The actual work to repair a broken cartridge on my shower faucet was excellent. The expert who completed the repair, Ethan, did very good work and finished the job efficiently and with professionalism. I would happily recommend Ethan and the work he did. However, the resulting repair on the tap and faucet meant that eight shower tiles were removed, so the next step was repairing those tiles. Waterworks gave me an estimate for more than $6,500 to repair eight tiles. I went with another company that did an exceptional job for less than $1000. And that's the problem with Waterworks. It's totally disrespectful to the customer to attempt to rip them off with an outrageous cost to repair eight tiles. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. So, I can't recommend this company because I find their business ethics are questionable.
Waterworks has since responded to my review with additional information, so I've updated my rating and my review. I'd advise anyone hiring any contractor for any service to check carefully to see that the estimate matches the actual work required. It avoids misunderstandings like this!
