    Excellent work

    KNT worked efficiently and transparently. They completed the job beautifully and on time. The workers were polite and helpful. The management kept me posted on progress. There were no extra costs and they patched all the holes made for rewiring. I was amazed at how well they patched everything.

    Knob and Tube Replacement

    We are first time homebuyers who bought an old home that had knob and tube wiring. We called a few electricians who quoted high prices and had a ton of concerns about doing such a project. Then we called KNT Electric, and they had no problem with the request. Tim came and checked it out, Danny led the work and in the end the whole project was done in one week. Full wiring replacement and they patched up the walls so we could then bring in a painter. Definitely would recommend them to anyone needing this work.

    Dryer Plug Installation and other work

    I called KNT because Id been impressed with their estimate a few years ago. Their pricing was clear and Tim was thorough and realistic about changes or additions I might make to my plan. I ended up using a different electrician because of a few other factors, and was not entirely pleased with the result. In early December of 2023 I contacted them to install a plug for a clothes dryer. I also needed advice about a couple of other items, including a hard wired baseboard heater that wouldnt turn on. KNT responded the next morning to let me know that there would be an indefinite wait because of staffing and demand. If I needed the work done quickly and chose a different company I should let them know. I was determined to use them and settled in for a month long wait. They called two weeks later on a Sunday evening to let me know that an opening was available that week. The next day, Monday, they did the job. Ken was right on time. He gave me honest advice about the cost and messiness of connecting the baseboard heater (which hadnt been wired by the previous electrician). I chose to postpone that work until later. Ken installed the wiring and plug for the dryer. That night my son got home and had a look at the work that had been done. He touched the electrical panel and got a shock. He also noticed that the heating ducts were energized in some way. He turned off the breaker for the new plug and we called KNT. Ken came back the next morning. He immediately diagnosed a problem with the grounding and bonding of the houses electrical system which we didnt know about. He went to Home Depot to get the needed hardware and fixed the problem with no additional charge. Im very glad to have gone with KNT. I hope theyll be available for any future work on the house.

Ken is one of my master electricians and oversees our knob and tube replacement projects. Thank you for understanding my open scheduling system and allowing me to contact you at the last minute to get your job done. The reason is I use the smaller jobs for when we have some downtime in between our core business knob and tube replacement for home insurance purposes. My last-minute queuing system works best for homeowners who work from home and do not mind a last-minute appointment. I reach out into the queue based on geography as most of our knob and tube replacement projects are located within the M4, M5 and M6 postal codes K&T replacement is kind of like vascular surgery for the home. Once we start a project, we do not want to inconvenience the client any longer than we must and our goal is to complete the job ASAP with "no delays, no stories and no games" (I have heard horror stories and experienced these things with contractors at my own home". So, thank you for sharing your experience and waiting for KNT Electric. I must be honest it was a combination of issues that electrified the panel and heating ducts. Without going into too much detail, our mistake was the problem and not having the gas furnace bonded and getting a shock was the symptom. Everything is good now. Happy New Year 2024, Year of the Dragon.

    Great service

    Really happy with KNT Electric. We contracted them to swap out the knob and tube wiring and replace the panel (for an old house we had just purchased to live in). They worked really fast, gave good advice, were really friendly (and answered all our questions), and were really responsive typically showing up in one or two days if I ever emailed with a work request. The quality of their work is great its been over a year and weve not had any issues. While they were working (we hadnt moved in yet), they noticed a water line leak in a wall and shutoff the main for us, which was really considerate. I would hire KNT again.

    Knob and tube replacement

    We worked with KNT to replace the knob and tube wiring, and add additional plugs, switches, and fixtures. Tim and Danny were incredibly professional from start to finish. They responded immediately to our initial consultation and were able to start the work very quickly (within a week from first contact). Tim was very thorough in explaining the process and answering all of our questions. They completely the work quickly, less than 1 week including patching, and left the site clean when the work finished. Once we finished painting, the team returned quickly to reinstall light fixtures and complete final inspection. We were thrilled with their timeliness, quality of work, and reasonable pricing. I would highly recommend the KNT team to anyone, and they'll be my first call for any electrical needs going forward.

    Knob and Tube Removal Extraordinaire

    KNT are fantastic. The whole process of redoing my houses electrical was very professional; from the original assessment and quote to the crew working at my house over the course of 6 days. They were on-time and on budget. I live in a 1920s built home in Toronto, with some very old electrical work and knob and tube...but this guys knew exactly what to do and got it up to code. Also, Danny acted like a consultant. He provided me with some great suggestions to save money and for the space to look better. KNT is a top-notch business, and given my great experience working with them, they have my full recommendation.

    Knob and Tube replacement

    As we needed to replace Knob and Tube throughout most of our home, there was an element of anxiety re cost, damage and disruption. We cannot find enough good things to say re KNT. The estimate was reasonable and close to the final price. The job was done quickly with 3 or more electricians here each day. The damage was minimal considering the amount of work needed on this two story home and they did a superb job patching up the holes made. Our experience with KNT has been positive and I would be happy to consult with anyone looking update any electrical needs in their home. Best choice we could have made.

    new panel in institutional building

    KNT provided very responsive customer service, a clear detailed estimate with cost breakdowns, a timely installation, and superb technical work. At our request, several options for installing a new panel were prepared, with a clear description of the costs associated with each option. Communication about the project was excellent throughout, including working through the details of making the new unit fit within the existing cabinet. All of our requests were implemented with care and expertise. I would add that this company's technical knowledge is very impressive (an issue arose and Tim was aware of a recent recall in the US of certain panels -- this indicates to me a high degree of current technical awareness). The pricing was very competitive compared to other estimates.

    Knob and tube replacement

    Danny and Tim from KNT did a great job replacing our knob and tube, designing and installing new receptacles and switches. They were professional, efficient, and had great communication through each step. Will definitely use them again.
