    Basement electrical clean up

Alex and his crew re-wired our whole home in August when we purchased it. At that point, we hadn't taken down the basement ceiling, but did so recently. We found several electrical issues we (and they) could not have known about before. Alex and his crew came in, removed and replaced improper wiring, and re-located junction boxes. They did so quickly, on budget, and cleaned up afterwords. I'll continue to use, and recommend Maple Leaf for any electrical work we, or our friends and family may need.

    Installation of gallery/pot lights

I had gallery lights installed in a room designated for my paintings and sculptures. I expressed my preference in the placement of the lights, and Adolfo expressed his knowledge and expertise and gave me a few reasons why the placement should be changed. To my surprise he was right, and I am extremely content with Adolfo's suggestions. The type of lights that were chosen are perfect. This room is my favourite room in the house - the light gives it such elegance and life. As an artist I will say that your work is an Art. Thank you Adolfo.

    Recessed Lighting Installation

My wife and I really wanted to have pot lights installed in our home but we were hesitant because we didn't want our ceilings damaged. Alex, Tyler, Ken and the rest of the team were definitely the right guys for the job. We were really picky about light placement and we didn't want any additional holes in our ceiling. These guys came through on both fronts! They were courteous and professional from start to finish and we will definitely be calling them back for any future electrical needs. 10's across the board! Highly recommended!

    General Troubleshooting

I hired Mapleleaf to do some troubleshooting around my home. It is an older home and some of the lights and outlets were not working. I also wanted some extra outlets installed. Adolfo, the electrician showed up on time and was very diligent in his attempt at getting to the root of the problems. He was very good about doing the job right and did not compromise safety. He did his best to minimize my costs and took extra pains to finish the job the same day. I was really impressed with his work and recommend Mapleleaf wholeheartedly.

    electrical ESA certification updates

After we bought our home we needed an ESA certification from a Master Electrician for our insurance. After ESA came to review the house we contacted Mapleleaf Electrical to complete their recommendations. Alex and his team were excellent on site. They were thoughtful, courteous, efficient, and did a great job. We did however experience some power surges after their initial work was done. We contacted them right away and they sent someone to repair the issue. It should be noted that the cause was not due to Mapleleaf's work. They were very good overall.

    Knob and Tube Removal

Alex and his team have removed knob and tube for me on 3 properties so far and I can’t see myself using another company in the future. The first phone call we made after signing the P&S agreement on the house was to Alex to check his availability to do the job. As usual he made time right when we needed him and was engaged all the way through. It's important to note that this wasn't the least expensive quote, but when I’ve hired someone else for knob and tube removals in the past, I inevitably need to bring in Mapleleaf to finish the job right. It ends up being more affordable and less stressful to just book these guys from the start. For small jobs Alex provides the services of various electricians on his team to make sure the customer’s needs are met in a timely fashion while also keeping the costs down. For this job I had Sean, Daniella, Devin, Tyler, Ken, Andrew and Alex working on the house over a 7 day span. They met deadlines, minimized holes/mess, and were patient in making small adjustments on the fly. Sean installed extra fixtures and a vent fan and also spent a morning cleaning up the house. Each morning I came over, the team was clear in describing the process to date and the game plan going forward. They were always professional and clearly had good work ethics given the tight turn-around. Thanks for the expertise, Mapleleaf.

    Fuse to breaker panel conversion

Lights out to a fuse panel that saw the first moon landing. Twelve years of living with an archaic fuse box recently came to a happy ending after a visit from the Mapleleaf team — Alex and Sean. No more bewildering stares into a maze of coloured orbs (resembling a faded Twister Mat) trying to decipher which fuse needed my attention. Alex and Sean brought me into the 20th century by replacing my outdated fuse panel with a 100 amp breaker panel. They also took care of a temperamental GFI in the cabana — hello hot tub! Their knowledgeable service and timely arrival was very much appreciated. And, best of all, they explained everything to me in a way that even I could understand. =) Highly recommend!

    No Lights

I had all the lights in my house go out, and I did not know what todo. I went to my neighboor and used his laptop. I did not care about the price because I simply needed electricty to finish a project. I found Maple leaf and called them. The electrican came in 1 hour and fixed all my lights. He said that It was a small electrical problem in the bacement. I liked the service and will recomond them to all my friends.

    Income property renovation

I am one of the contractors who works for the Income Property TV show. I recently had Mapleleaf Electric to finish my first income project. It was a second and third floor renovation. It consisted of a kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms rewire, including lights, potlights and dimmers installations. As a leader contractor I am happy with the job M.L.Electric had done. I highly recommend this company to anyone.

    lighting/wiring fix

The lights went out in a tenant's apartment and after doing the usual things like checking the fuses etc. nothing was working so I looked on Homestars to find a DECENT electrician, and I found one! Alex quickly came to the rescue and saved the day. He was fast, efficient, polite and extremely knowledgable. And what's more, the price was right! Thank you Alex!!
