I just wanted to share how very happy we are with our newly renovated home. We appreciate the final product every single day and we felt heard throughout the entire process. Charlotte, Larry and their team ensured we got exactly what we wanted. Communication and service was excellent from start to finish. They both worked with us attentively and kindly through the inevitable challenges that come up throughout a major home renovation involving new kitchen, bathrooms, plumbing, flooring, tiling, paint etc... Every worker that passed through our door was professional, respectful and ensured a clean and safe environment daily, which was important as we have young kids and the job was significant. They delivered beautifully within the agreed upon time frame and the deep discounts we received allowed us to get the custom look and product we were after. Gerhard is so well organized and we appreciated the time and effort that was put into coordinating a firm start and end date for the project. Daniel did amazing work on the construction of the bathroom itself. Very happy with the finished product and would highly recommend Gerhard and his team.

I had worked with HIP in the past to do the den in the basement. My first experience was great, I figured it would be best to hire again someone I trust. I'm happy I did! We did the unfinished part of our basement which included our laundry room, some closet spaces and a washroom. We also redid the main washroom in the second floor. The renovations look gorgeous!!! It all looks like it came out of an HGTV show. Philip, Elia and Christian were always helpful to us, they answered all of our questions, explained as much as they could and did their best to meet us halfway. Philip and Elia always made time to answer our questions, explain the quotes and the project to us. Christian came again to do basement like the first time. He was great to work with again, he even advocated for us when we had to call the rental company of our furnace because some of the cables were leaking and could damage the ceiling that he was about to start. They didn't want to use better parts at the beginning but with Christian's help and explanation they made the changes necessary to ensure no more leaks would come from their cheap cables. Not all contractors are amazing like that! I'm happy he was there to help us out, because we definitely could have handled the situation and explained it as clear as he did. We are very grateful to have found them. I really appreciated all the work they did for us. I would suggest asking for them when doing a project. I can't wait to call them again for more projects in the house.

We hired HIP to renovate our main floor in two stages....the first half (including our kitchen) and then about 6 months later the second half. They are great to work with: very punctual, upfront with everything and easy to work with. The work was done to our complete satisfaction and we'd recommend them again to anyone! We are very happy we trusted them to work on our home!

We had some exterior painting done on our porch and window trim. Santiago and his team did an excellent job! I look forward to having them do more painting for us in the future.

Our experience with The Home Improvement People (HIP) was exceptional! We found HIP on Home Stars. We contacted three contractors, met with two and selected The Home Improvement People. Our project started off small. To finish approximately 50% of the basement and replace the vanity in the master ensuite. Philip did the initial quote and he was easy to deal with and was very patient with us - making changes, answering all of our questions, etc. We told Philip that we would need lots of handholding throughout the project and we did! When Philip first introduced us to our project manager, Elia, we knew he was someone who we could work with. When Elia told us what day the project would start we asked him if that date was firm? He responded Its written in the book of Elia & it was! On the day the project began we were introduced to various trades: The team doing the basement, team doing the master ensuite, painters, plumbers and electricians. From there on the project grew & grew. Shortly into the project we decided to redo the entire master ensuite including heating the floors. Then we decided to completely redo the powder room and replace the tile in the entrance and laundry room. Just as we were seeing the light at the end of the tunnel we came to the realization that if we did not upgrade the kitchen before we moved into the house it would never get done! Elia thought we were nuts and explained it would impact our anticipated move-in date. When we told him we could be flexible he agreed to do it and within a few days the kitchen was demolished. The entire HIP team has been incredible to work with: Elia was great throughout the project. He was always available by text, email & phone and responded quickly, Gerhard backed up Elia and was also great to work with, Charlotte with her assistance on design, John & Kevin working their magic in the basement with the drywall, painting and flooring, Daniel & Victor everywhere with the project - demolition, laying tile, installing bathroom fixtures, etc. Daniel is a wealth of information and provided great advice during the project. The painter Jordan and his assistant David did great work. It looks great and we are very happy. I dont want to forget Haydee in the office who kept us updated on billing & payments. Many thanks to everyone involved - we are extremely happy clients and would use The Home Improvement People again and also recommend HIP without any reservations!
