After the freezing the weather we experienced last week my wife and I decided that it was absolutely time to do something about a few colder rooms in the house. Initially we were only planning on installing heated floors but we just did not have the time or budget for it. After contacting a few electricians on homestars, I was fortunate enough to get hold of Larry. Although it was a very short notice I was able to get a booking with him in the same week. We installed the heaters in the laundry room, basement and our the kids rooms. The work was completed without a hitch the same day. We are now sitting cozy and warm all thanks to great team work at HC Electrical Services.

I was pleased to see Larry and Ken show up at my house at 8am this morning, on time and punctual. I did a quick walk through with Larry and explained that the 3 way switch in the hallway was acting up. He did the troubleshooting and repaired the 3way switch. He also changed a faulty breaker in the panel - it was a 15 amp breaker. All of this work in less then 2 hours.

Called Larry on a recommendation of a friend and I'm glad I did. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and assisted me in dealing with Toronto Hydro, which in the end, was my responsibility anyway. I was not happy I had to replace the power line and meter base but I'm glad I called Larry. A very nice and professional guy and he does great work at competitive rates.

I called Larry after reading about him on homestars to come help with my electrical issue at me house. I had some outlets in my living room that would constantly trip. I called Larry and he was able to diagnose the problem right away. It was an easy fix for him, and a bigger relief for me because it only took him a few minutes to find and solve the issue with the outlets. Thanks Larry and all the best for the New Year!

Larry and his team did an amazing job with the service and panel upgrade. From initial contact for estimate to turning the panel on, the whole experience was outstanding. I called couple of electricians based on their good reviews on Homestars and the experience was horrible. One of the contractor with very high rating didn't even return my call, another one said they are too busy to take the job, the third one asked me to send picture to provide an estimate. Larry answered the call right away and agreed to drop by to provide an estimate. He explained what needed to be done and the whole process of getting permit from hydro, getting ESA inspection done and power disconnect/reconnect by hydro. Couple of days prior to the actual work, he called me to give reminder. On the day of the job, Larry and two crews showed up before 8 am. They started prep work prior to hydro disconnecting the power. After the power was disconnected, they started changing old panel, replaced the old power line coming to the house with new mast and meter socket. The ESA inspector came and approved the work in the form of connection authorization (required by hydro to turn the power on). Larry and his crews cleaned up the work area and took away all old panels, pipe, wire and everything. Larry paid attention to very minor details like filling up the void with spray foam created after removal of the old pipe carrying power line. He is the best contractor I have ever come across. He was very humble and courteous. I wish I could find more contractors like him. Thank you very much Larry. I appreciate your sincerity and good work. All the best!!!!

10 out of 10 doesn't do Larry justice! He and his crew were beyond amazing. One of his references refered to him as a "fishing genius" and that's truly what he is. There is nothing that he can't do, and not only that, he does everything with as little disruption as possible and always with a smile. He points out all the pros and cons of every decision. He is creative, precise, thorough, knowledgeable, responsive, reliable, friendly, and cost-effective. After completely rewiring my house and creating apartments, he passed the ESA inspection with flying colours. I had a bad experience with a previous electrician, so I was very careful in choosing a new one. After reading all the amazing reviews on HC Electrical on homestars, I also called many of his references directly. They all concurred that Larry and his team are amazing. Thank you Larry for everything you have done for us.

Larry and his team came to do a variety of small electrical jobs. He replaced a pot light, fixed some halogen lights, changed a sensor switch etc. Apart from the initial confusion over the booking, he arrived when he said he would, did a great job, and was polite and courteous!

We had a power surge, which took out the lights in a number of rooms. We called a number of electricians and Larry called back same day and then was out the same evening. He found the problem (burnt contact), fixed it, and replaced and insulated two light switches as well. Super courteous and explained everything clearly to us. Would definitely use HC again.

Larry and Shaun came to do a quick electrical job just as Larry promised. They came to wire a 3 way switch in the hallway and dinning area. I also had the guys install a switch in the living room. It just took a couple of hours and they were done. They are the best.

I was lucky enough to get a opening with Larry last week. I booked him 3 days before the work started and I was happy that he could squeeze the work in on such short notice. He was punctual on the start day. He said they will start work at 8 and he and his team arrived at my house long before then. Once Larry and I did the walk through they began working, brought in all the drop cloths and tools. Larry made sure that we were all on the same page before the work started. Once they were done installing the new pot lights the guys did a good clean up of the area in the kitchen and hallways were I had the pot lights put in. I am pleased with how everything turned out with HC Electrical Services and will call them again.
