I purchased wood trimmed windows from Dundas Specialty Windows in 2017. The windows looked amazing in my 100-year-old home and brought out and emphasized the true character of my home both inside and out. But also as important as the aesthetic nature and quality of their product, this is a company that stands behind their products. Whenever I require service Nelson, Stacie and of course Marcio, do not hesitate to address any concern with their professionalism and politeness and ensure that my windows not only look beautiful but continue to function as they did on the first day they were installed. Lets face it. Knowing that we had to replace more than 30-plus windows in our 100-plus-year-old house was stressful. Just thinking about it set our heads spinning -- cost, architectural integrity, energy efficiency, installation. We did our research, searched a myriad of brands, visited showrooms and then it happened. We found Dundas Specialty Windows and Doors. From the moment we stepped into the showroom and met Anthony, our knowledgeable and stalwart window consultant who walked us through some very solid product lines, the stress levels dropped until finally we were calmly absorbed in the discussion of types of windows, brands, designs, goals and of course, costs. Anthony, mindful of budgets and with the patience of Job not only answered our thousands of questions, he provided insightful and creative solutions while we attempted to decide exactly what type of windows we would be installing. And every day when I look at our beautiful new windows from the street, I am grateful to Anthony for suggesting exactly the right solution in the grid number per window dilemma we went through. His solution was bang on. We are also incredibly grateful to Stan and his hard-working installation crew. The team was not only communicative and punctual, their expertise showed in each window and door they installed. They were organized in their division of duties and laser-focused on the job at hand, never stepping away until the installation of a window or door was complete. As a matter of fact, when offered a coffee one morning, one of the installers politely declined as he said he hadn't worked long enough to earn his coffee. The crew was also very neat and respectful of property whether indoors or outside. You know the crew must have made an impression when two neighbours observe: Your installers are very hard-working. And they are so neat. Our experience with Dundas Windows and Doors turned a major, necessary expense into a positive experience. From sales consultant, to the installer, to the office staff, everyone at Dundas Specialty Windows and Doors was professional, responsive, understanding and honest and well, thats very much appreciated. We are happy that we chose local and that we chose a longstanding, family-run business. Did we mention that when we are outside, passersby will often ask: Your windows are very nice. Where did you get them?

A neighbour had recommended Dundas Windows & Doors to us after their own great experience. We were similarly very happy with the level of service, professionalism, and just general good nature of everyone who worked there. Renovations are stressful, and this team has been one of the few service providers who have not added too that stress load at all. I would highly recommend this company, and we will use them again for sure!

We needed to replace all the windows in our home and replace our front door. The windows were fairly straight forward but our front door had to fit into an existing custom side light frame. As a result there was a lot of back and forth trying to find the right door and locking mechanism that would work. I found the representatives at Dundas to be very helpful and responsive and the end result looks great. Overall the whole process of ordering our windows was extremely straightforward and stress free. The quality of products Dundas offers is top notch and our windows are beautiful and enhance the architectural beauty of our home. We are extremely happy. After the windows were installed we had a couple of questions regarding the function of the windows and a service visit happened within days. We commissioned Dundas Specialty Windows to replace an aged bay window on our main floor. We had employed Field Stone Windows in 2020 to do a similar job on our upstairs windows. They made a mess of the job, damaging the window frames and the walls. Nigel was a competent, punctual and courteous appraiser. He was honest and forthright in producing an estimate. Stan and his team did a superb job on the installation. The windows came in on spec, were neatly and cleanly installed, and they look great. They were also clean, restricting the mess in our home to the minimum. Stacy, too, was professional and courteous in shepherding this process through completion. The project came in on budget, on time and with all necessary quality and craftsmanship. The overall experience exceeded our expectations and we would happily recommend Dundas Specialty Windows to prospective customers.

The windows arrived at the warehouse in the dead of winter, rather than in the fall when expected; but to be fair, we had been warned of delays in the manufacturing process, and there was no pressure to get them installed before we were ready. When the time came to install them, the weather was not optimal. I was a little worried about empty windows when rain was threatening; but the crew got them installed in good time, finishing the trim while dealing with some drizzle. Dundas was able to install trim that matches the eaves troughs and trim colour of the house. (They use a company that has lots of colours). The windows look great inside and out. During the process the crew protected interior flooring. Also one fellow kindly accommodated us and saved us some trouble by putting back a blind for us. Ultimately we are generally satisfied and will likely use Dundas Windows, if or when we decide to replace a few more windows.

An outstanding family-owned business. We ordered new windows and also refurbished our stained glass windows as part of major reno. From start to finish, we worked with a team of people who truly care about their product and customer service. Nelson took our drawings and suggested excellent improvements for the windows. He helped us find an extra large french outswing door and stunning floor to ceiling casement window that many other window companies said could not be done. And in the midst of the pandemic with glass shortages, Dundas delivered as promised which allowed the rest of our reno to proceed on schedule. They also arranged for refurbed stained glass to be encased in new glass casement window, so they'll be permanently preserved. Dundas installation team was super efficient, neat and courteous. Everyone was super patient with us, and went above and beyond to make sure we were 100% happy. We would recommend them to anyone looking for new or replacement windows in future.
