I would highly recommend John and his company for home inspections. John inspected a home I purchased back in April. He takes the time to explain how each aspect of a home works such as shut off valves, furnaces etc. He is very thorough, detailed and knowledgeable. Not only does he point out potential issues, he will advise the criticalness of each. The report provided after the inspection is clear and concise. John is very personable, and willing to go the extra mile to help out. I purchased the package which included the infrared camera. I would not get another inspection without this tool, it's worth every penny. It identified issues which might not have been detected by the naked eye. Thanks John!

John provided a thorough inspection and demonstrated the capabilities of the thermal camera which left us with peace of mind to proceed with our house purchase knowing that the home was in execellent condition. We could not have been more pleased to have used Steve Murphy as our home inspector when buying our first home! As we have never done this before, we searched a few companies on the internet for a company in the St.Catharines, Niagara Region area and decided to give Elite Home Inspection a try. Although we were undecided between two houses and convinced we were going to buy the first one, if it wasn’t for Steve’s thoroughness and amazing attention to detail, we would be living in a money pit. Steve recently inspected a home that we purchased in Mississauga and he did a great job. He was through, answered our many questions, was very personable and provided a detailed report at the end. He stood our from the rest because he also provided further support to our questions and queries related to the initial home inspection via email and phone. The only surprise during the inspection was finding out that checking whether the appliances were working was not part of the process. Steve explained the reasons which made sense so we (sort of) checked the appliances ourselves.

In some cases, type A personalities are best on the job! John is meticulous and goes through the house he is inspecting with a fine tooth comb. I've used his services for 2 home inspections so far, and his first one was a life saver that prevented me from buying a well hidden TOTAL DISASTER - the infrared camera John used detected full saturation behind the pretty walls in a "nicely" finished basement. John's email reports are thorough and he's always available for questions during and after the inspection. John's friendly, professional attitude and great sense of humour are definite assets to the AAA+ service package!
