Francisco did a very thorough assessment of the floors in my older condo. He described the type of flooring, and the impact of refinishing them in some detail. I appreciated this attention to detail, which also increased my confidence in his ability to do a good job. Which he did. The floors are beautiful -- they look brand new.

Francisco and his team did an amazing job refinishing the wood floors on the second floor of our house as well as our stairway. Our house is 102 years old and the wood floors, which are original, were in very poor condition but they managed to make the floors look incredible. I couldn't believe it when I saw them. After months of renovations, finally, we had a happy moment! They also repaired the floors in certain spots where wood had rotted or walls had been removed. It is difficult to see where the repairs are. Everything blends seamlessly. They are incredibly fastidious and have exceptionally high standards for their work. They came in on weekends - including a long weekend - to get the job done. They also came by several times to apply an additional coat of stain. They are very customer-oriented, polite, professional, and lovely to work with.

Recently we have completed a major renovation to our home which involved the addition of new oak railing and sanding/staining of all stair treads. We had about six or seven stair/railing contractors come through the house. You learn very quickly about some who are too eager to take the money and run. Francisco from Ecowoods Inc. was my second last to visit our home of this group of stair contractors. I had a list of questions which Francisco had answered without too much difficulty. It is also important to mention that our stairs have never seen any improvement since the house was built but after speaking to Francisco, I had no reservation that Ecowoods would be up to the job. Both my wife and I are more than satisfied with the result of our new railing and the stairs. To Francisco, Franco and the rest of the crew from Ecowoods, thank you very much for the job well done.

We went through a major reno where the main floor was gutted. Was advised to rip up entire flooring on main floor including the old solid hardwood. Same was told to us by our designer and the contractors flooring guy. We wanted additional quotes and opinions as myself and my wife loved the old flooring especially since it had an exotic wood border and multiple width planks (our contractor and designer didn't tell us to get that type of flooring done is a lot more expensive). Francisco came in and told us to leave the flooring in some of the rooms and he would be able to add new flooring everywhere else and it will all look new. Him and his team did an amazing job and if we ever need any flooring again, we'll be calling him only as I see no reason to try anyone else. He's also been very helpful for minor changes and fixes for items needed after he completed his job. I will post pictures later.

Ecowoods was recommended to us by our contractor replacing our pickets and posts for the stairs. We had a few other quotes to refinish our stairs, but none of them wanted to sand and stain the stringers and risers to match the stairs. All the others wanted to take the easy way out and just paint the risers and stringers white or dark, and not match the stain on the stairs which is what we wanted. We are very pleased with the work that Fracisco and his crew did for us. Due to other work being done in the house, we had to ask him to come twice (1 month apart), and coordinate with our other contractors. He got everything done as promised and as scheduled, and was very professional and pleasant to deal with. Even my picky husband was impressed with his work. I also appreciated the effort he made to contain the dust and odour. Thank you Francisco! We get so many compliments from our friends who walk into the house. We highly recommend Ecowoods, go with Francisco if you want to get the job done right and not compromise the look that you want!

Francisco and his crew, including his son, did a fantastic job. We have some hundred-year-old pine floors, several of which were painted with very old oxblood paint. They never looked good, but Francisco sanded, stained and coated them, and now they look fantastic. He used a neutral oil-based stain and several coats of polyurethane coating, which he had to apply by hand because there were largish gaps between the floorboards. He's clearly a perfectionist, and there were no little bits of paint missed along the edges and so on. The job included a landing and a flight of stairs. I was surprised that he was able to easily handle the rounded lips of the stairs, and absolutely amazed that he was able to get in between the bannister support legs, which are not even two inches apart. I wish I had been able to see how he did that, but the area was sealed off with plastic sheeting to contain the dust. He and his crew showed up when they said they would, and worked efficiently until the job was done. It took about four days (the sanding took two days). His price was quite reasonable, probably because as an owner-operator, he did some of the work himself and we weren't paying extra to deal with a separate sales staff. I would recommend him to anybody. We plan on having him back to do a couple more floors that couldn't be done at the time.

I was very pleased with the work Ecowoods floors did in installing new wood floors in my home. They took out the existing flooring (wall to wall carpet), installed a (necessary) new subfloor, and installed and finished the hardwood floors we selected. It was an involved project as it turned out, but Francisco and his staff were consistently professional, helpful and responsive. I liked the fact that my husband and I were able to view samples in a showroom and talk through several different options for flooring in a relaxed setting with Francisco. His significant experience in the field certainly was evident in all of our interactions. I'd certainly recommend Ecowoods Floors to others, and would also use them again for future projects (such as future refinishing of our new floors). We couldn't be happier with the finished product.

Francisco did a great job for us. It was a very last minute sort of thing and we had a super tight timeline to hit for our house sale. He was recommended by another contractor who was re-treading and redoing the pickets for our stairs. Francisco hit it out of the park, matching our hardwood flooring perfectly and even coming first thing one Sunday AM to make sure we got the job done on target. Couldn't have asked for better.

We recently purchased a condo that had hardwood flooring in the main area but carpeting in the two bedrooms. We hired Francisco to remove the carpeting, lay new hardwood flooring in the two bedrooms, and refinish all of the flooring in the unit to look consistent. Francisco was very responsive with emails and he gave us a timely quote as our project was time sensitive. There were two small hiccups. The first was that our condo board requires that any construction stop after 6:00pm. We came to visit our unit after this time and found that Francisco's team was still working. However, a call to Francisco immediately resolved this issue. The second was that Francisco made a mistake on the depth of the hardwood needed which resulted in having to return the purchased hardwood and buying the right depth. This added $$ onto the initial quote. However, Francisco was deeply apologetic and split the difference with us. We highly recommend him as it is evident that he is passionate about customer service and cares about his company's reputation. Thank you for the great service.

Francisco is a pleasure to work with. He is professional, accurate and pays attention to every detail. He went out of his way on several occasions to make sure our final project will be perfect. His pricing is more than fair for the job he does. He adds extra coats of finish coating to make sure it looks perfect, where the several companies I called do not. I would highly recommend Ecowoods inc. as this is the second time I have used them to finish my stairs, both in new homes.
