Nev and his team were fantastic… true professionals. Upon initial contact Nev was knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to deal with. After investigating my issue and he sat down and made sure I understood the whole process for the job. They accommodated a quick turnaround and also recommended some things to fix to prevent this from happening again ( i.e. installing a proper vent in the cold cellar). Nev even came back a few days later to look over the job site to ensure everything was good. I would most definitely recommend Nev and his team to anyone. Thanks Accu-Star!

Nev Budhwa was excellent; a true professional on all accounts and an expert on mold and water problems. After a huge storm in September 2011 we had water runoff go right under the basement door into the basement and we also discovered 2 older foundation leaks that also left water in the basement. We needed a plan for solving the water drainage problem, fixing the foundation leaks, for completing a mold analysis and doing the cleanup and repairs. Nev completely an excellent report for us with a moisture analysis behind the walls, pictures, recommendations, identification of problem areas. He also had great connections to reputable contractors for dealing with the multiple issues we had. I called upon him constantly during the process with many questions and he always had the answers and was in contact quickly. My wife and I would highly recommend him for any issues with water problems, cleanup or mold analysis.

Accu-Star performed above-and-beyond what can be expected! Recently, on a really hot day, when our screen door was left open and our dog scared off a wondering skunk, it was Nev and his crew who came to our rescue. Accu-Star not only removed the horrible skunk smell within hours from the hardwood flooring inside the screen door (for which others told us would take at least a month to disappear) but also all the other smells within our home (from pets, cooking, and gym/sports equipment). We found Nev to be very professional (hardwood floor gentle), diligent (came when promised) and meticulous (never left out a detail). I would highly recommend Nev and Accu-Star to anyone who requires a fresh smelling home. Definitely perfect for those who wish to sell their home – won’t turn any potential buyer away!

Nev and his colleagues did a great job on the mold removal in my laundry room and basement washroom. They replaced the drywall with concrete slabs, which will prevent any more mold coming in this area due to leakage. We got mold due to leakage of the washer due to a rubber pipe connector to the washer and the drain hose pipe being blocked. They did a great job of removal and reconstruction. Nev verified the mold assessment report I already had with a thermal imaging camera as well...a service that many companies charge $250 for...which he provided for free. He even checked for an air sample afterwards. They also gave advice on things that may need to be done around the house to prevent further humidity or mold problems. I would recommend them to anybody...best price and the best service.

We recently renovated a 60 year old house. Shortly after finishing we had leaks in our refinished basement that our contractor had difficulty finding. Nev from Accu-Star visited us and with his sophisticated equipment found the leaks which are now being repaired. He was extremely knowledgable and thorough and I would highly recommend him.

We contacted Accu-Star to investigate a strange smell coming out of our basemetn. Nev came to the house and did an inspection of the basement walls and tested them with his equipment. He was very knowledgable, professional and helpful. He found the problem with the basement walls and suggested solutions. He also took air samples of each floor of the house and had them tested. He provided comments on the results and suggested remediation of the issues found. He also took a walk around our property and provided advice on other issues we were having with out house. He went above and beyond what we hired him to do. I would highly recommend this company.

We *inadvertently* found water behind the vapour barrier in our basement. I called a mould testing company, but they recommended first calling Accu-Star to determine the cause. Best $300 I've spent on this house to date. Nev came to the house, on time, and went through the basement with me, explaining everything as he went. He explained that what I had found was relatively normal, but then pointed out other areas where moisture/water might be infiltrating. We then went outside and he took the time to help me identify where the problems were potentially coming from, gave me recommendations on how to fix it, and wrote it all up with photos in a follow-up report. And even though we were focused on the basement, he took a quick look at some other areas around the house and found that one of our upstairs toilets had a slow leaking gasket, which we would never have realized until it became a much bigger problem. I'd definitely recommend this company to give you the peace of mind and understanding of what's going on 'behind the scenes' of your house with totally non-destructive testing.

We suspected that we had a problem with mold growing in our attic and wanted to be sure before we started planning renovations. Nev from accustar came to our house right on time with all of his equipment. He tested the attic for mold and explained clearly to us how he did the test and how he used his equipment. He even got our young kids involved in using the heat detection device which they really enjoyed. Nev got the results of the test very quickly and told us exactly how we should deal with the mold problem. We were very happy with the level of service provided by accustar and with the education on how to avoid the mold problem in the future. Thanks Nev!

Called Accu-Star for help with a mold problem. They were very professional, knew what they were talking about and made me feel very comfortable. When we first detected mold in our bedroom closet we called Accu-Star based on their high HomeStars rating. We were definitely not disappointed. On his first visit, Nev must have spent the better part of 3 hours going through our house, inspecting every corner while uncovering and documenting every issue. He then came back on at least 3 separate occassions for equal periods of time to work with us and guide us through the remediation process. While many companies may simply do their jobs and walk away, Nev and Accu-Star provided a real service to us in the traditional sense of the word. They went above and beyond what they needed to do and we are extremely grateful.
