Setting up the install was a breeze with a quick e-mail. Mike, the HVAC installer, called before hand and arrived on time. Removed and disposed of the old humidifier, set up the new one in less than a few hours. Answered all my questions well. Had a small snafu with the water line to the humidifier having a pinhole leak in it because it was left resting up against the super hot exhaust gas pipe from the furnace. But Mike did a great job of fixing it and securing the water pipe away from the exhaust pipe. He also gave me a free pad replacement for next year. Mistakes happen, its what you do in the face of these mistakes that really matter to me and Mike did a great job. Update: I have to update this review to a lower score here. The humidifier did not work at all. In fact, the installer hadn't even tested that the thing turned on when first installed since the power supply he used was from the old humidifier and that supply wasn't even powered. When I called the company they sent someone out very quickly (next day) and got it all fixed but its something so simple that it should have been tested in the first place which is why I'm dropping this a few points.

Richard and his crew did a fantastic job replacing my furnace and A/C. We are very, very satisfied! Right from the beginning his no-nonsense approach, expert advice and outstanding service made it easy to go with him. His quote was very reasonable and he avoided quoting every piece separately (condenser, humidifier, piping, etc). Now that the work is done, I can definitely say that Coretemp deliver on their promises!

Just before leaving on vacation we discovered our hot water tank was leaking. A house sitter was going to be living in our place while we were gone so we couldn't just turn it off and we were afraid it would become a major problem while we were overseas. Initially, we were just going to get a new tank but when we found out we would also have to pay for an upgraded chimney liner we decided to shell out the extra money and go tankless. After speaking with several companies we decided to go with CoreTemp. Richard was quick to come out and give us a quote and thoroughly explained the products and our options. Since it was a last minute job, Richard would actually be doing the installation a day after we left, but he seemed so competent and trustworthy we left without worry. A couple of days after we left he emailed us with information and photos about our new water heater and the installation. It looked great! I was quite picky about where I wanted the unit to be placed so as to maximize the available space in our small basement. Richard was very accommodating and managed to tuck it in a corner behind our furnace. It is still quite accessible and allows us to use the space that the old water tank had been in for other purposes. While Richard was examining our basement to determine the placement of the tankless unit he pointed out a piece of gas piping on our furnace that was not installed to code and offered to replace it (I believe at cost, which was minimal) while doing the tankless install. I would highly recommend CoreTemp. They are courteous, professional and prompt. Their product is excellent and their service is outstanding. If we ever to decide to get a/c or need a new furnace, CoreTemp will be the first place we call. As a recent homeowner, we were devasted to find out our furnance stopped working during the recent cold-spell. We were referred to Richard at CoreTemp Heating and Air and he was truly a gift from the Furnace Repair Gods above. In our desperate need, Richard diagnosed the problem (the blower motor no longer worked and needed a replacement). The furnace itself was in an awkard position but Richard and his able assistance worked at it to ensure the motor was installed as appropriately as possible. Purchased a house that required service renovations. Richard and his CoreTemp team guided us with excellent advise, product recommendations and exceptional service. As the season changes my house tends to get ridiculously dry in the winter. Having small children I wanted to make sure that they were comfortable this winter so I decided to install a whole home humidifier. Richard and his CoreTemp crew showed up the next day to install the product. They were clean, considerate (really quiet as my daughters were napping), and informed me of the regular maintenance and operation of the humidifier. We bought a completely remodelled house that was roughed in for CAC. The initial quoting process was enough to tell you that these guys know what they are doing. From calling the manufacturer of our furnance for some information, to fully inspecting the installation site, to providing the right solution to meet our needs...these guys raise the bar. We even had a wrinkle where the roughed in wiring wasn't connected...they found a solution for this in less than 1 hour. A first class operation all the way...would definitely use these guys again!

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have found an amazing heating and cooling company like CoreTemp Heating and Air. Upon noticing that my air conditioner was not functioning properly I called Richard hoping that he would show up in the next week, and to my amazement he showed up on the same day (during a heat wave to boot). He diagnosed the problem and re-filled the refrigerant immediately to keep my house cool during the hottest time of the year … where else are you going to find someone so considerate to put the needs of their clients ahead of their own, amazing! This past Thanksgiving, we awoke to find our tankless hot water heater was not working. We called the installer, however they were less than helpful and refused to come and repair it. After calling a number of companies, I eventually found CoreTemp who was very attentive and quickly came and diagnosed the problem. Apparently the unit had been installed incorrectly, resulting in a lot of internal damage. It looked like we might have to replace it, however CoreTemp managed to get it working again! Fantastic service. HIGHLY recommend.

Sorry for the delay in posting but I was very pleased with the service, promptness and quality of work performed by this company in August 2010. I am pleased with the performance of the equipment so far and having spent part of last winter in the UK with no central heating will be much happier and warmer this year.
