Very happy with the service and work provided by Accu-Star. After some heavy rain in the beginning of January found a bit of water on the floor in the basement coming from behind a finished wall with shelving. Pulling the shelving and baseboard away showed about 4 feet of mold and based on the favourable Homestars reviews contacted Accu-Star who were able to schedule a visit for a couple of days later. Nev was very knowledgable and professional and was able to quickly point out the extent of the water problem behind the drywall. Contracted them to remove all the mold which they could schedule a few days later. Steve and his partner were again very knowledgable and professional, removed all the mold and enough of the drywall to reveal a large basement wall crack, mold area was then treated with the FiberLock coating. The area they worked in was left very clean and the drywall cuts were very clean and neat even leaving a strip of vapour barrier to make the patch easier. Based on the good impression Nev made with his first visit didn't get any other quotes but after seeing the work they did and the containment area they set up thought the cost was very reasonable.

Nev came out to our newly purchased home and provided very helpful advice about how to deal with the asbestos wrapping some of the pipes. We really appreciated that he didn't use any scare tactics and actually suggested we only remove the asbestos in the areas where additional work was to be done. He was amazingly helpful with providing guidance around how to deal with several other issues as well. Great company! I highly recommend them.

We called accu-star to confirm if we had asbestos pipe insulation in our basement as our home inspector had said that there was a Chance that there was asbestos insulation and asbestos ceiling tile. The inspector was very informative and confrimed that asbestos was present and gave us a very competive quote. The work was done on time and on budget. I would highly recommend accu-star.

We bought our 75 year old house knowing that it had asbestos. We call a few companies and picked Accu-star for the competitive pricing and there knowledge. They removed the kitchen tiles and the insulation around the pipes in the basement. We would highly recommend Nev and his team.

Nev and his team were friendly, professional, on time and on budget. You can't ask more from your contractor. I called Nev to do testing of the plaster ceiling in my basement. I was disappointed, but not surprised when one of the samples came back positive for asbestos. We needed the plaster removed and since it contained asbestos, it needed to be done right. Nev was quick to get back to me with a quote to remove the plaster and an asbestos wrapped duct. When a similar quote from another company came in at a slightly lower price, he was happy to beat the lower price of another quote. While I hope that I won't need Nev's services (mold or asbestos remediation) again, I would gladly recommend Accu-Star Environmental to anyone who needs those services. Thank you Nev. We are planning some renovations in our house and called Accu-Star for asbestos assessment before starting any work. We were very pleased with our experience with Accu-Star, and if you need a company to assess your home for asbestos or mold, we defnitely recommend them. When they arrive at your home, they assess every area that you ask and suggest looking at other areas that you might not have thought of. All that is free of charge. For obvious presence of asbestos, they will recommend a removal plan immediately and will not waste your money for tests to confirm it is asbestos. If they are not sure, like it was the case for us, they will take samples, test and send you the result within 24h. We are most pleased with the time they took to educate us on asbestos.

We had some flooding in the basement earlier this year and started to notice mould near the back of the house. We looked up a few companies on Homestars and called two companies to take a look and provide estimates. In the end, we went with Accu-Star. Nev was thorough and detailed in his explanations and also willing to provide different pricing options. The work was done efficiently and we haven't had any mould problems since the treatment was done a few months ago.
