WARNING! GRAPHIC EXPLANATION OF DUCT WORK FILTH FOLLOWS. DO NOT SHARE THIS AT THE DINNER TABLE. I am seeing an increasing number of homeowners becoming increasingly aware of the importance of duct cleaning and the positive impact it has on the health of family members. What so many folks are unaware of is the fact that dust in return ductwork is blown back, contaminating the air in the home. How? It is generally believed that supply vents only "push" warm/cool air, and return vents, draw air back/downward toward the furnace. This is not the case. When the furnace/AC shuts down, upon reaching the set temperature, a small volume of supply air doesn't stop dead; it drops back down into the furnace, forcing air back upward through the return, thereby pushing accumulations of dust back into the air. All air breathing household members get to enjoy inhaling this pollutant, which is composed mostly of dead human skin cells, dust mites, dust mite poop, and drywall dust. If this doesn't turn your crank, then call Canaduct Cleaning right away (personally, the idea of dust mite fecal pellets and dead skin particles coating my lungs really make my stomach turn). Of course, while we're on the topic: buffalos never made it over the Bering Ice Bridge during the previous ice age about 10,000 years ago, but their cousins Bison, did. First Nations hunted Bison, not buffalo. Buffalo have NEVER run wild in North America. Our schoolbooks need to be rewritten, about this subject and so many others. I could carry on about so many untruths being taught in Canadian schools, but I digress. History lesson complete. Thanks so much Allan.
