    Aluminum wire rejuvenation

    My boyfriend and I purchased a home that needed some TLC a few months ago. In order to get our fire insurance, we needed to get our aluminum wiring brought up to code. Captain Electric was the first and only company we contacted, and we were more than happy to not search out other electricians. Brian was extremely patient and thorough in answering all of the questions I had regarding getting a complete aluminum wiring rejuvenation. Since we were under a major time crunch, Brian came out to our house with the flu to give us our quote, and again thoroughly explained everything needed to be done to our house. He was honest, and presented a reasonable price for the job. Our house is now up to code and we can rest assured that any fire hazard risks we once had have been taken care of. Thanks so much to Brian and his team at Captain Electric! We would recommend to anyone.

    Electrical Panel

    I contacted Captain Electric to come take a look at the electrical in my "new" house due to multiple shorts happening around my household. Someone was dispatched to me the very next day and it was determined that we needed to replace the electrical panel due to the age and non-certified adjustments made by the previous home owners to the unit that was causing severe sparking. Due to the severity, they expedited this replacement to ensure our safety. 2 electricians were sent in. They were extremely personable and knowledgeable on all additional items I asked them about which were above and beyond what I had hired them to do. I'm very pleased that I found Captain Electric and will be calling them for any future needs.

    install 2 ceiling fan boxes (one with ceiling fan)

    We hired Captain Electric to install two ceiling fan boxes in two bedrooms in our house - in one of these bedrooms, we also had them install the actual ceiling fan. They were professional and punctual and we were happy with the work that they did (it also made my husband feel better to see how long it takes for a certified electrician to do this type of work since it seems to justify the cost). It's been several months since the fan was installed and we haven't had any problems - it's perfectly quiet (unlike the one we tried to do ourselves in our previous home). We've used Captain Electric in the past and would definitely use them again should future needs arise!

    Electrical Service

    I called Captain Electric because I have seen their trucks in our neighbourhood and was given a business card from a neighbour. We had a light fixture box that needed repair and a fixture to install. They actually showed up before the scheduled time and were more than professional. They showed me all of their information regarding WSIB clearance certificate, liablity insurance, their certificates of qualifications, ESA number, etc. This is important information for homeowners to know. They also wear shoe covers over their safety shoes and clean up after they are finished - have not seen many contractors do this. The cost is given up front before they start work so you know exactly what the price is - maybe a little pricey though. They also provided us with some suggestions to install a surge trap on our panel to protect our home. The electrician and his apprentice were more than courteous. It is also nice to know they support apprenticeship training.

    outdoor electrical outlet

    It was a real pleasure dealing with Captain Electric - they showed up on time and were courteous and professional. They priced the quote as promised and completed the job within the time frame given and delivered a bill that was exactly as quoted. No surpirises or hidden costs and I received a follow-up letter a few weeks later with a nice note and my certificate of inspection. All in all a real pleasure to deal with and would highly recommend their services to anyone considering electrical work in their home. Thank you, Captain Electric!!

    Complete re-wire for kitchen & bathroom renos, cleaned up old wiring throughout house

    Fuse Panel Replacement/many deficiencies

    Relocation of washer and dryer electrical

    I called many Electrical companies for a quote with out any results. I then tried Captain Electric and Enrico arrived very promptly. He then explained how Captain Electrics quoting system works, and that once the price was quoted that is what you pay..to the penny. No $$ surprises ..a big relief. When it came time to do the job Enrico and Kevin arrived when they said they would, they completed the job in a timely manner and no mess was left behind. With the exception of a few important questions they did not need my assitance during the completion of the job. Well done guys.

    Electrical inspection

    I called Captain Electric because of lights on the landing and in my daughter's bedroom that did not turn on, as well as some electric plugs that didn't work. I'm not handy with electrical wiring which I suspected might be the case, I decided to look for a professional electrican and found Captain Electric in Home Stars as they had the most number of highest reviews. So I set an appointment with Captain Electric, and two electricians arrived who were most professional, gave me a lot of usefulinformation, even wore booties inside my home, quickly resolved my electrical issue - easily done. In short, Captain Electric will be my go-to company for my electrical needs in my home. I am most pleased with their pricing, professionalism and integrity of service, and I highly recommend them.

    Moving/Upgrading Electrical Panel

    Captain Electric came in to move and upgrade my electrical panel. They were awesome. They were extremely professional, properly certified, delivered to plan and were so efficient. I highly recommend them.
