Herb Lodde roofing made the entire replacement roof process go quickly, smoothly and efficiently. Starting with the quick response time from Ken in providing a quote, and in answering a few emails from us regarding some extras we wanted, to the arrival of the five man crew led by Mike the foreman, all professional and skilled roofers as demonstrated by their addressing some of the original roof deficiencies that had been causing us problems since the home was built ie. un-nailed sheathing, missing step flashing at dormers. They had to work around 2 existing solo-tube skylights, and a power solar roof vent, and a couple of antenna wire anchors to ensure a weather-tight seal. The approximately 3200 sq roof was completed in 2 days. The 10 year labor warranty gives us peace of mind in addition to them using only the best quality materials, GAF timberline hd 50yr architectural shingles, deck armor barrier over the entire roof deck (instead of the cheaper felt paper that some companies use), ice and water shield at all eaves (we requested and upgraded to 6' instead of the standard 3' due to the previous roof concerns), started strips, and exclusive ridge cap shingles, and Durovent Weather-pro 50 roof vents to address the previous cheaper vents that allowed snow to come in to the attic, and they use 6 nails per shingle to minimize the risk of shingles being blown off before they have a chance to seal. All this backed up by the manufactures system plus warranty. The crew did a great job of cleaning up the lawn from nails and debris, shielded the landscaping to minimize risk of damage etc. All this was accomplished in rather hot humid August weather. Can't help but mention the quote price was extremely competitive and it pays to go with a company that we have no doubt will be celebrating another 50 year anniversary in 50 years.
It doesn't hurt to treat the crew maybe some coffee, donuts or even a pizza/subs or even just a simple thank you to show how much you appreciate the hard work they do to make our home more comfortable, Herb Lodde also follows up with a post installation site inspection to ensure any concerns are addressed.
