    No hot water

We have used WW in the past and the service and it's always first rate. They came by last fall to try and adjust our hot water and tried to buy us some some time in replacing the mixing hardware.Long story short, they came by yesterday and replumbed our pipe work and installed a new thermostatic hot water mixer. No we have tons of hot water. Also we bought a wonderful product called Bio-Clean that keeps our drains flowing freely.Keep up the good work! Clogged Kitchen Sink

I have been a home owner for almost 40 years, and I never had to hire anyone to fix any plumbing problem. That was until last Saturday, our kitchen sink was clogged. As always, I tried to unclog it myself, using all the tricks I know, including toilet plunger, wired clothes hanger, and even a vaccuum cleaner. But this time, my luck failed me, in the process, I broke the sink basket and the pipe connection, making matters worse. My wife had to prepare our dinner and washing the dishes in the basement, using the laundry sink down there. After dinner, I tried once more to unclog it, still no luck, I realized it was time to raise the white flag and look for help. But as I mentioned above, I never hired a plumber before, I didn't know who to call. I spent that evening going over websites, reading reviews on plumbing contractors, eventually I found the HomeStars website and read a lot of great comments about WaterWorks. Before I went to bed, I had already made up my mind to call them first thing in the morning. Sunday morning 9 AM, I called WaterWorks, a lady answered the phone. She was very friendly and patiently took down all the details and promised someone would be at our house within an hour. Before 10 AM, she called back and asked whether it was ok to wait for another hour, because the technician unexpectedly had to spend a little more time on the job he was working at that moment. I told her it was ok, and thanked her for letting me know. At 11 AM, a young man showed up at the door, he introduced himself, his name was Todd. He was also very friendly and patiently listened to what I had to tell him. He then checked under the sink and went to the basement to see where the drain was connected to the main down pipe. He explained to me what had to be done and how much would cost to get it fixed. Although it was a little more than I was hoping to pay, but he impressed me that he was knowledgeable and capable of doing a good job, therefore I told him to proceed. He replaced the sink basket and the connector first, and then used a 25 feet plumber's snake to unclog the drain pipe. It took him several tries before he finally freed up all the blockages. After reconnected all the piping and made sure no water dripping anywhere, he vacuumed the area thoroughly and the sink area looked completely clean. In conclusion, I am very satisfied with Todd's work and would recommend WaterWorks to everyone.

    frozen pipes

I woke up this Tuesday morning to no water. After verifying with the City that the problem was not on their end, I called WaterWorks right away - thankfully, they answer the phone at 8:30 am! I had a great experience the first time I used WW, so there was no question for me that they were the ones to call. The lady on the phone was very nice and efficient, and Larry arrived at our home within the time frame stated. I very much appreciated that they were able to send someone within a few hours of my call. The cost of the work was stated right away, the work was done efficiently and professionally, and best of all I got a 10% rebate because I had signed up for their Platinum Protection Plan the previous time - it paid for itself within one visit. Not that I hope to have further plumbing problems, but if I do, I will certainly call WaterWorks again.

install pump, repair kitchen faucetand install laundry tub.

This is our third experience with Water Works and we are very pleased. They always send friendly and knowledgable people to our home and our issues are always fixed properly. Our first experience was a laundry tub install, then we had a new kitchen faucet and valves and our last project was to replace a faulty sump pump.Trustworthy, reliable and definitely a company I would keep on my speed-dial.Thanks!

    Toilet installation

Michael came and removed and replaced 3 toilets . This is the second time we have used waterworks. They were exactly on time, worked quickly, tidied up totally and took all the old toilets to the road for me. I had him also check one of the other toilets in my house, he changed out an old part that wasn't working well and didn't charge for that. He told me his price before he started and there were no additional costs when I received my bill. Very honest and reliable.

