We bought 1500sf hardwood oak (plus other materials for the installation). Good product at ok price. Nick was nice to deal with. They do not install, but set us up with one of their contractors (Adam from AA Flooring). His work was alright, but we needed him to come back to fix up some flaws, which he did. Labour cost was ok (excluded from total below) but we also had him refinish our stairs and that was on the higher side compared to others and the initial finish was quite rough. Adam was responsive and we are satisfied with the end product now.

The Hardwood Flooring Store in Markham provide excellent customer service --Darren and the install team--Jack and Tom. Darren helped me to select the right floor for our home, answered all of my questions and provided great value in the product and service. Jack and Tom were absolutely professional, the floors look stunning and the installation was well done and on time. My wife and I are really pleased we chose to do business with The Hardwood Flooring Store and would definitely recommend them.

We live in a remote house in BC. Ron was able to find us a deal and ship to our door for a great price. We love the engineered maple and feel it is a high quality product.

We had been contemplating redoing our entire house (upstairs, all bedrooms and main floor) in hardwood for a long time. We needed to work with someone who could help us visualize what we wanted. Richard Barclay was the right guy. He listened and guided us even providing us with large samples to help us make our decision. He answered all our questions and made sure he understood what we were looking for. We ordered Preverco Maple Hardwood Floors and they are beautiful. Vitali & Andrew were the installers. They were amazing!!! The job was big as they had to remove laminate flooring that had been laid over old hardwood which they had to remove as well. They also had to raise the railing upstairs in order to accommodate a smooth finish. They also had to work around built in cabinetry and an already renovated kitchen. Nothing was a problem for them and they finished the job in 7 days. They did a great job and left the house each day very clean. They also moved our big furniture around. The installation of the new floor is immaculate and it looks wonderful. We are extremely happy with the work that they did. We originally thought that installing hardwood floors would be a huge headache and a big disruption in our lives but Richard, Vitali and Andrew made it painless. The results are magnificent and I would recommend these gentlemen without any hesitation.

We went to the store to pickup an order we'd already placed and paid for a week before. Upon arriving, the warehouse staff told us the hardwood waiting for us was the completely wrong size compared to what we were sold. They brought in the salesperson and he reluctantly confirmed this was the case. They then brought in the 2 owners, who handled the situation by saying: "this is a waste of our time" "I don't want to deal with this" "I know people like you, a bunch of cheapskates" "take back your money and get out of my store" etc. He then generously offered us - his customer - 20 seconds to explain the situation, during which he threatened to call the police if we didn't leave. Don't waste your time. Save your energy and peace of mind by going to another nearby store.

Went in, and asked for a good, durable Canadian Hardwood. They recommended one that they had on promotion by Armstrong. They ordered enough for my entire main floor, and including installation and taxes it was only $3800!!! What a deal. If I knew quality hardwood was so cheap, we would have done the installation sooner. This place is packed with great deals!

We went to many places to see hardwood products, and this store was the best! Richard was simply amazing and addressed our many concerns and thousands of questions with patience and ease. Khary was our installer and he was great! Installed professionally and quickly! We are so happy!

Wonderful experience with this store - I couldn't be happier. When I visited the showroom, Sam patiently listened to my requirements and then recommended a beautiful hickory hardwood for my living room, dining room and bedroom. First the old hardwood had to be removed, a brutal job which the installers, Vinnie and Jason, completed with amazing energy. I was so impressed with their work ethic and attention to detail. They were totally focused on making their customer happy and completed an expert installation. I love my gorgeous new floors and for future jobs, will definitely return to the Hardwood Flooring Store!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE. We worked with Richard Barclay @ Vic Park location to find the perfect flooring for us - we originally came in looking for engineered hardwood but Richard showed us much better product (all made in Canada) that was real hardwood, coming in at less than an engineered product. We loved this option as we are slowly renovating a 100+ year old house. We comparison shopped at a few other smaller stores as well as the big boxes and could not match the quality and price offered at The Hardwood Flooring store. We opted to prep our own floors and when the install team came (Andrew's team - amazing, honest guys) they told us that it needed much more work - we needed to sand and lay plywood prior to install (major learning curve for us). Instead of being annoyed and frustrated about his team not having work for that day and us not being ready, Andrew explained to us that if he was to lay the floor, it would pop up and get wonky after a few months. He educated us on how this should be done properly and left us with instruction and next steps. As first time home buyers and DIYers we really appreciated his honesty and professionalism. 10+ From there, Richard organized a team last minute to come in to further prep the floors so that Andrew's team could come back for the last day we had booked with them so that they could at least lay half the flooring in the house. Vin's team did a perfect job, worked a super long day and got everything done professionally and always with a smile on their face - what a great bunch of guys. 10+ Luckily, Andrew's team was able to come back to start the install and so far, the craftsmanship is incredible. Everything lines up perfectly, looks amazing and has really transformed our space. We would recommended this place to anyone looking for put new flooring down. Very knowledgable & professional and willing to help with last minute (major) hiccups. 10+++ experience.

There were knowledgeable staff at the store to help me decide and prompt qualified, efficient workpeople did the job. Recommended by my neighbour, which is why I chose them in the first place.
