We needed to replace the old fuse boxes in the 14 apartments in our building. Ed came in and inspected every unit to make sure he was ordering the correct replacements and to assess any extra work that may have to be done as some were partly covered by cabinets. His quote was very competitive and the work was completed professionally and on time. It was a pleasure doing business with him. He is now the electrician we will be calling anytime we have electrical work to be done.

I'm certain any electrician would have been able to solve the persistent electrical issue I had called Ed for, but I appreciate his level of efficiency and professionalism while working on my property. I'm an eager audience member when contractors are working on my property, as it's always a great chance to learn something new. Ed did a great job explaining what he was doing at each step, and when he was finished, I had a great deal of newfound knowledge, in addition to a solved electrical issue. We hired Jans Electric to do the electrical work when we were finishing our basement. While our dealings with some of the other trades was a little frustrating, our experience with Jans was excellent. They showed up on-time each time, gave good advice, were always friendly and honest, and completed everything perfectly. Well done!

Although this was not a sophisticated and elaborate assignment, John quickly assessed the problem and offered us a quick and practical solution which suited our situation. Some of the wiring to the back porch lights on the house we just bought was done improperly. It was exposed on the outside of the house. I contacted Ed and made an appointment to have him come out to fix this and 3 other small wiring issues. Ed showed up on time and did a fantastic job. He's vey personable and professional. He also spent time to give me a quote on two other future projects. Ed and Jans Electric will be our electrician from now on. He's excellent and his pricing is very reasonable. we renovated our kitchen last year and needed to re-wire numerous outlets, move receptacles,upgrade amperage, install pot lights etc. They quoted a competitive price and were able to work into our timeline. With most home repairs and renovations, you have three choices; 1. You can do it yourself. 2. You can get your buddy's best friend to do it for a case. 3. You can hire a professional who knows exactly what they are doing. I've always reverted to DIY to avoid any dissapointments. This particular work had been sitting idle for 10mths and holding up further renos. My wife was getting... ummm... concerned about getting this part completed. After finding good positive cross refs online, I hired Ed to do the job. He provided some good feedback/suggestion on the placement of some lighting, did an amazingly neat job of job of installing potlites. I simply don't have the special tools or experiance to do the job he did. He completed in about 4 hours what had been bothering me for months. So in summary, a big reco for Jan's Electic! They are now on my list of trusted professionals.
