    Home alarm and monitoring

    Pte-lock is the best company out there for alarms, their prices are very reasonable. The young man that installed our alarm was a pleasure to deal with. He installed it in a quick and efficient manner. He was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything. We are very happy with this company. We now feel safe in our home. I would recommend this company to all our Friends!!!!

    New locks. Upgraded Alarm system and installed high end camera system.

    we recently moved into a new house and ordered new locks and upgraded the alarm and installed a high end camera system . The techs were great and did a fantastic job . Very neat and professional . We would not hesitate in recommending Pre-lock and their team of professionals. There follow follow up and attention to detail is unbelievable our family not only feels safe we know we really are .

    Alarm Monitoring and Installation

    What sets Pre-Lock apart is their service. When I was away on a business trip, there was a problem with the system and my wife called Pre-Lock after-hours. A technical on-call showed up soon after and addressed the issue. It's not often when a situation like that happens, but if it does - it's re-assuring to know you don't have to wait a week to get an issue fixed. We recently decided to upgrade our aging alarm system. Pre-Lock went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They even went beyond what we have discussed and made the system much more secure. The installers were all very knowledgeable and professional. We love the control and the configurability the new system provides.

    The world needs more PreLock

    I have done countless projects with Prelock in my house from locks, alarms, window bars, security film, security cameras etc. I'm paranoid :) This company does it all, does it extremely well and with efficiency you simply won't find elsewhere. Call Prelock and sleep better, it's that simple.

    Alarm System

    I've used companies to do work around my home that I've found on Homestars, but this is the first time that I've actually wrote a review. A few months ago my house was broken into and we did not have a alarm system installed. At the request of my wife, I started to do some research into the different types of systems, and companies that install these systems and also provide monitoring services. I narrowed down my search to 4 companies, and 2 of those companies would not even send a person over to provide a quote as they wanted to do everything over the phone. Anyway when I called Pre-Lock, I spoke with Steven in the sales department who was able to answer all of my questions, and we scheduled a meeting for him to come and speak with my wife and myself. What really impressed me was that Steven took the time to come to our home on the weekend, whereas the other company only provided appointments during the week, and only during the day. Steven explained the different systems that Pre-Lock provides, and we decided to go with the Honeywell wireless system. On the day of the installation both Steven and the installer Walter showed up on time, and Walter was very professional and explained how the system worked. I would highly recommend Pre-Lock if you are in the market for an alarm system as my experience from start to finish was excellent. Also speak with Steven as he was extremely professional.

    Be Aware!

    I signed up with the Pre-Lock systems based on Home Stars review but I am extremely disappointed. Starting from the time the system was installed I kept getting false alarms but was reassured that there was nothing wrong with the system. But there was nothing wring in my house too!!!! But last month the police was dispatched to my home based again on the falls alarm. This time theu even did not call my prime contact number!!! There was mumbling message on my phone, no evidence that police was there and nothing from our side to initiate it. I called immediately to Pre-Lock but they denied any fault on their side kept saying that we pushed panic button while we did not. I talked with several representatives including Paul the manager who was pretty rude. The company denied any fault, they send a technician to my home to disable panic button on a key chain. Why it was not done at the installation time if it gives false alarm that easy? It was not explained at the time of installation. Now I have to pay the police bill of $280 and stacked with the contract with this company for 3 YERAS!!!! Future customers! Please be aware!!!!

    Good Afternoon Lana, I am sorry to hear of your experience with our LYNX 5200 security system that we installed in your home almost 1 year ago. Just for the record you have not had any false alarms that were caused by any system malefaction. The only issue on your account was a recent Silent Panic Alarm activation that was caused by you accidentally pushing the button on a Key Fob that you had in your purse. You spoke with our service department on October 19, 2016 at 4:43PM and admitted that this was an accidental activation and told our customer services person that you would write a very bad review if you received a invoice from York Regional Police. Unfortunately we do not get to keep the funds that are charged by York Regional Police. You were well aware that your account was on Police Response and that any false activation's however caused would result in a charge from York Regional Police at their prevailing rates. This was on the front of your contract and clearly brought to your attention at the time you signed the contract with your sales representative . We also have private guard response options however you did choose Police at the time you signed the Contract with us. You also accuse me (Paul) of being rude to you but I have never spoken with you with respect to this matter as of yet or any other matter. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you at any time. It is my understanding that you spoke with our receptionist on the day you got the invoice and inquired as to who is the owner so you could speak with him directly but you never contacted me regarding this matter. You also allege that the Police never even attended when clearly they did and York Regional Police can confirm their attendance. Our company did send an alarm tech as per your request on October 24 to turn off the panic buttons feature on 4 of your key fobs at no cost to you by the way. You were well aware that you had Panic buttons on your key fobs in fact you had 4 of them and wanted them when you got the system. We also explained at the time of installation that keeping them in your purse is a sure way to cause a false alarm. We suggested you velcro the Fobs in different areas of your home that could assist you in an emergency requiring Police. We take our customer service very seriously and regret you feel it necessary to post a negative review that clearly is not warranted and the facts are not accurate.     Changed several locks

    We moved into a new house at the beginning of August. I called and spoke to Tristan(sp?) and arranged for Pre-Lock to come first thing the next morning. Alex showed up bright and early, and changed several locks in the house (front door, garage door inside and outside entry, plus two sunroom doors). The sliding door leading to the sunroom wouldn't lock (just a latch type lock) and even though it wasn't the type of lock they deal with, Alex spent a fair amount of time trying to fix it, which we really appreciate. When one of the cut keys didn't work, I called Tristan and he sent Alex back to take a look. Alex tested out all the keys and cut us a new one. Both Tristan and Alex were a pleasure to deal with, and I would absolutely recommend Pre-Lock to anyone who requires locksmithing services.

    Deadbolts fixed

    I had a wonderful experience with this company! From the person I discussed with initially over the phone, to the employee who came to the door to do the work, they were all extremely professional and friendly, and efficient and experts in their work. The turnaround time was 30 min from the time I placed the call, until their arrival at my door. They provided suggestions in how to maintain the integrity of my locks moving forward. Very very pleased, I cannot recommend this company enough!

    Superior Service and Professional Attitude

    John showed up on schedule and began work right away. We needed two lock-sets done with multiple keys and he did everything inside an hour. We've recommended Pre-Lock to our condo management.

    Pre Lock is still amazing after all these years!

    Chose Pre Lock again for my townhouse, they have always been my go to company when it comes to installation of an alarm system, door locks, anything I have ever needed. The service was professional, job was perfectly clean, and it works fabulously and seamlessly. Don't go anywhere else when it comes to an alarm system for your home, you won't regret it! Thanks to the Pre Lock team :)
