Valentin and his company are the absolute best. You would be hard pressed to find better. Honest, reliable, caring, super knowledgeable, kind, courteous, I could go on, but I'll stop there. Val knew that we had to get flame-resistant pipes, as this is an old heritage building/loft and the regular ABS pipes wouldn't be allowed. He EVEN suggested a brushed finish would look better than the shiny chrome we had in there before to match everything else in the kitchen and he was right, it looked way better. That kind of thought and care is what sets him apart from everyone else. He was on-time, fast and explained everything very thoroughly to me. Our tenants were also having an issue with their water temp of their shower. He was able to quickly adjust it and did so as a complimentary service. We have used Valentin a couple of times in our home and our rental condo. Of ALL the trades people we had come through, he is my absolute favourite. He is truly a gem of a human.

I’d been having water hammering noises for a long time and didn’t know what to do as I was told that there’s nothing that could be done. However I checked on line and found that there’s a good chance that a pressure reducing valve could help. I searched on home stars and found Strong Plumbing Inc who had very good reviews by past clients. I decided to get in touch with them and sent a message. Valentin responded shortly after and asked for details of the problem and to send him some pictures. The problem was loud noises coming out of my plumbing lines when I ran the washing machine, the showers and recently when I flushed the toilets. He looked at the photos and explained that he could install water hammer arrestors for the two lines to the washing machine and a pressure reducing valve for the main water line. The problem could be that the water pressure coming into the house is too high. He gave me the price and time estimate. He was on time and finished job in the 3 hours he estimated, not forgetting to wear his mask and gloves as well as booties for his shoes . He explained what he was doing and made sure everything was working well before he left. I couldn’t thank him enough when we didn’t hear any noises when we check the water lines after he was finished. I would definitely call him in the future for any plumbing problems I may have. We hired Valentin through HomeStars because he was very responsive and had excellent reviews. He stuck by me when I ordered the faucet and it took over a month to arrive and was immediately ready to install it when it finally came. He was very conscious of social distancing and I appreciated that he wore a mask in the house. The work was excellent and I would definitely call Val in the future and recommend him to others.

We used Val at Strong Plumbing to install a new sump pump, a water powered backup sump pump (works without battery backup) and to repair a toilet drain pipe that was leaking. In both jobs the price he quoted was fair, he was quick to respond to inquires and he came as scheduled. I have overseen a lot of renovation construction and I found his technical knowledge and workmanship to be excellent.

Our house was built in 1994 in the Borough of North York at a time when ball valves were viewed as instruments of the Devil, only used by Satan worshippers in the wicked City of Toronto. However our trusty screw valve shut-off had become rusty and increasingly immune to WD-40. After gathering the usual 3 quotes, I found Valentin of Strong Plumbing not only offered a reasonable price and warranty period, but also was forthcoming regarding the process for getting the street supply turned off and on. Obviously most people resent both having their water off for more than an hour and having to pay "extra" for this, but it's better if the contractor talks about any "hitches" first, even those that a homeowner might be expected to already know. Too many take a stance of "I never told you because you never asked". My impression is that Valentin is not like this. For the scheduled time I ensured that all junk being stored nearby was cleared aside. The actual change out of the shut-off was straight forward without any drama. The new valve can be easily operated with my little finger, which after some past dicey episodes gives me peace of mind.

Valentin is polite, efficient, and costs are fully transparent. I’m-extremely satisfied and appreciative to have contacted Valentin twice over the past two years and would highly recommend him. He’s my go- to person for any plumbing related issue.
