marks on floor and black magic marker used. Finish coat -- obvious signs of streaking -- had to have contractor back to put on another coat No apology for the inconveniences I have since found another company to do my Stairs -- Sterca Stairs in Brampton -- they did an excellent job and also do hardwood refinishing. Never again will I deal with the Floor Shop.

We were re-doing the floors and were shopping around for hardwood. We went to alot of the "discount" places and found their product to be sub-par when compared to what Floor Shop carries. No, they are not the cheapest, but the produc is infinitely better and the service is unmatched.

The Floor Shop was recomenned by several friends who had used them. They sure know their products and can give good advice. They go out of their way to make the customer happy.

The entire team at the Floor Shop toronto location were easy to deal with from consultation to contract to installation. We received great service and the installation crew were fantastic. Minimal mess, ontime and everything cleaned up. Mercier click flooring looks fantastic.

Back in April 09, we had new Hand Scraped Maple Wheat hardwood flooring installed by the Floor Shop and staircase (sub-contracted to EuroPerfect by the Floor Shop) and we continue to LOVE the quality of both products. Knowledgeable in-store personnel combined with professional and considerate installation teams make this a 10/10 experience.
