    Brand new Samsung washer/dryer set

    We ordered a Samsung Washer Dryer from CAS (Canadian Appliance Source) which was delivered June 6, 2017. The delivery staff dumped it in the front hall and left as quickly as they could, they even asked my husband to go downstairs with them to get the stacking kit we had ordered because they had forgotten it in their truck. They did not remove any of the remaining packaging on either of the appliances this includes all of the packing tape and the clear plastic wrap around doors, displays, etc. When my husband got back upstairs and removed the tape (the white packing tape on the white dryer) the front control console came loose on the right side by about a half an inch. I immediately called CAS (within 7-10 minutes of their delivery company leaving my home) and was told that I had to contact Samsung to have repairs made. I explained repeatedly that this was not a malfunctioning unit, it was damaged. The "customer service rep" insisted I call Samsung as they could tell me over the phone how to go about repairing it myself. I spoke to Samsung who were unable to provide help on the phone but would send a service rep to look at the unit. I called CAS back to again try to get the dryer exchanged and spoke to a second rep who advised that I would have to fill out their exchange form to have a new dryer sent out. I happily filled out the form and attached the requested photos believing that the issue was going to be resolved. I immediately got a reply to my email stating that I would receive a response from the returns department within 2 business days, this was Friday afternoon. Tuesday afternoon I had still not received a response so my husband contacted CAS "customer service" and was told that they never received any email from me. I forwarded all of the info, form, and photo to the rep. Tuesday evening I was told by the rep that we contacted that the returns department has told her because we had accepted the dryer upon delivery they would not be exchanging the unit, had I not received anything from them? I explained to her that the problem I had with that is the the dryer is not defective or malfunctioning it is DAMAGED. If their policy is that the item cannot be exchanged/returned once it has been delivered perhaps their delivery staff, or the company they contract out to should be removing ALL packaging before requesting you accept the delivery and running out the door. I waited another day and had still not heard anything from "RA" the returns department so I again emailed the rep I had been going back and forth with to get direct contact info for the "RA" She responded with the original email address that I had sent all the info to that they A: said they did not receive and B: have to this moment not responded to. I asked for a direct phone number for a supervisor so a could expedite a resolution but she responded that I should call general number in the morning, they can transfer your call ending her email with "Unfortunately, I wont be able to assist/help you in changing their decision. Regards" Thursday morning the Samsung tech arrived and was able to make repairs to the dryer and luckily the remaining damage is at the rear of the machine so I guess I will have to live with it. He fixed it by hammering out the dent in the back right corner of the top cover so it would fit properly to the control panel. Speaking with him he was shocked that whoever sold it to me would not take it back, clearly someone damaged it as the top panel had been shifted so far back. I have never had an experience like this but I will truly know better for next time. I am simply too tired to continue to fight a loosing battle with them after reading the reviews, which I clearly should have done before committing to this purchase. Sadly, I am going have to accept that I have paid full price for a scratch and dent dryer.

    EXCELLENT SERVICE

    I went to the Stoney Creek location of CAS and with the assistance of the manager Charles purchased a new washer/dryer. Charles is very personable, easy to work with and knowledgable about the products he sells. He also helped me get a great deal on my purchases and I would highly recommend checking out CAS and asking for him if you need any new appliances. Great job Charles!!

    Refrigerator

    Provided specs for what we were looking for. Provided options very quickly. However, had to double check them as most actually didn't meet all our specs. Went back with a couple of more options. After this, though, the process was very friendly, responsive and quick. Just make sure to double check specs if ordering online or over phone. Otherwise, fast and best prices we found.

    Appliance renewal time

    My salesman Mathieu Laquerre was both knowledgeable and affable. A very easy person to deal with, sensitive to my needs as I prepared to part with, for me, a good chunk of change. Also, the best prices in town for each of the three appliances I purchased. Mathieu was also very effective in post-sale follow-up, arranging for the installation of my dishwasher and the delivery of all three pieces. I would not hesitate to recommend this store and Mathieu to anyone thinking of making a purchase.

