Lucky you! Your research is complete! When you choose M3 Design Group for your custom-built shutters, you will be so happy you wasted no time considering those other guys. We were so happy with the high quality of his work that, about a year later, we decided to call Mike in to design custom shutters for every room in our house. WOW! It's like a brand new home. I honestly felt like Mike considered MY home to be HIS home and would offer me nothing less than a PERFECT fit and finish. Which is exactly what he delivered. In my dealings with Mike, I came away feeling like he is just a genuinely good guy. He truly appreciated our business and dealt with us fairly at every opportunity. We moved into an established home in Oakville that had no window coverings whatsoever. We considered all types, drapes, blinds, shutters and finally narrowed it down to two companies. Both gave quotes and both gave reasonable arguments for their product. Our biggest dilemma was all the oak throughout the home and on the window trims that would need to be matched. Mike convinced us to go with shutters and more importantly, with oak shutters. We were concerned with the price which was almost twice the price of the other company but once we saw them on the windows we knew we had made the right choice and the money we invested was well spent. The other company had quoted us a price for a white plastic blind that in retrospect, would have looked awful with our oak trim. I am so glad Mike took the time to really talk to us about what we were hoping to achieve with the final look. We sent him colour samples of our oak trim that were matched perfectly. Mike did a lot of running around and really had his work cut out for him cutting the frames to suit our trim. He spent many hours sweating and fitting them, all the time commenting how great the result was going to be. He was right!! Not a single person walks into our home without commenting on the shutters and how perfectly matched they are. Most people also say they have never seen oak shutters, only white and that they would never have thought they would look this good. Mike and his crew went the extra mile for us. He knew what was going to give us the best and only result we were after, gave us an outstanding price for the quality of product we received and really made our home stand out from the rest. I have always wanted window shutters installed on my living room window. Few weeks ago, I saw an add in one our community papers and decided to call the number listed. I arranged with the company to have someone come by to take measurements. I was impressed with the price but when I asked twice for testimonials, I received only 2 which did not impress me. I decided to go on the Internet to find another company and I came upon M3 Design. I called the number and spoke with Mike. I found Mike to be very pleasant during the call. I gave him window measurements and he was able to give me an estimate of how much it cost. A few days later I was still trying decide which company to go with. Mike gave me a follow-up call to see if I still wanted to install the shutters. We arranged for a time for him to come by and measure the window. He described what steps he would take and I felt very confident in him that he knew his job. The shutters were installed a few days ago( I decided to do the Kitchen window as well) and they are absolutely beautiful. As a first time home owner Mike came in and with his professional and persistent style won the job. The quality of his work is worth every penny. He was very patient with us (coming three different times) as we needed time to get a certain extender for our Anderson door locks installed. The shutters are top quality and the installation was quick and clean. The 20 windows/doors that were installed transformed our home into a hip, stylish, refreshng house. I had previously done California Shutters on my main floor and decided in February that we were going to complete our upper floor which consisted of 4 bedroom windows. Approximate size of the windows was 4 1/2 feet x 4 1/2 feet. I brought the same guy back and was quoted $2400 dollars. I had a mixed feeling about the price so I decided to seek another quote. I am a person not to write any reviews but I did not want to let Mike's efforts and hard work go unnoticed. Mike saved me well over $800 then I would have payed. Mike was very professional and approachable and most of all a very genuine guy. He is the type of guy that really treats you as a person and not someone coming into your house looking at you as a big dollar sign.
