Umbrella were very professional. The replacement of sewage pipes was tricky for us in that the basement was already ostensibly "finished" - so we had been rather sad about the prospect of drilling up tiles and removing the flooring in the "newly renovated" house we had bought only the month before. Vlad's team did a great job installing the pipes through just a few strategically placed holes. They worked very hard and were finished quite quickly. (3 or 4 days). They also had to remove patio stone on the outside and this was replaced as well as we could have expected. We would certainly use them again.

I was really satisfied with the work that was recently done at my house by Umbrella. From the initial estimate, to the scheduling, to the work itself, the Umbrella staff were on time, polite, clean, and capable. Vlad made sure to inform me in detail about all of the possible options, including the various prices, so I felt comfortable with the decisions I made. My basement already feels less musty! I would definitely recommend Umbrella for waterproofing jobs.

We received 3 quotes and Umbrella was the most reasonable. They also were the most knowledgeable. Their assessment and recommendation was spot on to resolve the basement leak. They also provide a 25 year warranty.

Vlad (co-owner) was professional, thorough and very detailed with his assessment of our water damage. He clearly outlined and quoted potential work, then started by using humidity sensors and camera scoping to determine next steps. The 2 others quotes I had involved digging inside the house to waterproof, but Vlad recommended outside work so our stone would not continue to get wet and deteriorate. Not only did Vlad's 4 workmen toil non stop for 3 days in 38 degree humidity, they dug down by hand to the foundation in between our houses in less than 3 feet width! This is how we knew Vlad was not just fulfilling the job, he was getting it done right. The men worked so hard. Supporting Vlad is Bohdana in the office. She is incredible, right on top of the jobs, working all hours of the day/weekends, making sure I was kept informed and happy. Regardless of her extraordinary work hours, Bohdana was always pleasant, kind and respectful. Admirable for someone working around the clock during these beautiful summer months. I cannot say enough about how impressed we are with this team. Will definitely use Umbrella again for any relevant work to be done here. Having trouble loading photos, will try again.

Was fantastic working with them. They are knowledgeable and did the work as they said they would. After meeting several companies I liked them the most. Their pricing is reasonable, and comes with a 20 year warranty, that’s why they complete the work accurately! They did waterproofing work around our house and installed a clean out. Vlad was patient and explained everything thoroughly. The only thing is we’re still waiting to get the documents from them to submit to the City, we’re patiently waiting still, 1.5 months after the work was done.

I called Umbrella Waterproofing on a Saturday afternoon to help with a recurring basement drain clog issue. Bogdana from dispatch was helpful in first assessing the situation, and sent Vlad for an in-person consult the same afternoon. It was clear that Vlad was knowledgeable on the topic, but was also very upfront with his recommended approach and quote. After surveying the drains with a scope, he noted a quick fix solution to get the drain unclogged, but also recommended a long-term fix that would get to the heart of the problem. He was not pushy, but laid out the options and costs clearly. I ended up going with the long-term fix as well, which involved his team coming back for a second day to remove the tiling and the full replacement of the drain system in the laundry room. The team was able to get what seemed like a rather involved job within 6 hours. I would not hesitate to recommend Vlad and his team for similar issues to others.

Vlad and his crew did an excellent job with our basement waterproofing and plumbing work. He explained everything very thoroughly and the crew were total professionals, from start to finish. We had a couple of unexpected finds once the job got started (old home) as well as a few things we wanted to add on as far as upgrades and they were able to do exactly what we wanted, and at a good cost point. I highly recommend them.

This is the second time I'm using Vlad and his crew. They are very knowledgeable and willing to help. All my questions were answered with full explanations and they truly know what they are talking about! The work they did was impeccable and everything was cleaned up after. I have no issues choosing Vlad and his crew should I need them again.

We had Vlad come over to give us a quote and let us know what his company would do to ensure a clean, dry basement. His quote was in line with what we had received from other companies, but he took extra time to answer every question, provide reassurance, and map out possible scenarios. He gave us three options for the work and provided excellent communication and potential cost breakdown for if unforeseen problems arose. The company kept open lines of communication throughout and the work (waterproofing approx 41 ft to the back of the house) was done in a very timely manner. Our yard was put back exactly as it was found with no damage- every precaution was made even with promises to return in the spring if the ground hadn’t settled the way it was anticipated. Vlad was very patient and understanding of our concerns and extremely helpful- we appreciate everything he and the company did for us!

Had several quotes to fix an annoying leak in our foundation that happens during heavy downpours of 20+ MM of rainfall. Called several companies of which only 4 actually came out an gave me a quote. Vlad came at the appointment time and used his moisture meter and was one of the only people to move furniture and items around to try and find a leak from the inside or detect where water was pooling. My basement is mostly finished so the leak was suspected to be behind one of the finished walls based on what the moisture meter was indicating and how the water was travelling. Vlad explained what he suspected was happening and gave me several options and two quotes based on different lengths of repairs. We decided exterior waterproofing was the best solution and signed to go ahead. Initial dig was delayed because of Onemark/Promark being greatly delayed in marking the utilities but as soon as that was done they came on the Friday and finished the job late Saturday. They did a great job of protecting the area and left it completely clean as if they had never dug before. Would highly recommend Vlad and Bodhana from Umbrella Waterproofers for any jobs.
