    Basement Framing

    I have a finished basement after 6 months of hard work. When I had PTR Carpentry start the job I thought every step was going to be a breeze. I can say they were the only reliable, efficient and true to exactly what we agreed on. They also happen to do an amazing job.

    Basement Framing

    PTR Carpentry, Paul Richardson is the ultimate professional. Not only is he a master at his craft but an extremely friendly, polite, trustworthy trades-person. Our job was to completely frame a 1200 sqf basement. I contacted Paul because of the reviews I had read on HomeStars. He contacted me right away. We set up an appointment. Paul showed up to the appointment on time ready to answer all my questions. We booked a date 6 weeks away for him to complete the job. The day the job was to start the wood arrived, Paul and his assistant Martin arrived exactly when they said they would. The job was completed by 3:30 the next day. Perfect in every way. During the process I had to make a couple of small changes. Paul made adjustments to the original plans without hesitation. The project came in at the exact quote Paul had given me. When I came home from work the second day my basement was spotless. If you need any framing done, of any kind, don't hire anyone else but Paul (PTR Carpentry). Paul is the best. I would hire him back in a heartbeat. Thank you Paul and Martin. The basement looks amazing.

    2 New Dormers

    Paul and his team did an amazing job opening up the roof on our 100 year old home and adding 2 new dormers with skylights. The project was done extremely well,on time and at a great price. We also had our neighbours commenting about their politeness and professionalism. Overall, it was our best renovation experience to-date. Thanks Paul!

    Basement Framing

    We needed a basement framer after the previous contractor we hired cancelled on us. PTR came in and did a great job. They were fast, clean, pleasant and professional. You will not go wrong with these guys.

    Second floor addition

    We bought a bungalow in Leslieville with the intention of transforming the house in the two storey home. We first decided to handle all the contracting ourselves. After getting a architect friend to make some preliminary plans, we looked up a carpenter to kick start the project. We found PTR on Homestars. Based on his reviews we sent an email his way. That was the start of the best decision we ever made in regards to our project. Paul answered our email right away. I had never done this kind of project before so I had tons of questions for him. He answered ALL of them without any delay. He also immediately gave us a rough cost base don our preliminary plans. His estimate was dead on. The project started when Paul said it would. Paul took us by the hand during the entire process, and helped us make the right decisions. Paul worked with our other professionals, coordinated with our architect and inspector and never hesitated to take initiatives to help us out. Paul and his team finished the project as schedule. They did more then what we had agreed on. The total cost was dead on what he had roughly estimated plus a few more details we added along the way which he charged a minimum for. Even now, when his job is done and he got paid in full, Paul never hesitates to answer our question, recommend good help or check on us. PTR carpentry was the best decision we made. Period. I will recommend him to everyone and anyone who has carpentry needs.

    Basement Framing

    Found Paul through Homestars. Just wanted to say that the reviews were right bang right on. Paul and his team were hard working, very knowledgeable and made great recommendations on future work. They finished within time and budget. I would not hesitate to recommend them on any future work. Will definitely use them again without hesitation! AAA+++!!! Thank you Paul and Team!

    Basement Framing

    We recently had Paul and his crew come in to frame our basement. The crew was punctual, friendly and knowledgeable. Paul arranged to have materials arrive prior to commencing and finished the job in a timely manner; just as he said he would. Paul was very open and respectful of some last minute changes. We were very impressed with the finished product, we even received comments on how well the framing was done by other trades. Thank you again Paul for your hard work and dedication. Rob

    Garage Re-Roof

    Paul delivered as promised in terms of scope and quality. The job was done efficiently and priced just right. He and his worker arrived on the day he scheduled and the material delivered the day before. The job was done in one day. Other contractors cannot come close to Paul's knowledge, customer service, honesty, and professional worksmanship. Job well done!! Thank you PTR Mary & Robert

    Re-building house

    I am honoured and thrilled to be 100th to comment on the exceptional work PTR Carpentry has done for me! My home needed a lot of repairs and expert carpentry work. Initially, as many home owners are, I was nervous because of the detail and crucial attention needed to make sure my investment (and entire life savings) was rebuilt properly. Paul, the owner of PTR himself did the work and meticulously rebuilt my home with respect to the carpentry with such precision and attention to detail that the end result was perfect. When shown PTR's work to everyone and my other tradespeople, everyone is very impressed with the workmanship and beautiful results. Moreover, I trust Paul and his team, Paul is an extremely ethical and respectful person. I fully trust Paul and his team with my house and am already looking to hire PTR again for future projects. Lastly, on a more personal note, Paul is a very respectable family man and a nice person. He knows what it means to people to have a safe and beautiful home. PTR and Paul, I cannot thank you enough for taking such good care of my home. It is stunning. I will call you when my next project is ready! I would ONLY recommend PTR for any carpentry work needed and give them my highest recommendation.

    Front porch

    Paul, Jason and Marchant did an exceptional job building our front porch. They installed Trex deck boards, put on a skirt below which gave the porch nice curb appeal, they boxed out our posts for natural stone veneers, put in a door for access to storage underneath and finished it off with a trex railing. I was really impressed with Paul's problem solving skills and his abiity to see the 'big picture' of the porches design. For example, the architectural plans for the roof line and gable over the porch were not going to allow for much natural light in the master bedroom which is located over top of the porch so Paul suggested a few alterations and we were very happy he did. If you are looking for a top notch framer who is very reliable, hard working, affordable, who is a great communicator and who has a super team of carpenters then Paul Richardson and PTR carpentry is your best bet. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Thanks so much you guys for making our front porch beautiful. We get lots of compliments and it is so nice to sit out there and relax.
