We had a really great experience with the home improvement people and absolutely love our new master bathroom. They were so pleasant to deal with and their price really beat all other quotes we received. They kept all their deadlines and even completed the job early. They have exceptionally good trades, were very respectful to us and our home and kept our house clean at all times. The whole process went so smooth, we wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We are very pleased with our renovated second floor bathroom. The initial consultation with Ben was helpful as some new ideas and suggestions were discussed. All space in the design of the bathroom was creatively utilized. The 3-D design program was an asset in our planning as we could see the bathroom design and make changes accordingly. Gerhard, Neil, Brian and all the crew worked diligently to give us a high standard of workmanship and professionalism. Larry and I would highly recommend The Home Improvement People to anyone who is considering a bathroom reno. All said and done, our bathroom is awesome and we are happy! Barb and Larry

I am thrilled to recommend Dan and his team for basement renovations. We had extensive water damage arising from poor waterproofing around the house. Dan came on time, took off his shoes, surveyed the damage, and provided a detailed estimate within 2 days. The HIP team installed new flooring, redid the old washroom, added a laundry room, and installed new trim throughout. The result was modern and clean. The job finished on time and on budget. They even installed plastic draping to ensure that my main floor didn't become dusty!. Amazing team. Good Work!

The Wife and I had been wanting to change our en-suite for a while. We got in contact with The home improvement people and they were amazing. Elia Gave us some helpful suggestions on our design and the bathroom turned out AMAZINGGGG!!! We never felt pressured with any decisions and we were treated great. There was no mess left in our room no foot prints in the house every thing was kept clean. I will without a doubt use them for any other reno projects I will do in the future. We love our new en-suite and will definitely be using them when we redo our kitchen in the FALL. 5 STARS ALL AROUND

We are very happy with the final results however the process of getting there was not as smooth as we would have hoped. The project started off great and we were very pleased with the progress and enjoyed working with Caio. However, at some point I feel the communication started to break down and the quality of the finishing work started to deteriorate. We were no longer being consulted on major decisions or being advised of deviation from the project plan. After mentioning to Caio that a shower bar was mounted where we didn't want it to be, it took 3 separate attempts to remedy the issue as our instructions weren't followed. We were quite disapointed to find that several of the items we had purchased for the bathrooms got scratched up during the installation (chrome shower plate, tub, vanity countertop, toilet seats). These items eventually got repaired/replaced however the process of getting these guys to take responsibility for the damaged items wasn't the most pleasant. In terms of the finishing work, we found the painting to be sloppy and after having the painters come back several times we ending up touching up the painting ourselves. We were eventually told the project was finished and to meet them at the house with the final cheque however certain items still weren't completed (buffing the tub) and the drywall repair in the living room was very poorly done. I was really shocked at this point as to how professional contractors could do such a sloppy job on the drywall and consider it to be finished. In conclusion, I must say that this company honoured their word and remedied all the issues. I only wish that this experience could have been smoother. Sincerely, Michael and Virginia

My wife and I had long been contemplating an extensive main floor renovation to our home. We found this company o this website, and requested their free estimate. Larry came at the appointed time, took measurements, and with his vast experience was able to quote a price right on the spot. He promptly followed up with a detailed estimate via email. We were impressed, and visited their showroom, where we met their helpful designer, who showed us samples and began walking us through the many design decisions we would have to make. Everything had to be put on hold, however, as we were leaving on vacation. We left a $1,000 deposit on our way out, and wherever to begin. When we got back from our trip, we had time to cost those elements that were our responsibility but not part of the original estimate. Furthermore, there were some additional things that we decided had to be done to fully complete this renovation to our satisfaction. To our dismay, these additional expenses inflated the total cost of the project by some 50%, making it unaffordable for us. The Home Improvement People recognized our plight (I guess we are not the first to have this happen), and graciously refunded our deposit in full. We are extremely grateful, and look forward to working with Larry and his team on a future project.

Eli (the project manager), Jerry and crew did a terrific job renovating my bathroom (condo). The renovation was completed on time, within budget, to a exceptional standard of quality, and with a few extra touches that I didn't ask for but were great improvements. There wasn't a speck of dust outside the unit during the demolition. Now onto refinishing the parquet floors!

Very happy with their service for our basement renovation project. Eli, Narvin and crew did a great through job. Definitely will recommend and use them again for any future work.

I just finished signing another contract this afternoon with HIP for my second reno with them. My first reno was for the kitchen and power room that was completed one month ago and it took only 18 business days from start to finish. AMAZING is one word to describe HIP, everyone from Ben on down are professional, courteous, respectful, hardworking and honest. There are many individuals that participated in my reno Caio, Charlotte, Haydee, bring the principals ones and so many others and I only have good things to say about each one of them. They began the reno when they said they would, they arrived each day as per the schedule , the different trades arrived did their part and the next trade would arrive at times there were 5 crew members working. Even though it was a construction site they left the house tidy each night. The most important fact is that the cost that was originally agreed to did not change there were no surprises that is not to say that I didn't add additional changes and those were priced and agreed to as well. I am thoroughly enjoying my new kitchen, my entire first floor actually and can't wait for my second floor to be completed. Am I happy with HIP? I am thrilled that's why I have hired them again.

We heard about The Home Improvement People on the radio. They were the sixth Contractor we called for quote. Ben, Larry and the Team should fix 24 Sussex Drive, The Prime Minister's Residence. Our reno was completed ON TIME (a bit early actually) , ON BUDGET and to a MASTER CRASFTMAN Level. Considering they renovated the entire main floor of our two storey suburban Pickering home - the job was a close to stress free as possible. They took the house apart and put it back together with almost surgical precision and organizational skill. The contractors arrived early, worked tirelessly and had a FULL Day completed by 3 or 4 pm.
