Earlier this year we hired Trentco to handle the basement renovation of our 90-year-old house, including underpinning to give us more height. We had used Trent for earlier work on our home, and after obtaining several quotes we decided to move forward with him for a number of reasons: we were pleased with his previous work, but also Trentco was able to handle the whole renovation from start to finish, which kept pricing competitive and also simplified the process for us. Trent and his crew were very friendly and respectful of our home, as well as considerate of our neighbours. They worked every day, making sure to tidy up before leaving, and were committed to staying on schedule. Trent and his staff always made time to answer any questions we had, and offered opinions when asked. Most importantly, Trent and his crew did a great job on our basement and we love it! We now have all this additional living space, and we don’t have to duck our heads anymore. We would definitely use Trentco again, and would recommend them to anyone looking to turn their old, dark basement into a beautiful and practical living space.

I was looking for a contractor to renovate our laundry/bathroom (2-3 weeks of work) and asked for 3 different estimates. I was impressed by Trent's professionalism on the first meeting and appreciated his transparency about realistic timelines and costs. Trent and everyone in his crew were very considerate, knowledgeable and thorough. We are extremely satisfied with the result and with the overall experience. Would definitely hire again. Highly recommended.

You want Trent running your project. Really. We will have only Trent back to fix up more of our old house. Trent is: SKILLED, professional, personable, conscientious, orderly, experienced, tidy, imaginative and a really nice guy,… and his guys are really nice guys. They even liked my big, giddy dog. His quote was fair, with all the appropriate warnings of working in an old house. Hidden problems (galvanized pipes, unknown knob and tube, mold!) were fully explained and talked out. We always had the option to forego his advice, which we always took. At no point did we ever feel overcharged or hood-winked. We always felt that OUR long term satisfaction came first. He overhauled our kitchen, inserted a new laundry area, installed new appliances with new plumbing, installed new gas, changed out windows and doors, added a deck, made it disabled-friendly and worked with the city to keep it to code. Also, he took on the overwhelming task of getting the permits, working with architects, electricians and inspectors. Trent earns his good reputation in everything he does. I wish I could figure out how the get the photos off my phone so you could see, I'll bet he comes to fix this too!

Couldn't be happier. Purchased a condo that hadn't had any work done to it in about 25 years. Trent and his team replaced all the old carpet with wood flooring, then totally gutted our kitchen including removing a couple of walls, and installed new cabinets, countertops, lighting, and plumbing. Trent had great suggestions in areas where we weren't sure what to do but was happy to do what we wanted when we were sure. He also was completely patient with me when I got super picky (I tend to be a bit anal) and did everything he could to make me happy. There was nothing these guys couldn't do! We still have two bathrooms to renovate and will definitely be using Trentco. (Sorry pic I'm attaching is a bit dark - took it on my phone.)

Trent is highly professional, listens to all concerns and will work with you to get your project complete. He completed a multi-story rear extension on my home and a new back deck/yard. I have to say, it was pretty much stress-free for me, as he came daily bright and early, kept the worksite tidy, communicated what was to be done, and completed the project within the timelines he committed to. Trent has great attention to detail and is honest; he even corrected some errors here and there that were made in the work that I hadn’t even noticed. He also fixed unexpected problems that came up during the project, including a leaky roof. Trent has very strong customer service orientation; he was always available by phone to answer any questions/concerns, or reassure me that things were going as they should. He also interacted positively with my neighbours and addressed their questions/concerns directly. Trent is a super nice guy and I felt completely comfortable having him in my home. He displayed utmost professionalism, and never commented or complained once despite having to work amongst all my clutter. Trent, thank you to you and your crew for all your hard work and for building the dream spaces I always wanted. Looking forward to future projects with you!

Trent did such a great job on our front porch we asked him to come back and take a look at our back deck, where the deck boards were rotting away. In typical Trent fashion, he listened intently to our request, and then not only gave us a quote on that but provided other options which he felt would be good to consider. His attention to detail was wonderful, and even proposed a garbage chute in the new deck to make taking out the trash much more conviennt, and free up a bunch of space in the shed! He also took the time to point out some major errors/oversights in the past owners' design, and was able to correct them in a timely, cost efficient manner. As always Trent you're a pleasure to work with and we look forward to our next project together.

Professional, thoughtful, deligent, are three of some of the words I would describe Trent and his team. We were new to the renovation world, and quite wary of the process and what could possibly go wrong. After reviewing a number of different professionals Trent and his down to earth, no nonsense approach was what we needed. He helped guided us on certain aspects when needed, and fallowed our direction. Even when we changed course 24hrs before starting he simply went with the flow. He completed enhancements to our kitchen with a new backsplash, resetting our cabnets, constructed a new island and all new stone counter tops. He also painted. We have received nothing but glowing compliments. The basement before the renovation was an area we never spent time in. With a growing family, we needed an area for the family that was bright, and functional. Again, he and his team surpassed our expectations. I would highly recommend Trent, and would be hard pressed to consider anyone else to help us on our next project.

We initially hired Trent and his team (Jimmy & George) to renovate our bathroom and they did such excellent work that we asked them to make us custom closets and vault our bedroom ceiling. Trentco's prices are fair and the quality of their work is second to none. We live in an hundred-year-old semi, with floors and walls that are severely sloped, but the team was quick to problem-solve unexpected surprises. Trent, Jimmy, and George all have excellent attention to detail and take great pride in their work and it is evident in the finished product. Trent, Jimmy, and George refuse to cut corners and insist on having their work to code and done right the first time. Trentco started on time, finished on time, and stayed on budget. Trent was always available by phone to answer questions, brainstorm new ideas, and incorporate design changes. We felt so comfortable with Trentco that we went away on vacation and knew we were in good hands. We will be contacting them in the near-future with our next reno project

We had our front porch completely rebuilt from scratch, including the installation of a brick post. The deck is now structurally sound and quality of work is very good. The rail system we chose is more complicated than the standard rail and it was executed nicely. The crew was friendly and kept the worksite clean. Final product is great, improving our home's curb appeal tremendously. The paint job requires a few touch ups but Trent has committed to coming back when the weather warms up to ensure everything looks it's best! Clearly, He and his crew want the end client to be fully satisfied with their work.

We had several contractors come by and quote us but Trent by far was the best in terms of responsiveness, well reviewed, reasonable cost and professionalism. We had a short deadline and he managed to fit us in. Even though the scope and breadth of the project was in flux, Trent rolled with the punches and his team was easily able to pivot to our needs (and our neighbours) constantly changing requirements. In the end, we got a fantastic deck and great fences (separately invoiced for neighbours to share cost). Quality of the work was fantastic. We had a small issue with waterflow off the deck roof, and even though the project was long done, Trent came back to fix the problem no questions asked. I highly recommend and would use Trentco again in a heartbeat.
