Very happy with results. They showed up on time, finished on time and left everything clean after the job was done. Everything blends in very well. Definitely recommended and would use them again.

This is the third time we have used Straight Up Masonry in the last two years. These guys are great workmen, on time no mess and pleasant. Thumbs Up on all counts.

They were prompt and professional in responding to my queries, showed up when they said they would, and did a very nice and professional job repairing our front porch, removing the damaged stones, and parging. I would certainly use them again.

Tony came to give me a quote first thing the next morning just the day after I contacted the company for an estimate. He suggested an option to replace the old window sills that I hadn't been considering, and I'm so glad he did because it looks amazing! When I told him I was getting other quotes he agreed that was a good idea, and he suggested a couple of things I could ask the other contractors, like what kind of mortar they use when repairing a 100-year-old home like mine. Then he told me what his company uses and why. Tony's quote was very fair and in line with the others I received, but it was his prompt response and helpful suggestions (none of the other contractors suggested the sills and I had to ask THEM about the mortar) that convinced me to hire him. He was able to schedule the work just a week later, and the guys arrived both days at 7:30 to start work. They were friendly, professional and able to answer any questions I had. They left the area clean. And when the work was done and I identified a small area they had assumed was my neighbour’s, they willingly came back the very next day to complete it at no extra cost. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Tony’s company again for similar work based on the quality, timeliness and sense of confidence I got from him and his team. I have already given the Straight Up Masonry contact details to a friend.

Tony and his crew did a great job on my deteriorating front porch. While other businesses suggested only a complete tear-down would work (a much more expensive option), Straight Up was able to work with what was there and do a very solid and attractive looking repair job. They were also very clear about the work that was needed and communicative throughout the entire process.

The estimate was higher than I had expected for work I really should do myself and it was my first experience with Straight Up. But I liked Tony's no-nonsense approach -- and was not disappointed. Crystal in the office was a good communicator, the work crew great, the job done well (despite the rain) and I consider the money well spent. These folks really are "straight up."

We got a couple of quotes to fix our chimney, and Straight Up Masonry gave us the best price with what we thought was the best solution -- a complete rebuild. Another company quoted us more to tuck point our chimney, which was made out of two kinds of brick and basically crumbling. They did a great job. It was close to the end of season so we were lucky to get them to do the work before winter. They had the whole job done in two days, came on time, kept me informed about the progress, and our patio may have been cleaner after they left. Since we have a 100 year old house, we wanted to match the chimney to the old brick. Straight Up Masonry used a new product that looks like old brick which looks amazing. We're happy to recommend as we'll be having them back next spring to do some tuckpointing.

Tony and Crystal are wonderful to work with. My chimney was very difficult to access and it was necessary to put the scaffolding on neighbouring properties. They spoke with neighbours and got their agreement, did the work quickly, left the worksite clean and the new chimney looks great. I highly recommend this company!
