Getting tired of losing a few shingles with builder installed roof after each big storm over the last few years, our neighbor and we decided to get a new roof for our respective houses this Summer. Cutting Edge was came highly recommended by a friend who learned that we were in the market. When I called Cutting Edge, I was immediately advised that - I should get at least 3 quotes from reputable companies before deciding. - Either Rob (owner) or Jimmy (sr. site supervisor) would come out to do the free estimate. We got 7 quotes altogether, from reputable companies that we came to know through advertising or through referral. Cutting Edge was not the lowest bidder. But their quote included the most value for the money: Owens Corning Duration (premium) materials, 6 feet of ice-and-water shield underlayment, full coverage of the rest of the roof deck with water proof synthetic underlayment, thicker metal flashing for the valleys, etc. They were also the only company who sent an installer - Jimmy - climbing up the roof to do a through inspection, showed us pictures he took, and answered all of our questions. All the other companies sent Sales People with drones to do the estimate. He also confirmed that both Rob and him would be part of the working crew as they do for every job they sign. Coming installation time, the crew was very professional, well organized. And both Rob and Jimmy were on the roof working as they promised. They were efficient, but did not rush the job, or overlook any details. They estimated up front that the job would take one and half days for each house. So on the first day, they would only remove enough shingle that they could finish replacing, and left the rest intact. We had full day of rain in the middle of the job. Their approach ensured that everything was water tight and properly protected even when they had to pause for a day due to rain. Once the job finished, they returned everything to the original state - landscaping lights, basketball net, patio items, etc., and thoroughly cleaned up everything. They also helped me install de-icing cable I purchased from HomeDepot on the roof as a courtesy. Others may be doing this as a job. But I see these people are so passionate about the trade and really enjoy what they do. I will not have any hesitation recommending Cutting Edge to anyone for roofing work.

After the big storm on May 21, 2022 we lost a good portion of the shingles on our roof. Rod and his team came and put underlayment on the roof, at not cost, to stop further water from leaking into our home until they could come by and re-do the whole thing. They were the only roofing team that suggested the Owens Corning (Duration shingles) roofing system/shingles which we had found great reviews on ourselves. All the other roofers quoting were pushing the BP Mystique shingles which our research showed to be their poorest quality but most economical shingle. Rod confirmed they use all Owens Corning pieces (underlayment, ice sheet, etc.) which was important to us as that qualifies us for the Owen Corning extended warranty tiers. Very happy with how everything went with the entire process and would highly recommend Rod and his team.

Great job by Rob, Jimmy and the other guys. Rob came to repair my roof quickly after a couple of tiles blew off during a storm in the Fall. He gave me a quote for the re-tiling which he did this Spring. They re-tiled the whole roof and my garage in one day and cleaned up everything afterward. Jimmy provided photos of the whole process. Great job and pleasant to work with.

The Cutting Edge Roofing Team is professional and knowledgeable. Too many fly-by-night roofing companies are popping up and Cutting Edge is NOT one of those. Their team has many years of experience and it shows with their workmanship. Would definitely recommend Cutting Edge!

We had our upper roof replaced by Cutting Edge Roofing. This is the second time we used their services. They did an excellent job on the lower roof the first time. This time was no different. Robert, Jimmy and the rest of the crew again did a great job. From the initial phone call, inspection, written estimate with photos, workmanship to final cleanup, all were done in a professional manner, leaving us very happy with our new roof. I highly recommend Cutting Edge Roofing.

We contacted The Cutting Edge Roofing after we discovered two shingles in our backyard which we thought came from our roof. Robert came out to our property and inspected our roof. Much to our relief, the shingles were not from our roof, but from our neighbour next to us. Robert was very professional and fast, and did not even charge us for the service call. Although we didn't require work, whenever we do need roofing services, we will definitely be contact Robert.

I give them a 10+ in job satisfaction because they tell you what they need to do, they do it and then they give you pictures of the process. I really liked that. The Cutting Edge came highly recommended by an extended family member.  I had quite a few roofers come to quote the work before I received that recommendation, and I knew I had found the right company when I met Rob. I had done a fair bit of research on the scope of work involved, and my questions about the products being used and the installation methods were quite technical in nature.  Rob patiently addressed each question with detailed, thorough, and thoughtful answers, where by comparison other companies lazily gave vague, hand-wavy non-answers. Rob, Jim, and the entire crew were all very professional, friendly, safe, and efficient, and treated my property with care and respect at all times.  Providing pictures of the work as it progressed, was a nice touch and great differentiator.   If you're thinking about replacing your roof this year, do yourself a favour and call them. The Cutting Edge is an absolutely stellar company, with excellent workmanship and Customer Service, and are a truly refreshing change from the vast majority of companies currently doing work in the GTA.  Thank you!

The Cutting Edge Roofers transformed my roof in just one and a half days and provided an excellent home renovation experience. The extraordinary competence, precision and work ethics of the team, the high quality of all materials used and the level of care for each phase of the roofing process (from the removal of old shingles to the thorough cleaning of eavestroughs and ground) inspire confidence and pride. Pictures of the work in progress (received upon completion) confirm my initial perception that The Cutting Edge does NOT ‘cut corners’. Truly reliable and trustworthy workmanship highly recommended!