    Leaking Main Valve

We were disappointed with every aspect of our repair, it's hard to know where to begin. We asked for a quote. They charged us $70 for the quote, even though they had said that if we agreed to the work they would not charge us the quote fee. On the day of the scheduled repair, we called the office in the morning because the plumber had asked us to remind them what about specific tools to bring. The woman in the office was very confused and unhelpful, and after several attempts she still had no idea what we were talking about - even though we read the reminder note directly off the quote. They were scheduled to arrive between noon and 4. He arrived at 2:30, without knowing anything about the job he was scheduled to do. The woman in the office had made it worse by trying to relay the reminder note from the quote, but since she didn't understand it, it made no sense to him. Then he asked us what the problem was, and he asked to look at our copy of the quote, since he didn't have their copy or a work order of any kind. Then he informed us he didn't have the right tools and would have to go back to the office. He told us the office was 30 min away. Two hours later, at 4:30, he had still not returned, and there was no phone call, so we called the office again. The woman on the phone explained that he couldn't get into the office to get the tools because he had no key, and he had to pick up a co-worker and take them the office to let him in. No one had called to inform us of the delay. Finally more than 2 hours after he left he returned. He did the work. There was one charge on the bill for $475 for "cutting drywall, etc." which I questioned, as he did not do that at all. He tried to explain it was for "other" labour, but couldn't be more specific. The total job took less than 1.5 hrs, involved no cutting of drywall, and was only to replace a single valve which was accessible, so the total bill of $815 seemed high for the work (and that price was after he reduced it $100 because we complained after the customer service. Also, on the bill he had made 6 mistakes, like our name, our phone number, the amount, etc. He was also supposed to give us a rebate to cover the quote we had paid for, but didn't until we pointed it out. When leaving, he told us the connection may be leaking and we should check it later. When we did check, it was leaking, which he obviously knew when he did it - but still left it that way anyway. We called back to have someone come and fix it - but insisted on a different guy. The appointment was for 8 am Monday. By 8:45 when we had no plumber and no phone call, we called the office. The plumber was still in the office running behind, so they knew he was late, but hadn't made an effort to let us know. They said he would be there at 10:00 am or shortly after. He arrived at 10:45 - with no apologies or even an acknowledgement of the missed appointment time or the inconvenience to us because of the leak due to their bad work. He looked in the wall at the repaired valve, then told my wife it was a great job. Then told her the leak was at the connection to the meter, and it was the city's problem. Luckily I had taken a picture of the leaks and given it to my wife as evidence - when she showed it to him - he admitted there was also a leak around his company's work that was their fault. He then fixed it. The customer service was horrible, the workmanship was atrocious, and they were very unprofessional. We will never use them again, warn everyone to avoid this company.

    Answer from pro:

Hi,and thanks for your review.I'm quite mystified by your account of our service calls to you. The details as you give them do not correspond to the service provided. Certain statements, such as your reference to a definite time promised for service call, are not in accordance with our regular practise, which involves giving a window of time in which we will arrive. I would like to lay out the facts as my memory and my company records indicate them to be. To begin with, I carefully reviewed your calls to our company and I found that no mention was made about what special tools we should bring. Our dispatcher handled the calls in the most professional manner, entirely in accordance with our usual high standards. We found nothing to criticize in her handling of your calls. The repairs carried out were in a particularly awkward place, in the corner of your basement and inside a drywall-covered column. You are right that there was a leak problem remaining and this was our fault. This was due to the difficulty of accessing the repair site. However, I never denied that you had a leak. I simply said on first inspection that I didn't see one. After you showed me the exremely helpful picture that you had taken of the leak, I understood immediately what I had to do to repair the problem, and I fixed it for you. I myself came to your home to inspect that leak in response to your call. Our dispatcher Amina booked your service call for between 8 a.m. and 12 noon, and I arrived at 10:24 a.m. according to our GPS records, entirely within the time period we promised you. We regret that you were dissatisfied with our service, but a review of the experience shows that we maintained a high standard of courtesy, competence, and responsiveness in attempting to do this job for you. Faucet replacement

Had Michael in from WaterWorks again, this time to replace our kitchen faucet. It's something I could have attempted myself, but by the time you add in getting a plumber to repair my damage, the fire department and marriage counseling, I'd be looking at way more than. $320. While he was here, Michael also consulted on some other projects we're planning for the house. He's never pushy or acts like a know-it-all. We'll definitely have him back soon!
