We hired Otto and his crew to repair and re-point an interior brick wall and section of a chimney in our 105 year old home. Our wall was in pretty rough condition and needed 60+ bricks replaced. We also asked for all the old mortar to be removed and redone for aesthetic purposes. Otto's staff were experienced and professional. They arrived on time everyday and finished the work in a timely manner. In addition, Otto's crew finished the work within the price quoted and we are very happy with the final result!!

Ottos Masonry is a very professional company that operate with pride and integrity. Otto and his crew made right a botched up job by others, poured concrete that was beautifully formed. They put up bricks, they removed brick walls, they pointed our bricks, they water proofed the basement and so much more. They show up when they say they will, they do an exceptional job, are courteous, respectful, keep a tidy worksite and their price is fair and competitive. Otto knows how to communicate in that he shares information in a timely manner and if he is not able to show up, he lets you know ahead of time and the reason (the weather which has to be right to pour concrete), and has the skill and ability to read and follow architectural plans. We are thrilled by all the work that Otto did for us from the basement work, waterproofing, stair forming and pouring, brick pointing, demolition, laying bricks etc., but more than anything it was a pleasure to deal with Otto and his crew. It was such a pleasure dealing with Otto and his crew we will be utilizing their services again in the spring to pour our concrete walkway. Thank you Otto, Adreese and all the crew for a great job done with pride and honesty.

We used Otto to pour concrete on both sides of our house to ensure proper drainage. Otto and his crew were responsive, showed up on time and ensured the job was completed properly. I would recommend them if you are looking to do concrete work around your house.

Otto and his team did a great job rebuilding my leaning chimney. Otto chose bricks that blended well with the existing ones, which went a long way towards making things look right. The chimney was left exposed on the interior wall and it looks beautiful. They were also able to get my second fireplace working by rebuilding the flue. Otto’s team completed the work on schedule and as described. Their clean-up after the job was thorough. I would recommend Otto’s Masonry to anyone looking for quality work for a fair price.

extremely conscientious and attentive service. nothing rushed. no corners cut. very sensitive to my wishes and expectations and stone quality and stone colour. i had experience with 2 other stonemasons, one's work lasted 18 months! the other was colour blind. it has been more than 6 months and i am extremely satisfied and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

I called Otto's Masonry for a small but fairly urgent job. Otto came out in a timely manner and provided a fair quote. The work was scheduled as soon as weather permitted to handle the situation. Towards the end of the summer, we realized that we had some pretty serious issues with crumbling mortar between the bricks on our almost 100 year-old home. We requested estimates from a number of companies, but due to it being the end of the season, we didn’t get many responses. Otto’s team however, responded right away, sent someone to take a look at areas we indicated and provided us with a clear written, itemized estimate via email. Otto’s team saw a few additional areas that needed touching up, and added those to the estimate for us to consider. There was one area where there were a few options for how to address it; Otto provided cost estimates for both options, which helped us make a decision on how to proceed. With Otto’s busy schedule and the weather, we weren’t sure that we could get the work done this year. However, during a warm snap in early December, we reached out to Otto to see if even some of the work could be done before the snow hit. He responded right away and said they would fit us in. The work was done over two days, with the crew cleaning up meticulously after each day. We are very happy with the quality of work, as it looks great and addresses everything we wanted done (and more). Overall, we found Otto and his team to be great to work with. We are two busy professionals with a young child, and Otto made it easy for us to get the job estimated and the work done at what we felt was a reasonable cost and little effort on our part. Apart from running into the crew at the end of one day, we never actually met anyone in person! We were very happy with our experience and would definitely recommend Otto’s Masonry to others.

Otto's Masonry replaced a shared walkway, front walkway, stair case, and parging project fall 2014. The work was completed on schedule with no impact to house tenants. Aside from excellent quality work and great results, Otto Wilkens managed the relationship with my neighbour in a professional and courteous manner that prevented delays and encouraged confidence in the entire process. This quality is not found in most contractors, Otto is friendly, professional, approachable and patient. Otto's Masony prices are competitive with other masons, I would gladly recommend his company for any masonry work.