    Great customer service from Ravi, who didn't give up until he found a product that fit my requirements. Ravi also helped with additional services including delivery and installation, removal of my old dishwasher and warranty

    Appliances

    I just wanted to send a quick email to commend Gladwyn for his exceptional customer service.  He was very knowledgeable about the appliances and consistently answered our questions and was very informative. This was impressive because we visited other stores and we rarely found the salesperson knew the product that well. Gladwyn's knowledge and professional style helped us make the right choice when we were choosing appliances without feeling rushed or pressured.  We visited the store on many occasions and Gladwyn consistently treated us with utmost professionalism. On some occasions, we emailed him and he is consistently prompt in his replies and helped us over email promptly and efficiently.  This kind and level of customer service is what will make us shop at Canadian Appliance again and make it our top choice for appliance store.

    Kitchen Reno... no appliances

    I had done a ton of research on my appliances and I actually emailed for a quote on my order. I got a prompt reply with a great dishwasher reco. I shopped around but CAS pricing worked in my budget. Now to actually place my order... I placed my order via phone after working through financing options. You see the financing options that I thought I had, were not available when I had to place my order... getting a bad feeling, I asked to review mh order in writing, and sure enough it was wrong. To correct it, my quote went up. Silly me, still placed my order. Completing my financing was another adventure. I live an hour away from the store they wanted me to go to. As soon as I walk into my closest location, I understood why - super commission focused sales people. After a lot of huffing and puffing the Mississauga manager put my application through. I sat there while he grumbled about his store not getting the sale. Sure I get the reward but let's think about the customer experience first and grow the heck up. Today both my stove and fridge are on backorder. They have no idea when it will be back in stock and my fridge can't be delivered on my requested date because it can only be delivered on a Thursday. Why they didn't tell me this when I requested my delivery date is beyond me. And why they are able to order items that are not available in the first place is backwards to me. I mean it's a fridge/stove, not a bagel. You either have it or you don't. Who knows when these appliances will actually arrive but I would pay extra for more piece of mind else where.     Awful return policy and customer service

    We bought in the store fridge and dishwasher. When the fridge was delivered, it turned out that it didn't fit the place in kitchen. Delivery crew insisted that we should sign for delivery and later to request from store for exchange it to smaller model. The same day I filled and sent the return authorization form with indication that we want not just return it, but exchange. During this process I found not pleasant statement on their website, that any return or cancellation is charged with 25% restocking fee, which was already unpleasant surprise. But actual deal was even worse. I received in 2 days refusal from employee Katelyn (without last name and title!), stated that the return was not authorized, as I knew specifications and accepted the delivery. All my trials to explain, that I was misinformed by their delivery crew about the process (by the way, I mentioned even, that I had two witnesses of our conversation with the crew), and I didn't try even to avoid the draconian 25% "restocking" fee, and that I want to buy instead another item did not help. Katelyn without last name was relentless and refused to authorize the return and exchange. As a result we left with not fit fridge, that we should sell now through Kijiji. I definitely will not leave it as is, but just wanted to warn potential buyers from dealing with the store. You can buy and pray that everything is OK, but in case something not - you are screwed.

    Adib Narang , great salesman

    We had a very good sales experience with Adib Narang. He quickly found the 2 appliances we needed and even lowered the cost on each. He made sure the delivery was quick also. We were happy to deal with him because the another salesperson told us these items weren't in stock and it would take 2 weeks to get our cooktop and wall oven but luckily, Adib got us both and delivered in 2 days! Great service!

    Bbq

    My wife and I purchased a Napolean grill at another store, but they informed us today they were unable to meet our delivery date. We picked up our deposit, saw your ad on the internet and went to your store. Greated at the door by Mr.Narang and told him what we wanted. He quickly confirmed he had the product in stock, he matched the price and we made the sale. It went very well.
