We recently completed a major 3-story addition to our home with Ottawa General Contractors, and weve been very pleased with the results! From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the process. The team took the time to thoroughly understand our vision for the addition and offered valuable input throughout the design process to ensure that the the end result was both functional and aesthetically pleasing while taking into account our various changes and answering our many questions. The project itself was complex, involving multiple floors, structural modifications and custom finishes, but Ottawa General Contractors handled it all from start to finish. They managed the timeline well with only minimal delays and presented various solutions to any problems that were encountered. The crew and various subcontractors were hardworking, respectful and always left the worksite clean and organized. We were continually impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship, in particular the moulding work from Oliver which perfectly matched the original and existing work in the home. The final result exceeded our expectations in every waybeautiful, well-constructed and perfectly aligned with the vision we had for our home. The addition complements the original structure, and were thrilled with how it turned out. What truly stood out was the response to any concerns or issues that were raised or that was encountered. A special shoutout to Abdull who managed the project and who truly appreciated the finer details of what we were hoping to achieve. Hes been great at responding to any concerns that we have since the project has closed which has been very much appreciated. Truly a great guy! Overall, we highly recommend Ottawa General Contractors for any home renovation or construction project. They kept us updated throughout the entire process, and we always felt confident that our project was in good hands.

The end product is very good. Quality tiling - good clean finish. I also liked the respectful and attentive listening to what I wanted for my renovation. It cost a little more than the original estimate due to extra accessories and unforeseen floor and wall issues.

OGC renovated my 1987 kitchen in 2022. They removed a load bearing wall, installed a beam in its place and refinished and installed new hardwood floors throughout the ground floor. There were a lot of delays initially as with most renovations especially during COVID, however the job was completed professionally, and I continue to receive lots of compliments about my kitchen. A few weeks ago, I noticed a couple of cracks in the ceiling and walls and figured it would be due to the house settling after the removal of the load bearing wall and beam installation in 2022. I called OGC and they sent a team within days to check it out. They fixed all the cracks in the wall, repainted the entire ceiling at zero charge to me. One of the painters pointed out that one of the ceiling cracks was due to poor strapping which is unrelated to the beam installation. Nevertheless, OGC did not charge me for this even though I would have been on the hook since it was not their fault. I would like to add that due to some poor communication with one of the plumbers they had hired at the time of the reno, I had a water pump that never worked like it was supposed to. OGC fully refunded me, which I appreciate for both their after-market warranty and also for their honestly that there was a problem with the installation that couldn't be fixed. I would hire them again based on the customer service I received during and after the renos.

Newly purchased house needed to be made into our home: added new beautiful herringbone patterned flooring, new powder room, pocket door and kitchen wall reconfiguration, removal of wall between two small bedrooms. Staff at OGC and their subcontractors were great to deal with: Brian gave our vision form, Paul kept things on track and was extremely helpful along the way, everyone was so pleasant to deal with - Kamal, Houssam, Sebastien, Murad, all the ladies I dealt with in the Admin/Finance areas and last, but certainly not least, Oliver - he's a treasure! I hope I didn't forget anyone - they were all super!

Comprehensive work from design to demo to construction and material selection. Responsive to concerns and problems were addressed immediately. Would recommend them for those interested in having the whole project taken care of from beginning to end. Great work and am thrilled with the result.

We worked with Ottawa General Contractors on an addition and renovation. We added a new master bedroom and renovated 2 existing bedrooms - making one into a home office. We replaced all flooring on the main level, and updated windows and all exterior lighting. The entire OGC team were very professional and accommodating. From planning to materials selection to project execution, everyone we dealt with was attentive and customer-focused. All of our questions and concerns were addressed promptly and with expertise. It was a very positive experience, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend OGC to others.

We hired OGC to completely renovate our upstairs main and ensuite bathrooms (including replacing the ensuite tub with a huge walk-in shower), replace kitchen cabinets, flooring and install a coffee bar and replace flooring in the foyer, guest powder room and basement. The OGC team all helped make it a positive experience with special shout-out to Chelsea (Materials), Marley (Project Manager) and Jeff, Donald, John, Richard (the in-house team) providing good advice, excellent materials and beautiful finishings. The sub-contracted trades-people were all highly skilled and professional. We would recommend OGC to others.

Engaged OGC to perform an extensive exterior renovation on our 55 year old bungalow, including new insulation and siding, and the installation of a sliding patio door to replace an existing window. The renovations also required filling in an existing basement window, electrical work, trim and paint, and the building of an exterior step. OGC project management was very professional and easy to work with, and the contractors were as a rule also skilled and professional in their work. The project did take longer to complete than expected, mainly due to a combination of materials availability and occasional contractor scheduling.

OGC put in a new on-suite, and renovated our main bathroom. They expanded our foyer, and opened up our kitchen/dining wall room to improve sight lines. We also split off space from a large bedroom to create an office space. Everything looks wonderful.
