    radiators, gas, plumbing

    I hired Mark because he had good reviews on homestars, and because he had a competitive price, boy was that a mistake!! The job was to take 3 days, and we had agreed that it will be 3 consecutive days. job went as follows: Saturday - came in for a few hours, did some gas work, disconnected the radiators, left without turning the heat back on Sunday - showed up in the afternoon after several reminders, did a little work on the gas and radiators did not turn heat back on Monday - Tuesday - no show Wednesday - showed up with plumber (who kept on talking about extras) did partial shower rough in, received 60% payment (stupid me) Thursday, Friday , Saturday - no show Sunday - promised to show up and complete gas - did not show up Monday Showed up at 8PM after several phone calls, plumber tried to convince me to let him cut corners otherwise he will charge me extra, I asked them to leave, I am now forced to bring in another plumber to complete the work, and another gas tech to inspect and see if all the work had been done properly. would not recommend this guy to my worst enemy!! Update : another plumber came in and had to redo most of the work that had been done by Mark, don't be fooled by the low rates, they come as a package deal with cut corners and poor workmanship

    i hope i can clarify some misunderstanding. 1. The job is only three days job, provided A.The job site is ready for doing the job, B.No body was living in the house, and you would only come after 6 PM, which i tried to do as much as i could, SINCE NO BODY IS LIVING in the house i can not do gas and water piping after 6 pm due to safety reasons.because everything has to be pressure tested for few hours before leaving the job site 2.you came at 6 pm after your work and expect us to show as well while i am on other job sites. anyway i came as soon as i could.3. if my plumber had asked to pay extra for extra jobs, you could have asked me about it, NOT TO ASK US TO LEAVE YOUR HOUSE RIGHT AWAY. 2. we are member of ESA, HRAI, TSSA, TRades,,,,). this ensures we do the highest standard, as it is one of my company requirement as well as other prestigious safety standards. MORE IMPORTANTLY WE HAVE BEEN WITH HOMESTARS CLOSE TO TEN YEARS, AND THIS SHOWS THE OBLIGATION WE FEEL TOWARDS OUR CUSTOMERS

    Red Tag Resolution, Chandelier Installation, Electrical Junk

    I was issued a red tag by Enbridge for having the gas pipe on the side of the house covered in dirt. I also had a chandelier that needed to be installed, plus a couple of minor jobs (removal of a radiator installed high up in the garage rafters and left by previous homeowner, electrical buzzing from one of my light switches). Mark and Marius came by last Friday and gave me a quotation, which I thought was very reasonable. When I agreed to the price, they said they'd be back on Monday. So Mark and Marius came back the following Monday before lunch and started working. Here's a rundown of the jobs that did onsite: - They dug the gas pipe out of the dirt and installed it higher up on the side of the house so the issue would not happen again. - They installed the chandelier in our dining room. Apparently, the chandelier I bought wasn't the easiest when it came to installation. - They checked the light switch that was buzzing. It turned out I needed to change the bulb to one that is compatible with the light switch. - They brought down a radiator that was installed on the garage rafters by the previous homeowner (for what purpose, I have no idea). The electrical wiring that they cut from the radiator was live so they turn it into an extra electrical socket in the garage. They also helped me take the radiator to the curb infront of the house, which where it was promptly picked up by a lucky passerby early next morning. By the time they finished, it was almost 10PM. They did not leave until all the jobs they came to do were done. They stuck to our originally agreed-upon price and they never grumbled or complained. The House Depot is now my go-to place for my electrical and gas-related services and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends. Mark and Marius, thank you again for your help!

    Electrical problems

    They were quick to respond and i was able to get an appt next day. Most people didn't even return my call or wanted 3 weeks to come by. They solved my problems and charged me a fair price for the hours it took to resolve the problems. Thorough and good price.

    Furnace Repair

    We have used Mark several times in the last year. Most recently to repair our furnace on one of the coldest nights of the winter. He is prompt, cares for his customers, and can be trusted. We highly recommend Mark and will continue to use his services in the future.

    electrical

    Mark is great! Polite, courteous, educated and efficient. I had a problem with an appliance and we did not know whether it was the plug or the socket in the wall. Mark's charges were reasonable and he was able to get to the root of the problem and fix it in no time. I went through some of the other listings and they were problematic in understanding the issue. with my location being downtown they were also no shows which delayed my repairs. Mark resolved the issue in minutes. Even went to the hardware store to get the appropriate equipment he needed to get the work done. I'm very grateful for his assistance in resolving the matter. Thank you again Mark. To anyone reading this review : Hire him immediately! You won't regret it!!!

    Heater fix and thermostat replacement

    on a chilly winter day my heater gave out. I called Mark and within 2 hours he was at my house. He patiently provided answers to all my questions, fixed my heater and installed a new thermostat in no time. Mark is a life saver and I would highly recommend him!

    Hot Water Rad System Pump Replacement

    During a long and protracted deep freeze in Toronto (with temperatures dropping below -30degrees C routinely), our hot water radiation system's pump started to conk out. We contacted Mark, and within a day he was able to come by, diagnose the problematic pump. His top level professionalism was immediately apparent, as both an electrician and plumber. He sourced the replacement pump (finding as best a deal as possible too!), and installed it within a day. He was easily reachable by telephone, was easily approachable, and was also an all around sweet person. We will be planning a renovation of our house, and will DEFINITELY be using him for all of our needs as well. If you're reading this and wondering if you should hire him, stop...just pick up the phone and call him right now!

    Furnace no heat

    I got professional service from House Depot with immediate action saving me from the severe cold weather. He is honest and did the job quick. Even he explained to me the cause and how to maintain a healthy furnace. Fantastic! Definitely, I will recommend this contractor again.

    HVAC fix, programmable thermostat instaled

    After officially breaking my thermostat, with no heat on an especially cold day, I called Mark, he was at my house within 2 hours, fixed a heating issue, installed a programmable thermostat, and answered my constant barrage of questions. He is my new go-to for home issues and I would highly recommend him to others.

    furnace repair

    during severe snowstorm, HOUSEDEPOT came and fixed the problem within 1.5 hours: high professionalism and expertise! I would definitely recommend this company if you want a swift response and satisfactory result!
