Great company. Looked for a cheaper alternative over Home Depot, and went with Ecowoods. Francisco is incredibly helpful and friendly, his crew is punctual and productive, and the installation was finished within a day (Home Depot estimated the job would take five days). All in all, highly recommended.

Due to project delays on preparing our rental unit for lease, we were referred to Francisco through another contractor doing work for us. Francisco was punctual and showed up the next morning to provide a quote and suggestive samples. His onsite staff were professional, courteous, and thorough in minimizing dust and cleanup of the area. At the end of the project, they made a 66 year old lath floor look like it was newly installed. The work was professionally done and the cost extremely reasonable. I would definitely recommend and use them for future work.

Francisco came out promptly for a quote and arrived on time. We chose not to get other quotes from other companies due to our favourable meeting. We did change the scope of work due to some renovation changes, but that did not hinder our going forward. The job took a crew of men to strip/sand the flooring and then lots of time spent on the finishing details (filling in cracks, doing edges, stairs etc. He also stained a few stairs so we could determine stain colour as we found it hard to choose from little samples. We are thrilled with our revitalized floors. There was a LOT of dust and debris so we are happy we chose to have this done prior to moving in (but the crew did do a good job of keeping everything as tidy as possible). Would definitely recommend and hire again if there was opportunity to do so.

We are extremely pleased with the work that Francisco and his crew did. He and his crew arrived on the day arranged, did the work efficiently and cleanly and left the area spotless. Where new hardwood had to be threaded in to meet old the work is perfect.

From the getgo I found Francisco to be professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Plus, his prices are totally reasonable. He and his awesome crew installed new hardwood flooring in my Glen Abbey home and matched it perfectly to the old floor, but restaining the entire floor. It was totally perfect in my opinion. I liked his work so much, that I referred him to my sister and my friend...and I will continue to refer him. Not the cheapest, not the most expensive. They show up on time, ready to work. Francisco was particularily good about the installation and invited me to meet with him prior to review colours and woods. Full marks!

Years ago, professional floor restorers told me the wooden floors in my old house couldn’t be sanded. After more than 18 years of cat hairballs (including 2 with an old incontinent cat), my floors were a mess. I opted to paint them, but needed to sand the varnish off. After taking weeks to sand one end of the room (with my furniture packed into the other end), I called Francisco of Ecowoods to see if he would help by applying the water-based polyurethane (which I was afraid to do). He didn’t charge for the estimate, and his price was so reasonable, I opted for 2 coats. On the specified morning, he arrived on time, did the job in a jiffy (and brought his own product). He even cleaned up as he went along. He also gave me such a reasonable quote to sand and coat the other part of the room, that I agreed immediately. Two weeks later (after the furniture was shifted into the “done” part of the room), he again arrived on time and began to remove the top varnish layer. Even though this part of the job took longer than he imagined, he honored his original quote (even though I offered to pay more for a job well done). I’m so pleased with my floors now. I would recommend Francisco absolutely. A 10 – hands down!

Through a friend I very recently had my condo hardwood floors (which had been covered by broadloom for 25 yrs) sanded and stained. Francesco and his team did a fabulous job - going well above and beyond the call of duty. The best sign of good workmanship is the end result and they delivered! Would highly recommend them.

AMAZING work done by Francesco and his crew. Francesco helped us match the stain for our old floors to new hardwood that we were installing upstairs. A stickler for quality and good work, Francesco recommended re-sanding and re-staining the floors after the stain did not take as expected - at no additional cost to us. We get compliments on our floors from everyone. Would not hesitate to recommend Francesco to anyone looking for someone to refinish their floors!

Francisco has been terrific to work with. He is staining and refinishing our upstairs floor and stair railings to match our first floor. He and his crew arrive on time and take care to keep the work area clean. We couldn't be happier with Francisco and his team and would happily recommend them to others.
