    Major home reno - kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, stairs, fireplace and more

    Its now six months after project completion and we are still extremely happy with the (almost) whole home renovation the team at Artiste Renovations did for us. Artiste did a great job with our kitchen reno in 2016, so when we decided to buy and extensively renovate a larger house it was a simple decision to call Barry again for our 2023 reno. Everything that impressed us the first time impressed us even more this time. Things we were particularly happy with include communication (Barry was extremely quick to respond to phone, email or text and kept us fully in the loop on all activities), attention to detail (by everyone involved, but especially Hans and Rene), continuity (in addition to Hans and Rene, we saw many of the same tradespeople this time as we did 7 years ago), organization (everything was kept on track and moving forward - even with a multi-month reno in an empty house there were only a couple of days where nothing was happening), design ideas (we didnt use a designer, but instead used our ideas and Barrys extensive experience to come up with the final product) and flexibility (we changed our mind/expanded our scope a lot as we progressed through the project and Barry was always happy to provide feedback and adjust to our needs including incorporating items we found at places beyond his usual list of excellent suppliers). We continue to get rave reviews from our friends - and even service people weve had in for non-reno items are impressed with the end product. An amazing transformation. Hopefully we are done with renovations for a while, but if we ever need some work done again (basement?), you can be sure Artiste Renovations will be our choice for contractor.

    Kitchen, Bathroom, Flooring

    Barry and his team are excellent. We were really happy with the results of previous work done by Artiste Renovations, and contracted them to update our kitchen and bathroom, and replace the flooring on the main level. Barry is transparent with costs and the scope of work that needs to be done, and is great at outlining different options for the homeowner. We were really happy to be kept updated about the progress of the work and the timelines we were looking at, even when things didn't go exactly according to plan. I am always so impressed with Hans and his ability to problem solve around the quirks and unexpected surprises of our older home! He and Rene are quiet, patient, friendly, and professional, and they always do a thorough job of tidying up after their work is finished. We're really pleased with the end result and highly recommend Artiste Renovations!

    Main floor renovations galore

    We had Barry and Rene do main floor renovations before and really liked what they did so we contracted them again in our new home. Barry is very organized and very good at staying on top of things to ensure the renovations go as smoothly as possible. He gave us great ideas on how to update our tired looking 30 year old home. It is now bright, clean and somewhat stylish inside. Weve received many compliments. Rene is the Jack of all trades that did the main work of gutting three bathrooms on the main floor and turning them into meticulously done bathrooms - including a main floor powder/laundry room. Rene is very easy to have around your home for months as he goes about getting the work done. One bit of advice is to ask Barry for a list of all items that you, as the homeowner, need to pick out so you can do it before the last minute. We got caught in this a few times. We would recommend Artiste Renovations, you wont be disappointed!

    Bathroom and Basement Renovation

    Barry and his team Rene and Hans turned our bathroom and basement from a bit of a nightmare into something that we are no longer embarrassed about! They took a partial renovation that had ran out of time and energy a few years ago and transformed it into a showpiece. Everything was completed as promised and they were very willing to fix up a few 'extras' that were discovered along the way. Very professional and friendly and we would recommend them without hesitation! Great job!

    Bathroom Renovations

    After Barry and his team completely rebuilt our kitchen we looked into having both main floor bathrooms upgraded (from scratch). Each step in the process was thoughtful and meticulous. Rene is an excellent craftsman and systematically overcame any obstacle to ensure a beautifully finished product. Thank you!

    Complete Condominium Renovation

    Barry was recommended to me by my daughter and son-in-law who were very happy with the excellent renovations he did to their home. I purchased an apartment condo that I completely renovated before moving in. Barry managed all the tradespeople and kept me updated on the progress, mainly by email and phone as I was often not present while the work was being done. Barry was easy to communicate with, accommodating to my ideas and vision, and always responsive when I had questions or needed advice. His subtrades were all very professional and performed quality work. A special thank you to Hans and Rene who did the majority of the work. Barry and his team were also great at cleaning after themselves, which is especially important in a condo building. The renos were started on time and completed ahead of schedule. Rene even came back after the renovations were completed to put in my appliances and to fix the hinges and do touch-up painting on my front door, which was damaged by the delivery people. I am thrilled with how my newly renovated condo looks now! I would not hesitate to hire Barry and his team again and highly recommend them for your renovations.

    Main floor renovation

    We removed two walls, raised our sunken living room floor, reached railing and Bannister's, removed popcorn ceiling and replaced kitchen and floors. Barry and Hans were on site every day. They were friendly, clean, and professional. All of the tradespeople were skilled and punctual. The quote was almost exactly the final cost; we chose to add a few items to our original quote but those were the only extra costs. Our renovation was completed before the projected end date. We couldn't be happier. Our new modern and open main floor is even better than we had hoped and we know it was done well. Thank you Barry and team.

    Bathroom Renovations

    We are so pleased with our 2 bathroom renovations. Barry, Rene and team were exceptional in their attention to detail and communicating with us. They did an outstanding job and we would not hesitate to use them again.

    Kitchen Renovation

    Artiste Renovations & Contracting completed our kitchen renovation project with stunning results. Barry's team from Artiste installed new flooring, backsplash and lighting, built cabinets and assisted us with refinishing our existing cabinetry. A special shout out to Rene for the excellent tile work that he did for our kitchen flooring, backsplash and feature tile above the stove. A kitchen renovation is very disruptive and Barry's team were successful in keeping our major appliances up and running while the work proceeded - so we had some semblance of normal kitchen use. In addition, his team are tidy and clean up after each work day. Barry coordinated all of the trades required to complete the job - including drywall repair, replacement of ceiling stipple, a difficult electrical fish, cutting of granite countertops, electrical and lighting work. This is the third time that we have used Artiste Renovations - we couldn't be happier with our new kitchen. We highly recommend Artiste Renovations.

    Very good at understanding needs and vision. Personable contractors, include you in decisions and options. Always filled commitments including delivery schedule and attendance on site. Each of the contractors seem personally invested in quality.
