In 2015 we contracted Jordan Kipnes to paint the inside and outside of our company's warehouse. We also got him to paint the entire exterior of our home. They were very professional and did an excellent job with both the caulking/prep and painting. The warehouse was 300 feet long by 40 feet tall and they completed it with ease. They used a combination of lifts and ladders and kept everything on budget. We were very impressed with Jordan's experience and crew as everyone worked very hard to complete such a large project. Our home still looks as new as when the painters left it and it has been close to 3 years. Jordan had recommended using the Diamond paint from Dulux which was a great choice as it has really held up. We painted our stucco white and it used to get very dirty as we live near the water. It is still a crisp white and very easy to clean should we need to. Both crews were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend Student Works Painting for both big and small projects.

As a busy entrepreneur and business owner, it is difficult to find time to do any of my own home renovation tasks. I have painted before in our previous home, but have found the task to be tedious and difficult to manage around hectic family/work schedules. Based on the new layout, corners and cut ins of our current home, we were hesitant to tackle the large project on our own. As the years slipped by, I was getting pretty fed up with the awful matte institution yellow that the builder had chosen, but was unable to come to a decision on which colours would best complement our decor. Through the magic of networking, I was put in touch with Megan Shpyth and her team. Megan not only began by providing us colour wheels, but she insisted on paint swatches on specific walls to help us decide which paint actually look best in each area. Just this act alone helped sharpen our choices, as many colours are not as they appear on paper. This saved us from regretting a potentially bad room colour choice, and prevented us from unnecessary costs of painting over an area for a second time. When the team came to site, they were punctual, professional, and met the timelines Megan promised. They filled all the nail holes (and even all of our move in/kid drywall damage!) and did an excellent job of the interior of our home (no floor paint droplets or ceiling paint mistakes!). All of the painters on our site had a temperament so warm towards my children, my daughters were sad to see them go. It was a real pleasure to have them in our home. It has been a year since our work was completed, and we continue to this day to remark on how much we LOVE the new interior of our house. It finally feels like our home! I absolutely recommend the knowledgeable and skilled Megan for any future painting project you may have. We have used Student Works Painting in the past and were pleased with their work. We had started an new reno project and doing all the work ourselves. We purchased paint and part way through the project we contacted Student Works Painting again, working with Dallas S. coordinating. Dallas and his team painted the hallways, living room, dining room area, down the stairs to front door and around the front door. As we had the paint we continued to supply the paint for the project. After the job was complete Dallas followed up with any issues we may have had and came back to make touch ups until we were satisfied. I would use Student Paint Works again and recommend them to anyone needing a painting project done!

We have hired Megan Shpyth on more than one occasion to do painting in our house...the living room, kitchen, pantry, bedrooms, bathroom, etc...you name it, Megan does an awesome job. We had a great experience with Colin and his team of painters. They came and painted our stucco, Tudor style house over the course of a week and were extremely professional throughout. They kept all of their materials and ladders nice and tidy in the back yard showed great care for their work on the house. Colin kept us updated on the progression of the job and even painted some of the more difficult doors himself just to make sure everything was up to his standards. Re Colin Spurling and team I had the exterior of my home painted recently by Colin and 2 members of his crew. Colin did a thorough survey of the house to determine the cost of the job. He explained what the process would be and time involved. The team arrived and did the prep work quickly and thoroughly and a few days later painting began. I was impressed with the attention to detail, particularly where window moldings met the main siding of the house and had to be a different colour. The work was done neatly and at the end of each day supplies were placed tidily out of the way. The workers were always polite and respectful and the few times they needed to access to areas from the interior of the house they were careful to avoid tracking any dirt through. The result is a great paint job which was completed in the stated time period-allowing for some rainy days. Drainpipes and other pieces which were removed prior to the painting were replaced and supplies were cleaned up. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the attitude of the painters. I am looking forward to having the interior of my home painted by Student Works in a few months.

We hired Student Works to paint the exterior of our house in July 2017. We arranged a free estimate with Garry Fong. He was prompt, polite and knowledgeable and completed a thorough walk-through including a detailed breakdown of the work to be completed. He spoke to us in both English and Chinese which was very helpful for my Dad. The quote was competitive and included a 10% discount for booking on the same day. The job was initially planned to start in a few weeks but was delayed due to Garry's busy schedule which was mainly caused by an injury to one of his painters. Although Garry's team did the power wash of our house, the painting was assigned to another franchisee, Jessica Bruzzese. Jessica's team was exemplary and completed the painting job in 2 days. Jessica was polite, efficient and communicated well. Her team also did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. Everyone we dealt with at Student Works conducted themselves in a professional manner. We are very happy with the end result and would definitely hire Student Works again and recommend their services to others.

Colin was contracted to paint the interior of several businesses at Chemainus Village Square. His quote was fair and very thorough. He made it very clear what was and wasn't going to be provided and worked well with other trades, often his team would be the last to leave the site and never caused us any delays. These are customer front facing businesses, not warehouses and the quality of work reflected this. We further contracted Colin to refinish the stain on large exterior beams. He managed our expectations well and provided us with an example of what the finished product would look like. I would not hesitate to recommend Colin and know that he works all over the lower Island, particularly Victoria. We are having him look at several more spaces this year.
