    First-rate tuckpointing and parging

    I contacted Browne's Contracting because our 100+ year-old Upper Beach home had aging brickwork and cracks in the foundation. Mike promptly came out to look at the property, and explained that tuckpointing and parging would fix the issues. He very quickly prepared a written quote for a competitive price. Very glad we chose to go with Browne's Contracting, as the work was beautifully done, and both Mike and Dana were a pleasure to deal with. A few degraded bricks had to be replaced, but I challenge you to pick them out... the match is that good!

    Quality Work - completed more than expected

    I shopped around for someone to replace some brick and do some pointing on my old victorian home. Browne's was not the cheapest and neither the most expensive. The reason I decided to go with them is because Mike was professional in his communications, negotiations, and pricing. For example, while other contractors were providing lower prices, they were also willing to do the work in below zero weather or when it was raining. This affects the quality of the work. Mike offered to only do the work when the conditions were right, which I appreciate. Also, when he started the work he realized there were a lot more bricks that should be replace and he went ahead and did it without charging me extra. The photos below are of some of the areas but they did more pointing all around the front of the home.

    Mike was professional, friendly, timely, helpful, creative, reasonably priced and got the job done. Honestly, I wish that all contractors were as easy to work with.

    Brickwork Repair

    We called Mike about chipping brickwork in our 80-year-old home. He got back to us, came to look at the work needed, gave us a quote, and finished the work (carefully fixed spalling brickwork adjacent to our stucco addition, tuckpointed, ground out old brickwork and corrected other sections of our home needing repair) all within a week! Excellent work, answered our questions, matched new brickwork with existing brickwork all with a friendly and can-do attitude. We and our home have found a gem!

    Tuckpointing

    Mike was hired to do some tuckpointing at my house. The were cracks and holes in a lot of places, and other DIY patch work done by previous owners. Mike did a really great job, really thorough which was important, and matched the colour of the cement to match the house so that it looks natural. Really happy with the work done. I would hire Mike back anytime. Thank you again!

    Golden Team, 10 isn’t enough!

    We live in a 102 years old house and a lot of our bricks were crumbling and needed to be replaced. We couldnt be happier with how the house looks. Its hard to tell whats been changed. They treated our house like a historic building and what they did isnt a regular masonry work, it is a work of art and historic restoration. Mike, Steven, Gavin and Carlos are honest, kind, dedicated, passionate. We couldnt have had a better team of people work on our house. Thank you thank you thank you! Cant wait to work on many more projects with you guys!

    Replaced grout on porch steps and brick work

    Mike and his team did a great job. They arrived on time, completed the work effectively and cleaned up. The whole process went very smoothly and we are happy with the work.

    Job well done :)

    Mike provided a reasonable quote and did an excellent job of fixing my chimney. He was on time and efficient and went over and above what was needed. I would recommend Browne’s contracting

    Chimney Repointing/Repair

    Professional, quick and eager handling of the matter at hand! Mike is a very knowledgeable and courteous. Great conversations and he explained every single step that he was doing. His quote was comprehensive and easy to understand. I will make sure to hire him for future projects! 10 out of 10 stars!

    Tuck pointing

    Mike is very professional and he knows his job very well. He is very reasonable too. It was pleasant working with him. Would definitely recommend working with him.
