    Reseal House Foudation

    The other a friend of mine said his basement was leaking and if I knew any body that could do a great job. So I gave them a name of Umbrella Waterproofing that I used in January of 2014 just after that ice storm we had in Ontario. My house is 58 years old and I started getting water in my basement, It was the original foundation that needed to be resealed. Vlad Bohdana came out with his helper and started digging all around down to foundation. He was very friendly and explained the process to us. After trench was dug they put some coating on wall to seal bricks then after a rubberized sheet all around for extra protection, then filled in hole. Because it was January and ground was frozen. I had to wait till may to reinstall patio walkway in front of house, which they did and was good as new. I was very happy with work they did and was give a 25 year warranty on work.     Sump Pump and Pit Replacement

    We have a 1890s home in Cabbagetown with probably the original sump pit and a decades old worn out pump. Umbrella filled the 5 foot deep pit with gravel. Put in a proper sealed sump tank and new sump pump and topped it all in with concrete. This was done on a Saturday. And all extremely professionally. I cannot say how nice it is to deal with such true professionals from start to finish. Everyone extremely nice and courteous. Vlad, Bohdana and his workers were great. Cannot recommend them highly enough. They really know what they're doing.

    Complete Basement Transformation

    Underpinning a 100 year old Toronto home from 5’6” to 8’ ceilings is a daunting project for any contractor. Our project consisted of underpinning, waterproofing, sump pump and sewage ejector installation, increasing our city water service to 3/4” copper piping, as well as additional plumbing work. With any major project we undertake, we conduct extensive due diligence. For this particular project, we obtained no less than seven complete job proposals. Vlad and Bohdana, of Umbrella, set the tone right from our very first interaction all the way through to the end of the job and many follow up discussions thereafter. Umbrella’s quotation was clear and complete with Vlad answering many questions, providing references and recommending a superb structural design firm. Work started on time and the actual project duration was less than their competitors said the project would take. Umbrella’s trades people were clean, considerate and responsive and Vlad and Bohdana never hesitated to answer the phone or promptly return messages to provide status updates or take instructions. Umbrella’s work passed all city inspections and when the city had questions on one inspection, Vlad promptly provided all required clarifications.     waterproofing

    Vlad, Bohdana and his workers were fantastic. They answered all of our questions and were very professional. Our waterproofing wasnn't a small job and they finished it flawlessly and in 3 days! We are so happy with everything and would use them again. Definitely a company we would recommend.

    Basement Waterproofing

    I had my basement done seven years ago and it is still bone dry today. We are now selling our home. So, I recently called Vlad and Bodhana to get the warranty transferred and I was reminded of how attentive and helpful they were. I highly recommend this company.

    Exterior water proofing

    The work was done nearly 3 years ago and the workmanship and quality was excellent. This was a large and extensive project, and once it was done, the value of the wok could be realized with a dry basement. The crew was fast and professional in getting the job done. Vladimir is a knowledgeable and trustworthy individual always thriving to meet customer's expectations. As being very picky and detailed oriented, Vlad and team did and excellent job of exceeding my expectations.

    Drain repair in North York

    Emergency blocked sewer drain repair; waterproofing and window well

    I live in Ottawa. Yet I have several properties in Toronto. It can be a challenge to trust any contractor when it comes to these properties while I am all the way in capital city. The first time I dealt with Vlad from umbrella waterproofing was in 2013. The sewer drain at one of the rentals backed up that year due to sime tree roots. I found this company online and after contacting it amongst several trades Umbrella was a clear choice for me. Then in 2014 my other house in Toronto needed some exterior waterproofing and a window well repair. I called umbrella again. They did not disappoint this time either. Since, I keep Vlad's number on my speed dial for all plumbing related emergencies be it blocked drain, clogged toilet, leaky foundation or water in the basement. I know I can trust this contractor - Vlad (and surely the team) as he has not let me down.

    Undergeround drain repair and back water valve installation

    Dear Vlad and the team, Thank you very much for your hard work and outstanding professionalism. I am very happy to report that our home has been free of any main drain back ups or sewer smell since your team installed the back water valve and replaced a section of the main drain in August. To anyone reading this or dealing with a simular problem we have had sparatic toilet and drain back ups for the last year. We have had it snaked each time by different contractors until one day our neighbour told us that Vlad from Umbrella (whom he used as well) would help us resolve drain issue for good. After Vlad came out to our property and checked the drain with the camera equipment he gave us a few options from the low budget one to a complete drain replacement to consider. His recommendations were excellent and very helpful. A few stays later we called umbrella back to hire them for the job. As a result we got the drain problem resolved by umbrella's team, and a generous subsidy from the city of Toronto for the back water valve also installed by umbrella. Lots of praise again to everyone from umbrella who assisted us with our problem. Have a successful year of 2017

    Waterproofing - amazing job!

    I couldn't possibly be happier with the work that Vlad and the team at Umbrella Waterproofing did. Vlad came in and gave us a clear, easy-to-understand assessment of the issues we were facing, and a very competitive price quote. Bohdana's communications were top-notch and she was extremely pleasant and responsive to every question I had regarding scheduling, payment, and what we needed to do on our end. The team that did the work, what a great group of guys! They worked hard through poor conditions and never complained once. They did a terrific job, cleaned everything up perfectly and were very respectful of our property. I would happily recommend Umbrella Waterproofing to anyone looking for any waterproofing or plumbing work. They were absolutely great to us. Vlad and Bohdana are so incredibly nice.
