    Household wiring and certification

Had Bill Tang check our whole house for code compliance And install new outlets including outside outlets, nice job, done well. They did a very organized and efficient job and we were very pleased with the result. He is an extremely neat worker he also responded promptly to a later request for project documentation.

Replacement of Knob and Tube wiring

Our experience with Bill and his team was excellent from start to finish. There were no surprises. Bill gave us a detailed list of the work to be done and how much it would cost. Bill was organized, knowledgeable and thorough. He supervised the work on a regular basis and checked in with us to make sure that everything was going well. The team was courteous, experienced and efficient and did the work with care. It made a huge difference that they plastered the walls afterwards. We also received confirmation that the work had been done satisfactorily after an inspection by the ESA.

    Answer from pro:

Thank - you. I will pass on the kind words to me team.

    Great team, and great service

Bill and his team were professional and knowledgeable, and gave me a quote for what I needed, not just what I asked for. This was great as a first time home owner, and first time renovator I needed this guidance because to be honest, I didn't have the first clue about any of it. Since renovating my basement in the last month I have come across some electrical issues, and I will happily be contacting KNT again to help me solve them.

    Answer from pro:

Thank-you I was very impressed with the final outcome of your reno. I bet you and your wife are happy to be out of the basement. Anyways enjoy your new house-see you around the neighbourhood.

    KNT

I was contacted by Bill after posting an electrical project on HomeStars. I was looking for someone to replace KNT wiring we discovered when we opened up the ceiling in our basement of our 90 year old home. He gave me a detailed quote and did job in a very timely manner. Actual pricing worked out to be cheaper than quoted. Highly recommend KNT! Bill and his crew were friendly, fast and professional.

    Answer from pro:

I am glad we were able to finish the job less than quoted. Our policy is to try and have good surprises-we are glad to credit work that we did not have to do. Our detailed quote allows for maximum transparency. Thank you for the nice recomendation.

knob and tube removal throughout house

It has taken me months to getting around to this review - mostly because I wanted to make sure that no issues would crop up that weren't addressed. We're so glad we went with this company for a number of reasons. Our old East end home had had some electrical upgrades, but there was still k&t on every floor. It was quite miraculous how they managed to do the work with a minimum of fuss and probably the smallest and fewest holes possible, (according to someone who looked at the work and compared it to another job he had seen). Everything was kept neat and tidy, great attention was paid to clean up, holes were patched expertly, the workers were accomodating when we asked for changes - all in all a everything was terrific. Most importantly, their quote was also the best out of four that we had gotten and as a result we literally saved thousands of dollars. Frankly the biggest hassle related to the job was after they left and nothing to do with KNT i.e. having to paint the entire house! We would certainly use knt again.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for the review & especially providing confirmation to the minimal number & size of holes we need to make to fish the wires. I am glad we were able to save you money with our competitive quote. Sorry for the hassle of painting.

    total knob and tube replacement

We had KNT replace all of the knob and tube in our near 100 year old home which was many rooms. It was a big job! Overall, we were satisfied with the service. Bill is friendly, very detailed and transparent with all of the costs so there were no surprises. Everyone worked hard and were courteous. We used them a couple times since then. I would recommend KNT electric.

    Knob and Tube Replacement

Bill and his crew were great to work with from end to end. With an older home that needed a full electrical upgrade Bill came to quote on the job with very little notice and exceeded our timing expectations by pushing up the job by 3 weeks. All floors were covered and work was completed, patched and cleaned very nicely. Really appreciate the speed and professionalism of KNT Electric. A+ Would recommend and call on again.

    Knob and Tube Replacement

Bill walked through our house testing every plug and light fixture. He sat down and gave me an overview of the work that needed doing and then followed up with thorough written report. We had 4-5 guys in our house for a week. They made sure our stairs were covered and furniture draped to protect from the plaster dust. They were friendly and considerate. At the end of the job, we were given a new directory for our fuse box and the satisfaction of knowing our wiring would now be safe and approved by our insurance company. Thank you Bill!

    Knob & Tube Replacement

Starting from the initial meeting with Bill, all the way through the project, I was impressed. We had knob and tube wiring in unrenovated spaces of our home and Bill's team came in to replace it in a matter of 3 days. There was little disruption to our space, the team kept everything spotless, and they were always polite and friendly. They patched all the holes and left them paint-ready. It was painless. Bill didn't hesitate to send an electrician back on several occasions as we had built-in cabinetry installed, requiring electrical and cable installation, and to replace light fixtures after the k&t job was complete, all at no additional charge! If you need k&t replacement, this is the company to use! Thank you Bill.

    150A Breaker Panel Replacement

My parents were looking for a master electrician to replace their Fuse Box to the Breaker Panel. After obtaining quotes from 3 companies, we have decided to go with KNT Electric and that was a great decision. Ken and his crew came to the house on time and finished the entire job without making any mess by 4pm. My parents are very happy and grateful of the service. According to my dad, Ken and his crew were “very friendly and professional”. Thank you very much Bill, we will definitely recommend KNT Electric to our families and friends.

    Answer from pro:

I am glad we were able to accommodate- because a 150A breaker panel is not standard equipment-kudos to the guys at Paul Wolfe in sourcing
