We required a plumber to fix the pipes from our 2nd floor bathroom to the 1st floor as the builder had installed them incorrectly when the house was first built and caused major leak issues. We contacted Mags Mechancial to help us. Magnus showed up on time and was curteous and professional. He did a fantastic job. We recently purchased a 100 year old Victorian and we wanted to have a gas line installed for the BBQ. I called Mags on a recommendation from a friend and he was timely, professional and very knowledgeable. It was a complicated job as the line had to run along the siding of the house and he informed me re: all the laws and regulations about the type of pipe needed. He came back that same week to install it and he called later on to check that we were satisfied. His rates are reasonable and I trusted him enough to leave him in my house while I went back to work. Our mainshutoff valve was frozen open and we needed to change a washer in the bathtub. There are no individual shutoff's for the tub so all the water in the house had to be shut off. Once we contacted MAG'S he took care of calling the city to have the outside valved checked and then again to book the shutoff a day later. He was here when the city truck shut off the water. He cut out the old valve and installed a new one in approximately 30 minutes. His work was very clean and neat. He left no mess and called the city to turn the water on again. I would recommend this firm without hesitation.

Our 16 yr old Furnace stopped working in November and we needed an emergency replacement. Magnus did a cost benefit analysis and advised best to proceed with new , which also carries a great 10 year warranty. He and his team member worked very hard on our behalf until 1030 pm and returned the next day to complete the project. I would recommend him. He is Trustworthy, professional and very competitively priced. He also made sure to advise us to get an energy audit within 5 business days so we qualified for the $1400 rebate. We are very happy and the furnace is quiet and saves us money every month in energy costs and our home's heat is more evenly distributed now. Great Job Many thanks.

Magnus recently serviced our gas-fired boiler. Never before had I seen such thorough work. He actually removed the burner unit from the furnace in order to clean it and undertook a series of instrument readings to ensure that the flue was operating properly afterward, that all seals were sound, and that carbon monoxide levels were within acceptable limits. His work was far better than previous contactors who charged almost twice as much and whose work did not approach Magnus' standard. Most simply vacuumed the burner quickly while it was in place without doing much else. To cap it off, "Mags" is a very pleasant person and very trustworthy. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to others. In fact, he was recommended to me from a very highly rated heating contractor who is listed on HomeStars. It doesn't get better than that.
