This review is regarding the service provided, not the windows themselves as I have not had enough time to test the windows out. I purchased the windows on April 19 2022. I gave Verdun one star because they did help me in May 2022 when we had a huge storm and a chair went through one of the windows to be replaced. They were able to replace that window in June of 2022. The remaining windows were to be replaced in January 2023 or so we thought one window was missing. They scheduled the final window on March 29 2023 only to cancel 20 minutes prior to installation timing. My house is currently on the market. Cancelling at the last minute was unacceptable. They managed to find an installer for the following day however, they had no trim to complete the windowso now I have cut up drywall exposed and my house is on the market! The salesperson wants me to pay the balance owing but the job is not yet done. Keep in mind this is a $30 000.00 job, and $25 000.00 is paidI am holding $5 000.00. I refuse to pay until the job is donethe sales person threatens to put a lean on my house!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? They did come back and finish the job, and I did end up paying them in full I have another location in need of windows and doors was going to have Verdun quote me on that job NOT ANYMORE!!! Note the installers were polite and good (other than putting there tools, wet rags and caulking on my bed!!!)Answer from pro:

Windows and door installation. The entire service chain is problematic. The sales person, Amanda, was more interested in making a sale than being honest with us. We told her what we were looking for and she cheerfully put it all in the contract. Since shes worked at Verdun for some time I figured she would know their products and the services they didnt provide. A circular window in our second floor needed to be updated to match our new windows. She said there was no issue with replacing the circular capping and/or painting the capping matte black. Apparently here was an issue because the trade that came out to check measurements said they couldnt update the window or paint the capping because they dont paint. Our contract also included replacing the existing framing around two main floor windows. And to replace it with vinyl. Again, they dont carry vinyl. The tradesmen that came to install the windows didnt know anything about the work that was required. Workers came out 4 times weeks apart and had no idea what they were supposed to be doing. They looked at me to tell them how to do it and to explain what materials they needed.!?!?! Months went by between bookings for them to complete the work. And when it was finished they had neglected to caulk around the windows so that water was coming I. When it rained. If you want your project to go smoothly, without glaring errors or misinformation, then go elsewhere. We should have listened to our friends and done so.Answer from pro:

Sales people were happy and knowledgeable, and despite a long wait to get the windows I ordered (4 months), installation went smoothly, cleanly and quickly. There is an outstanding framing on the outside of one window still to be completed due to a problem I created, but the installer said he will return on his own time to complete once I fix the issue in the spring. We called Verdun Windows because we saw their commercials on tv. They were courteous and prompt in coming to evaluate our home for new windows and doors. The salesperson was polite and explained to us what kind of windows and doors would be best for us. When we called the office for questions, they were very informative, polite and courteous.
