    New Furnace & A/C

    In late Dec we noticed that our 21 yr old furnace began to limp along and not keep the inside home temp at the thermostat setting. I had someone examine the furnace – the verdict was a repair no longer made sense for this old furnace. I planned to have several companies from HomeStars provide quotes for a new furnace, but I only got thru part of my list of contractors; after listening to Richard describe that CoreTemp is his own business, they don’t contract out & why he carries the brands he does … it was an easy decision. Richard recommended 3 furnaces at 3 different price points for us to choose for our home. The installation was extremely professional - Richard & Eric arrived right on time, they took out the old furnace , a/c & thermostat; installed the new furnace, built an amazing case for the A/C coils, hooked up the new wifi thermostat – all done in half day. What’s more Richard had his ‘scrap guy’ take away the old furnace & a/c unit; they put down a mat to protect our tiled floors & totally cleaned up after themselves! CoreTemp’s invoice was exactly as per the quote; Janice filed for our rebates and registered our Lennox products for the extended warranties. I couldn’t be happier. If you need a new furnace or a/c, save yourself some time & grief … call Richard at CoreTemp first; I highly recommend them - they are pros.

    Furnace instalation

    Richard gets what customer service is. A complete professional. He helped me nurse my old unit for 8 years, so of course he was my choice for the new furnace . The install went ahead when the old unit died, with only 12 hours notice. It was snowing, so the conditions were far from ideal. I would highly recommend him for any heating or cooling needs you have. Thanks Richard, Ed

    New Furnace and Air Conditioner

    We had several estimates from top rated companies on Homestars and Richard was the obvious choice. He is professional, courteous, intelligent, extremely knowledgeable and happy to explain everything and answer any questions we had. He was not the least bit pushy and was happy to give us a quote over the phone along with a friendly offer to come out and talk to us if we'd like. I think we called him three times with questions before we had him come out to meet us and he never seemed bothered by it at all. He was there personally with his team to install it and it was done in half a day. They were very friendly, even to our wild puppy, and so clean you would never have known we had had work done in the house. I truly cannot recommend them enough and I am just thrilled with my new furnace and how quiet it is! Thank you very much! (For some reason HomeStars thinks I am in Kitchener but I am actually in Brampton. )

    New Furnace & CAC

    I interviewed 4 HVAC contractors before deciding to work with Richard. He was honest, knowledgeable and very professional. He even went out of his way to recommend someone to install my new hot water tank. Follow up questions were dealt with promptly and courteously . Installation of High Eff Furnace & CAC was done in 1/2 day! I have already recommended him to my neighbours. Thanks Richard, Eric & team

    First Class service and workmanship

    Our furnace died and the contractor we usually used was not available, so we used HomeStars to find a local company who could service our unit. Because of previous issues with our 21 year old furnace we expected that it was at the end of its life and we would be needing to replace it. We chose CoreTemp based on the reviews posted here, and CoreTemp exceeded our expectations. They came out immediately to do an assessment on Friday and installed a new furnace first thing on Monday morning. The workmanship was excellent and all our questions were answered. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, respectful and true to their word. We call that first class! We're very happy to have found CoreTemp and look forward to seeing them annually to maintain our system. Thank you Richard and Janice and Erik. Your dedication to exceptional customer service is sincerely appreciated.

    Furnace and AC Replacement

    The DC motor in our 11 year old furnace seized up last week. In calling for a repair, the servicing company considered a furnace replacement given the cost of the replacement part. Having had issues with that furnace and AC unit over the relatively short time I owned it, I indicated to the servicing company that I was going to get quotes for replacement of both the AC and furnace. I'm still waiting for quotes from that company. Having used HomeStars before, I decided to obtain three quotes and because of CoreTemp's ratings, I needed to have them quote given their perfect 10 ratings. As indicated in the other reviews, Richard called quickly after I posted a request for quote on their website. I had three other quotes lined up and Richard spent the time to discuss the ball-park replacement costs over the phone and agreed to meet later that afternoon. I met with Richard and his assistant Erik after having obtained two quotes, and it was literally night and day. Richard assessed my needs, listened to my issues with the prior furnace and recommended a solution that would work but also suggested alternatives. What really sold me was his professionalism, the fact they do not sub-contract their installs, and that he looks at things, like he says, from a technician's perspective on what solution would work best with the customer. I was so impressed with Richard that I cancelled the remaining two quotes later that day. Now for the install. Because the weather was changing, Richard was concerned about our being without heat and re-scheduled a job yesterday so he could accommodate us. He and his team arrived promptly to the second at 7:30 a.m. yesterday and worked through until we had heat again in the early afternoon. He had his "junk guy" pick up the old furnace (aptly described as junk) and when I arrived back from a business trip last night, I had a new furnace, expertly and cleanly installed) and no indication that they had ever been there, I swear the job site was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. I think it is rare in this day and age to have someone who takes such pride in his work and the business he has built. If you are reading this as I was wondering about a 10 rating - do yourself a favour and call Richard. You will soon be convinced as I was and his work product speaks for itself.

    Furnace and AC replacement

    Had new Lennox furnace and AC installed a few weeks ago and the experience was great! Owner Richard arrived with 3 installers - everyone was polite and friendly. Richard walked me through the whole process, showed me the corroded heat exchanger on my old Carrier, explained the extra features his installation would give me and walked me through the rebate process. The same day Janice registered the equipment with Lennox and did all the other paperwork to complete my install! Have already recommended Core Temp to colleagues!

    Great work, great service

    This is a man and a company you can rely on! Most important: Richard returned my call immediately (it was cold out when my furnace quit), he came the next day to give me a quote, and he explained why he backs the brands he installs. During installation he and his team were very polite, clean and respectful of my home. And when there was a small problem (air below the furnace causing a loud whistling noise) he helped me troubleshoot the problem over the phone so I could get on with my day (laying a towel down to block air helped) and then came to fix the problem the next day. After 2 years of bad service from another company, when my furnace broke 3 times during 2 bad winters, working with Coretemp was a breath of fresh air! Richard is honest, clear in his explanations and I trust him to come quick if I ever have a problem. Great service like this is rare! Richard and Coretemp have my respect and my recommendation. I have a 10 year warranty and I have confidence in my furnace. Thanks, Richard.

    INSTALLATION OF NEW FURNACE, THERMOSTAT AND HUMIDIFIER

    Richard and his crew did an amazing job installing my new Lennox furnace, wifi thermostat and humidifier. They showed up just on time on the day of the installation. They cleaned up to after the installation. Richard billed me exactly as to what was agreed upon on the qoute. They even checked my old furnace if there were any cracks present on the heat exchanger which my former HVAC maintenance provider claimed. Coretemp found out that they were not telling the truth. So far, I am so happy with the work that they have done and will definitely recommend them to my family and friends.

    Furnace and AC

    Richard was great. Professional, clean, great product representation of Lennox. He installed my AC and found a leak in my furnace. I was so happy with his service that i chose to use him again for my Lennox furnace. He brings a professional group of guys with him and does the job efficiently. He owns this business and his reputation is important; not some guy working for a large organization. Highly recommend CORETEMP and Richard.
